What can I say??!! Abbey Sport & Leisure is a little piece of heaven in the City. Fab facilities. fab staff members. Healthy soups and smoothies are best in town. And no being tied in to a contract. Very reasonable monthly rates

Gym Location is fab, good on-sight parking - however, in need of a revamp as the equipment is far to old compared to alot of other gyms in Leicester. If this place had a good refurbishment it would turn out to be a really nice premium gym. Also you will see private events as you switch from upstairs and down

Went for one off trial. Pool overall was decent. Changing rooms need updating, and having to walk across a hall from changing room to pool was weird ... You are walking amongst fully clothed people (normally the changing room and pool are linked).. Pool is small and dark. Steam room was good, jacuzzi was good, sauna was good. All the people I spoke to both staff and customers alike were friendly and helpful. If the changing going rooms were better this would be 4*

Had a brill party here for a 70th birthday. The buffet was great, loads of variety and home made sausage rolls and quiches were delicious. The bar staff were really efficient and all staff were lovely.

I've left in now after few years of continued membership. Some of the equipment got updated not long ago but general cleanliness and housekeeping is a big issue there. Especially shower area is bad, constantly no soap, some showers been out of order for years, broken hooks not replaced etc. In general there is something constantly out of order. You can't really swim in the swimming pool as it's more of a recreational one, people just keep walking all directions not leaving clear lane for those who wish to swim. Car park is a joke, including overflow. Not being policed therefore whatever time you come it's hard to find a spot as non gym people park there. It's not expensive tho so that's the only plus side. And chef is amazing. His breakfast is spot on, always.

Don't use the gym anymore but always go to the dances etc. Lovely place very friendly & Neil the chef had a different theme every Thursday. Last week Caribbean, also Italian, Mexican & at 2 mains for £10 excellent value.

Only been a few times with my daughter and each time there has been something wrong with the pool sauna and jacuzzi ... not very keen on seeing moled on the corking... black in this case is NOT a good look..tye whole place looks like it needs a real good clean....

Start with negatives, juzzuzi needs work pumps dont work feels like hot bath, walk to and from pool is cold, Gym is good with good range of equipment, nice bar area down stairs with dance groups and food, pool area and changing rooms are nice

A lovely place to work out! Such a diverse and friendly place and everyone is so helpful. This is the only gym that I've been to and no one has sniggered, passed comments or given judgemental looks! Parking might be a bit tricky in the carpark sometimes, but that just goes to show how popular it is. ( there's plenty of parking on the road) Definitely worth a try :) x

Fantastic classes , nice atmosphere, friendly staff , aerobic and step class with Sharon is the best ! This gym is not new and should be renovated and new equipment should be buy but if you want to spend time with lovely people then it is perfect place !
