M. P.Only being going 3 weeks, however the facilities are very good especially for the price you pay. The receptionists are really cheerful and helpful, the gym does get very busy but i have noticed so far that the majority of people respect each other’s space and work out routines. The gym does have temperature issue and can be quite warm with poor ventilation. However a good gym and affordable…
s. c.I went with my kids (one autistic) to the special needs session and we enjoyed it a lot! They have a huge slide, a wave pool and a sprinkler so we had a lot of fun. In the special needs session they have toys for the children to play. I would recommend this to people who like to swim.

It's all kept clean and everyone cleans machines after use. Pool area was clean also. Changing rooms are too hot and humid, but that's the norm with these venues I find. Glad I joined!
N. M.We go most weeks and have noticed over the past few that some things have been left in a state of disrepair in the changing rooms and showers. The locks are broken on some lockers and the numbers on the keys are now almost invisible due to wear and tear. The shower heads also need cleaning as they seem to be blocked which causes the water to spray in all directions rather than straight down. I’ve reported these issues but nothing gets done.

J. R.Good for the price, good car park. Changing rooms needs working locks and need to be much cleaner. Been twice and no bin in family changing room!!! New pool is fantastic but no stands. Gym is ok. Squash courts are dirty and run down.

A. W.I visited the pool for the first time this week and what a fab place it is! Modern, clean and a lovely atmosphere in the pool with roof lights so you can imagine you are swimming in a sunny pool! The staff were extremely helpful too, it was a great experience, thanks

s. c.We went yesterday in the morning and the manager (kevin) was really good with my clients needs and help in every way he can. Then went in the evening on our bikes and nick the evening manager had helped with all situation then and whilst in the leisure centre a few kids had tried taking our bikes and they had chased them off and secured our bikes with a spear D lock to keep safe.
P. M.Daily i swim good pool hit and miss with the leisure pool temperature showers the same hair dryers need updating. The reception staff especially julie michele and sue always a smile and a chat mostly a big shout out to julie she is a great girl. The lifeguards need to smile more looks like they dont want to be here. Given up saying good morning to them just a few are chatty. Well worth a visit especially if you have children great wave machine for them.
g. h.It's has a small shallow pool, a normal size pool, or a fun pool. Note the fun pool is separate from the other two. I go swimming once a week and grandchildren have lessons in the small shallow pool.
E. S.my only complaint is the changing rooms/toilets seemed to have been very mucky and unkept.. didnt see one member of staff in there keeping on top of the cleanliness and apart from no hot water for showers .. everything else was great kids had fun.

A. T.I go to they gym and regularly swim here. The changing rooms are very clean and spacious and the staff are always friendly.

Can be crowded at times since the gym only has about 4 benches and steam/sauna can be at full capacity at peak times. The staff is usually friendly and leave you to work out alone with no disturbances. In my experience a good facility albeit slightly overpriced in my personal opinion.

N. B.Good modern sports centre with a cafe and good parking. Centre has a unisex changing room for those who wish to swim, where men, women, boys and girls share cubicles for undressing and dressing. Adult swimming members pay £23.00 per month by direct debit for off peak unlimited swims along with steamroom and sauna sessions, while non members pay £4.50 per swim session.
A. B.August 2021- currently you are only able to swim for one hour. We waited for 30 mins outside to be able to go in. Others waited longer.
Once inside a great place for kids - a big slide , waves and fun water activities.
We had an accident in the changing rooms staff were very good to help and support me.

J. H.Brilliant garden centre. Loads of indoor & outdoor plants. An area with huge model dinosaurs in plus a large restaurant. The food is very good and reasonably priced for a GC. Lots of furniture/gifts/food/tools and usual items found in a GC. Maidenhead aquatics have a large Fresh Water Tropical section with plants, tanks and accessories. There is NO Marine here. Outside is a fresh veg stall as well selling nice friut, veg and eggs. Quite a lot of parking as well as disabled slots. There's a one way system inside which is a bit confusing until you find the start.
Well worth a visit, even for just a walk round.

d. d.New booking system I place for all sessions now mean you can actually use equipment in the gym now. All equipment needs to be wiped down once you've finished which people seem to be doing. Pre Covid it was a nightmare going here as you could never get on anything as it was that busy, under lockdown it's become far quieter and you can get on equipment. Everything you use has to be wiped down and social distancing measures are in place. Biggest issue I found was there are no changing facilities for the gym, you can't change clothes once your there.

c. p.Thanks to the reception staff for all your help today. I brought my son 8 who has autism. He had a meltdown because the main pool was closed due to maintance. He was crying an refusing to move but both lady's were so kind to us. Showed him the pool so he could decide if he wanted to go in. We had a really good swim an Ryan even made a friend. J. W.I didn't notice any change in the fun pool. My husband was very disappointed that he couldn't go through to the new pool to do a couple of lengths while I played with the grandchildren in the fun area. At reception we had been given a choice of the new pool or the fun pool but with 2 toddlers we had to choose the fun pool. Also disappointed that there was no gate open to allow quick access to East Park via car or walking.
L.V clean and the staff where friendly and helpful
C.It's fun for the little ones with the wave machine and the slides etc but considering its just had the new pool and refurb you'd have thought they would have done a little something with the leisure pool to tidy it up. The life guard stand looked rusty as hell and the big slide steps had staining.
K. T.Excellent pool and gym facilities since the renovation. Prices are reasonable too. Only down side (if you can call it that) is that it's always busy. Even first thing in the morning. Other than that, can't fault it. There is something for everyone. They cater for children, adults, disabled and the elderly. There is also a cafe which I've not actually been to but looks nice enough
A. B.First time I've ever been here and what a great experience my sister brought me to teach me to swim and at first I felt stupid needing swimming aids to help me get over the fear.
I cannot believe the community spirit this place has everyone there helped they cheered me on when I got something right and swam alongside me and talked me through whenever I was panicking.
The guards quickly noticed I was just learning and I noticed they kept a close eye on me especially when my sister convinced me to swim from the deep end I noticed the guards just have a casual walk around the pool keeping a close eye on me.
And I thank you for that because it was that what got me over the fear of being in the deep end knowing u guys where close by if anything went wrong but u did it in a way that normally would have gone unnoticed.
I will be back again for my second lesson real soon but thanks to all u good people and staff I can now do about 20 strokes without swimming aids.

S. P.Woodford is a large leisure centre. 1 beach themed leisure pool with slides, waves & pirates. A regular and small pool, squish courts, gym, cycling and athletic equipment plus others. Eat in cafe as well overlooking the main pool.

F. j.Visited the pool. Kids enjoyed the pool. Reasonable price to visit, but changing rooms confusing and very badly layed out. The lockers (where people wear shoes) sit between the pool area and where u get dressed, consequently your feet get dirty before you dry as you pass through. In addition the locker are is mixed gender so if youre changing and you leave something in the locker.. youre stuffed!
N.Use the pool twice a week after work on an evening and it's always good. Staff are attentive and friendly, facilities are normally clean and times are varied to suit needs. Just know that this pool is aimed more at recreational swimmers and families with a slide and wave machine. However I rarely have problems doing laps at the deepest end of the pool. There is also a sauna and steamroom towards the back of the pool room. Good facilities all round, which are having a lot of expansion/improvement done the back end of this year (2015).

H. J.Visited for the first time today since the refurb. Only visited the main pool so cant comment on the rest of the building. The pool area itself was bright, clean and well looked after. There were 2 lifeguards on while I was there. The smaller pool looked to have plenty of things for children to play with such as pool noodles and toys. I would've prefered to have the pool laned off for ones who want to swim faster or slower so your not getting in peoples way.
Im not a huge fan of the unisex changing area. Its a big enough room that it coud have easily been separated. I had a shower and didnt feel particularly comfortable walking around in my towel with men around. Also the showers wernt great, im an average height for a woman and the spray (which couldnt be redirected) was directed towards the door so was only hitting my shoulders and head so everytime i turned around to press the button to start the shower (which only seemed to last about 10 seconds before it had to be pushed again) it hit me straight in the face! Im not sure how anyone smaller than me would manage to shower, i dont think i could shower my 5 year old in there. Having said these few negatives the building seems clean and looks better than it did before and the membership is reasonably priced so i will be returning, I just think I'll wait until i get home to shower lol
A. T.I found the gym better prepared this time. A lovely gentlemen was free enough this time to show me about, I am not used to the machines yet but I am hoping that I can get more instructions. The yoga is the next thing I Will review. I think that only having one bike downstairs is a bit backwards in the whole disabled friendly status.

H. G.Just joined for the gym mainly, went to use the main showers/changing rooms. There are separate cubicles, but no privacy as no curtains(curtain poles fitted) or doors,so you are showering in front of everyone in the changing room . The communal shower is basically the same, nowhere to hang a towel or put things down. Very badly designed & in this day & age, having no privacy.
J. H.There 3 times a week at the moment. Still not organised since opening day. The booking in system has lines of people out the door. I do the aqua classes,we have been informed there should be 45/50 people in the pool but people are been turned away and only 30/35 are in the pool. The instructor on Mon evening and Fri morning does the same routine. Lady's in the pool complain of boredom. There are not enough changing room and what there is are already broken. There are not enough adult swims times. The building and NEW pool is great but these issues need to be addressed.I gave it a five as it should reach this if they iron out issues and make changes to the booking in and swim times!!.
Sorry I'm back again for another moan Mon aqua class no instructor and they say the class is full counted only 38 lady's and should be 50 those that do NOT show up from wk to wk should be told you did not show so you can not book next week which will give others chance to get on and give it ago haha if we get a bloody instructor that is..on a good vibe did the virtual Zumba class with a friend 35 min it was fantastic quick work out easy follow along steps or if all else fails dance your own thing...will be doing this again!! Moan over haha !!

Me and my 3 beauties all had a fab time. I was able to enjoy myself due to CBD OIL tablets I had taken an hour before entering pool. I couldn't BELIEVE it when I was able to pick up all 3 of my beauties! One age 15,2nd age12,3rd age 9 in 15days!! We all had such a fun exciting time. I slept for hours once I returned home xx
M. S.The facilities are recently renovated and cannot be faulted really.
The gym is the let down which is what I joined for. It has a good selection of cardio equipment and a decent range of weight machines with two free weight racks.
The issue is having only one bench for barbell bench press, 1 squat rack and only 3 barbell including the bench and squat rack. The weights to go with these 3 plus a smith machine are few and far between. If there are 5 weightlifters on be prepared for a long wait on a bar. I joined for convenience, but will be cancelling and moving to a better facility.
It will be ideal for casual gym goers but anyone who wants to build a decent strength base would be better going elsewhere.
l. s.I Have Been Taken to Woodford Leisure Centre Twice Now in The Disability Swimming Pool and All I Can Say is Its There Best in Every Way, Helpful Friendly FULL OF Advice When You Want it and I was that Stressed and Worried about going And How I Would Be able to get in the pool but they instantly put me at my ease as they Calmly Shown me how they would put me in what the call a Pod and once my carer was in the water the Life gaurd lowered me into the Swimming Pool, it's that Brilliant I've been Twice Now. Thank you Woodford Leisure Centre From The Moment you go through the doors to the Moment You Go Out The Doors and Leave The People That work there from reception to Life Guards and Everyone that helps to make the place work its such a pleasure Leisure Centre at Woodford, O and by the way I'm 60 year's of age the place is Awesome xxx

L. H.Been going since it refurbished, good value for all the facilities and it's convenient for me to get to ,although I find it annoying that the gym doesnt stay open later on a Saturday, I would recommend that it stays open longer maybe until 6-8pm instead of 4pm.
P.A pretty good facility, the gym is fantastic and if swimming is your thing there's a training pool here as well as the leisure pool, they provide the tonic card which is a no contract subscription to pay for your use
B. 1.Great place for a swim, segregated lanes for slow, medium and fast swimmers, which makes sense. Pity we can't shower properly afterwards yet

M. L.the gym will be gone. Pools are very poorly organized for the public, while public swimming has a very often closed swimming pool and therefore it is not good to swim with great attendance, and there is a bad shower hygiene, the pools have been disappointing.

L. B.Fantastic the best in all areas from staff to facilities, my latest swim session was today 30/7/22 it was perfect to swim while we could hear the great music playing for the Aqua Exercise Ladies and gent .
