E. G.Loved it clean tidy. Bit tight at gates to sit and circulation apace. But staff kind supportive. Ice good smooth quality. Some rinks trust me it's rutted at the start.
This is nice boots hire good condition and sharp .
R.Used to love this place and go every week without fail to see pirates. Don't go that often now since pirates stopped which is a shame and a huge waste. We need a new professional team in hull as I doubt pirates will return now but the arena is a fun and great place to be. Just need a reason to visit again.

Lady, where you return your boots, a bit demanding, getting kids to wrap laces round boots before returning, when they didn't come out neatly wrapped.
J. H.Great place to take the kids ice skating. Bug rink and they love the under 18s junior disco on a friday night. Loud music, flashing lights etc and a cafe with a viewing area where adults speculating can watch and grab a drink.

L. B.Brilliant venue for public skating, friendly staff and discos are amazing. Sometimes hockey matches can run over slightly into the public skate sessions on a Saturday but you are able to watch the end of the game. Brilliant atmosphere!

M. T.Great place to come and use, reasonably priced. The facility is basic and showing it's age in places. Kids love it, adults enjoy it to. The hire of balance penguins and polar bears for children is brillant! Hopefully a new site for new rink to be built will happen as it's a great asset to the city, be a shame to lose it.
a. l.It's a good sized skating arena but a bit worn looking . Not changed in the 20 years we have made odd visits but nothing wrong if you just want to skate ( and you like oasis music as it's all they play - and yes that's not changed in 20 years either 😂)

M. S.The public two hour session turned out to be 1 hour 30 mins after queuing. Didn't want to skate but was still charged £180 to sit and watch my children ended up being expensive for us.
K. H.On the outside of the building it’s a bit run down, needs a lick of paint, but I find £13 for an adult to see the Hull Pirates is really cheap. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, and the Pirates’ supporters are friendly and chatty too, as it was my first time seeing them. Toilets are always clean, and drinks are reasonably priced too. Didn’t have any food in the café though so don’t know if that was cheap or not.
M. W.Great and the price is good. Only downfall is that they had some people flying around like maniacs yet the rules dictate no speed skating. The Marshalls didn't do anything about it. Loved it and the price was good just really busy would recommend again. Perhaps not on a Saturday as it was really busy.
A. M.Good fun and surprisingly busier than I expected. Kids were there for a party, and facilities were good. Little penguin prop things were really useful for the little ones who aren't so confident skating or for big ones who are rubbish at it. The one thing I would have changed is the skates I got were a bit blunt... If the queue was smaller I would have taken them back to swap. One piece of advice - if you're using their boots wear some thick socks... I didn't and they made mincemeat of my feet still have blisters two days later 😂
C. B.Friendly staff, no problem parking, which was refunded against our entry fee. We were ice skating - the hire boots were clean, good conditon and given out by helpful staff. Clean, bright, safe environment, with cheap refreshments.

Was really really fun . Good venue , littles ones loved it. Prices are dead cheap! Parking is free right outside . Good experience and the children skate aids were very good and helpful ! I would definitely go again and recommend others to check this place out ! 🙏🏼 ☺️ huge skate rink !
J. d.Spent 10 minutes stood queuing outside in the cold and another queue to get skates but once on the rink it was great fun. Hire skates are very uncomfortable and the whole place was very tired and dirty.
S. K.A nice Sunday morning out for the family. Not expensive and plenty of ice skating aids (penguins) for the first time skater. Toilets could do with a deep clean but not to bad.
k.Always having fun inexpensive people and the staff are always friendly if you fall they'll ask if you're okay and if you need any help! Can hire ice skates and have disco nights aswell so you can meet new people or just have a good night out!
H. G.Good ice skating rink, not too busy, but the staff at the counter where you get ice skates were slightly unfriendly and seemed irritated when people needed to try on more than one set of boots before they got a good fit. Otherwise ok.
E. J.Place hasn't changed since it was built and needs a revamp, although they could be building another one soon, does what it says on the tin. Value for money £5 for a 4 hour session (without skate hire). Food is reasonably priced too. Only bug bear is you have to pay for parking and you never used to.
L. M.This building is getting old and very tired, it's time the council did something with it or rebuild a new venue. The cafe is run by the council and is basically a shambles, it's like the blind leading the blind. No wonder they don't make any money from it. The manager needs a kick up the preverbial back side.
In general some staff in the arena as a whole are good and nice but they are few and far between.
I. F.Went to the disco session with my son and his friends. A bit like being 16 again but with only a fraction of the ice skating skill. Super helpful staff too. Great fun.
s. b.Really enjoyed our visit here. Surprised that we weren't the oldest - it wasn't full of kids although there were a group of lads who were really good skaters but unfortunately they acted like knob heads, trying to scare people. Shame because I was impressed with their skating skills
R. H.I enjoy going ice skating, but I drop one star simply because the place could do with a little tlc, I used to go as a teenager 25 years ago and this place has not changed one bit, even the blue rubber flooring is the exact same floor I walked on as a kid, it looks very warn in places.
The hire skates are terrible too so it's worth buying your own to save your feet from unnecessary pain
R. B.Looking a bit toed from the outside however inside it is much better. The changing rooms are a higher standard than other rinks. Ice is very well maintained and enjoyed playing hockey on it. One of the better rinks in my opinion.

M. M.I think this is one of the better ice rinks in the north of England. Always a friendly atmosphere, great ice and great value. Also not owned by planet ice. More council operated rinks please.
The cafe serves great food and is always open.
N. M.Great ice rink! The the session times are convenient, it's quite large and has a lot to offer.
My complaint is is that the rental skates are quite bad. The blades are almost completely dull and apparently only are sharpened once a year. Additionally the skates are solid plastic and are much more difficult to use compared to the skates on sale.
However, there is a skate shop on site that sells everything you need. You can find also sharpen your blades there.
M. V.The ice is reasonably well organised, equipment in decent condition, staff mostly friendly and helpful. The outside of the building looks like a 90's council funded building from the outside. Grey, with peeling paint and moss. It certainly could do with some investment to make it look better.
L.Nearly £14 for 2 adults which is pricey for the time you get to skate, good fun and good arena, price is the only downside would be more reasonable at maybe £8/10 for 2 adults.
r.Hard to rate accurately as I only come for the ice hockey. The arena itself is decent and the atmosphere is great but the toilets need some tlc and as fab as the catering staff are, the choice isn't great and there's nothing healthy
Z. R. J.It was so fun. It's cheap but absolutely amazing. Careful if you go. You can rent ice skates and there is a café and lots of helpful things.
N.Even though this is a Game Arena Quality of Ice could be better. Other than that good experience with ice skating. If ice was better maintained by staff would have been a flawless experience. Might be going again soon so could update this.

D. B.I go to watch ice hockey which is great but the ice arena is starting to look tatty and old. Also the staffing in the cafe & bar is usually quite sparse meaning long waits to be served and quite expensive, i.e. £4 for a surger can of guiness (not even proper draught beer) last season.
H. R.Large, versatile rink but the opening times are not convenient during the week for public skating. The ice is often not cleaned after a hockey match which makes it really difficult to skate on
I. B.great entertainment venue. Was there for an event called Rock Challenge which is a project to get kids in primary schools all over the UK to take part in regional events to showcase the talent that exists at grassroots level in schools everywhere. We were there for one of the local events which my grand daughter was taking part in as part of her school team. The event was really well organised and all the children performed their hearts out and couldnt have tried any harder. All together more than 200 kids took to the stage that night and the talent was superb. The organisers and the venue staff should be very proud of theirselfs as the whole event went without problems. But the stars of the show were the kids.A REALLY BIG WELL DONE TO EVERY ONE OF THEM

P. E.Disappointing that one has to pay for parking, the arena itself is OK, a little run down. Did not serve beer at an ice hockey match, which isn't good. Not sure what the ice is like as we did not skate. Shame we lost!
T. 2.A very good location for ice skating, the price is a bit ever budget but If you bring ice skates it'll be £2.50 cheaper. The food service is okay and isn't that expensive.
A. M.It's a great place, you can see and do lots of things like Ice Hockey (Hull Pirates) and go ice skating. Also the car park is free on Sunday which is a bonus.👌
C. N.Bit run down..needs a re vamp.. Lockers steal your money so you can't keep re entering your locker and staff not very helpful..although kids enjoyed it so overall good...went at a reasonably quiet time on a Sunday morning.. Would go back..
