Amazing skatepark for any levels. Next to it has got playpark and beautiful rose garden and green glass house too. There are toilets inside green house and little parking next to the park.

I know this is a public space and obviously, everyone has the right to use it but in general, this skatepark is pack full of wee children, some of them really really young, so it’s pretty difficult for skateboarders to actually enjoy the place, as you can see them trying to avoid all the children getting in the middle without looking around... in order to not injure them or themselves. Which is annoying because, since skateboarding on the streets is not really allowed... this is the only place they can do it.

Very good for ramp. Skatepark is really big but I don't like the design, I'm missing many street obstacles, the street part is very poor for being the biggest skatepark of Edinburgh. Concrete is getting old, it doesn't dry quickly and there are many children with scooters

It's a very good skate park but can get very busy at time but my daughter lovely going thery when the weather is nice it ones she got over being scared+frightened of the bigger girls+boy you can't get her away from it ok

Its great for the kids to have fun with lots of different level easy to hard skateboarding but also is a magnet for older youths & young adults to smoke cannabis/weed it happens on regular occurrence. You also get butt vehicle owners parking on new flower beds and the pavements preventing wheelchair and pedestrians access!!

Too many parents treat this place like a kids play area. It's designed for bikes, skateboards, rollerblades and scooters. If you let your kids run around and get in everyone's way then don't be surprised if people are rude to you. If you bring young kids here with scooters then you need to teach them to take their turn and watch out for other people riding the ramps. Apart from that, it's a great park and most of the people you'll meet there are friendly as long as you don't hog the ramps and get in the way constantly!

By far the best/only outdoor skate park in the area with a playground right next to it. Some well designed sections that naturally separate newbies, intermediates and pros make this a safe environment for the young and young at heart. I've found the crowd using the park are friendly and happy to talk and swap tips and tricks with me and my wee one. The only downside has been the slippery surface as autumn/winter has come in. Someone is sweeping it clean but it's still a bit of an ice rink when it's wet, especially in the early mornings. Note: Parking can be difficult on Saturday/Sunday mornings as there are junior football leagues also using the park.

It was really fun and I recommend you try going there to the community there is good and there are lights you can stay there late if you want to.

Ok this is an amazing place ! Just gotta say 4 things that could change ... 1.people cycling in the rose garden 2. Broken glass found in pond 3 my child got stuck in the park 4. The taps in the bathroom are way too powerful

My 4 year old son had a great time on his first visit there with his scooter. The older guys were aware of him and gave him space and there was plenty of "beginner" level ramps etc for my wee guy to try out.

On visiting as visitor to the Saughton Skatepark loads for the kids to do hours of fun. And plenty room for parents to picnic about and watch the up and comming fly through the air. Oh and it's outside which is great.

One of my favorite parks to skate at with skateboarders of all skill ranges. Flood lights stay on till late hours of the night making it a great option if you work late.

Good park go all the time if u bring ur kids here to run about or young kids on scooter don’t be surprised if me or the other BMXers completely obliterate ur son/daughter it’s not our fault we will try to stop but it’s really not our job

Saughton skatepark, twenty five years in the making and ten in place.. Saughton , a council built park took nearly three decades to succeed in finding permission to build, to source contractors and a suitable venue. Saughton has a concrete mini bowl , large concrete master bowl with metal coping which stretches out into a clover type bowl. A large reservoir embankment with hips and rollovers and a huge flat bottom. A group of banks which skate nicely at the far end, a small collaboration of differently shaped transitions with equally different indecies. Equally good for skaters, bmxers and scooters though built primarily as a skatepark. Free access twenty four hours , no guard , no real trouble , surrounded by fencing for security, near a section of the water of leith and close to a few large supermarkets, shops and schools/colleges.

Not a bad wee park and defiitely the best open-air skatepark in Edinburgh. Plenty space on most days, though gets a bit busy on the weekends and extremely family-friendly, meaning common skating etiquette can be hard to find sometimes. That aside, it's a very well-designed park for all sports from boards to bikes and has some killer transitions. Watch out for some sharp lips on the corners of the bowls :)

Best skate park around but plenty of rubbish laying around especially at the bottom of the ramps. A simple clean up would help a lot.

Went after midnight had the place to ourselves with lighting on and cctv so it all felt very safe.

Guys there are sound, little crowded in the middle of the day but if you go after 4 or 5 it's a bit calmer
