Nice place and atmosphere. Friendly staff. Strict with rules, but that's what You need to stay safe and keep others safe. Have small groups of children for each swimming instructor. If I'm not mistaken, it used to be 8 and now reduced to max 4 children per group. All safety measures in place.

The gym have variety of equipment

All facilities were clean and modern, staff were friendly and helpful although the booking system is ludicrously overcomplicated and bureaucratic, and the main pool is lane-swimming only with 2 slow lanes, which is peculiar, no space for a general splash. Also as we'd booked the main pool we weren't allowed in the other pool which is equally bizzare. Made simply going for a morning swim unnecessarily complicated. You should be able to turn up, pay for a session and use the pool just like anywhere else.

Pool, gym and classes. Very affordable, great facilities, gym has lots of machines and is suitable for all, aimed at complete fitness. Clean facilities, friendly and helpful staff has coffee, dink and snack vending machines. For those in the local area there may be a membership discount and is on the local bus route. Has a small cafe and close the local park as well. Would recommend.

I started the gym here a couple of weeks ago either the jsut gym package. All the staff I’ve encountered are so lovely and helpful. The vibe of the gym is the best I’ve experienced (and I’ve been to a few gyms in my time). There are so many different kinds of people that go to this gym so I never feel intimidated or feel like I don’t fit in. It’s nice and spacious and an open layout which makes me feel less hot. Equipment good. Prices good! Jsut all round one of my favourite gyms. Trying to get my brother to join!!

An all in one leisure centre, from pools to swimming lessons to karate to a full on gym. This place has it all, and for a good price to get in. The swimming pools are clean and the classes are professional. The karate sessions are good to teach vital skills and provide good knowledge about the sport. And the gym, it is full of many different resources from weights for biceps, treadmills for legs and bench pressing for the chest. Whatever gym equipment you can think of, it has!

Fantastic swimming pool and sports centre my daughter took first swim in 2008. I just come to play badminton every Wednesday and keep good memories with me. Friendly staff . strongly recommend

The staff is friendly and the main pool is okay. BUT the opening times are not acceptable. Who goes to swim at 8pm or even 8.30pm, especially when you work full time and need to go to bed early. The main pool should be opened at 6pm for the public at least twice during the week, so the working people can go to swim straight after work.

Good leisure centre. Lots of parking. I use the gym, pool and sports hall. The gym has a large machine a cardio equipment space. The free weights area is too small for the subscription though with only one Olympic barbell. The squat rack also doesn't have safety struts in case you need to drop the weight. There also no air conditioning so expect to sweat a lot when the weather is hot. The main pool is great with lots of natural light and the community pool is warm which is nice if you want to just laze around. Timetables aren't always up to date though and I have gone for a swim, checked in at reception and been turned away at the pool because it was in use for something else. The sports hall is large offering six badminton courts. It's also used for numerous classes which makes for an amusing half hour of drum and bass badminton on certain days.

I'm going there most of my mornings before work. Its not too full of people so I always find machines free for my planned routine. Quite busy in the evening so if you want to train with weights or do cardio, I would recommend going late in the evening or in the morning. Lockers cost 10p and you get a key to put around your wrist or just carry it with you like I do. Showers are OK. I would prefer it running longer because it goes cold when u turn it back on. But you can keep pressing button every 30 seconds and beat the clock this way:)

Good facilities generally helpful staff sometimes queues at reception during peak times. Gym class booking could be better, sometimes people stay up till 12.00 a week before their class to ensure they get a slot.

Very clean and good. There is a big chap who is in the gym, he’s very good at gym. I recommend this place, however I have had my car stolen from the car park, and I also witnessed a gun fight in the car park aswell, between the police and a couple lads in a Vauxhall corsa.

Gym is just basic, very old machines and weight section is a joke, its so small u wont b able to work out bcause theres too many people using the free weights. Swimming pool is very good size and well kept. Theres no sauna, but you can also enjoy batmington and futsal (in seperate gym inside building) There is also free wi-fi to make up for high memberships costs. Recommended for kids swimming, Chris is the swimming coach for kids, she's great, good teacher

Ended up going to another swimming poll locally and loves it, not sure if its the temp, decor / surroundings Plus side is that they changing facilities are family so makes it easier as a family to get changed.

Having Paid twice for annual gym memberships here I can say it's got decent equipment. However, the equipment is getting very dated, and going rusty where sweat has pooled on the equipment. Most ledges ( Windows, and sills and air ducting are covered in an inch thick layer of dust also. The changing rooms are quite grim, there have been marks , and stains in most cubicles that have been there over the 4 years I've been going. One particular point is a red gummy bear stuck to the ceiling in the same spot for over 4 years. The staff are great and friendly, always have a smile and are willing to help. Don't think I'll be returning for another year though.

Council-owned leisure centre - I use the pay-as-you go gym and the swimming pool often. Don't expect the same amount of gym equipment as a commercial gym but overall the facilities are good, the pool is great with a competition-sized pool for serious swimmers and a smaller pool for children and leisure. There are also lots of classes, events and competitions.

Facilities were good, the floor in a sports hall wasn't slippery which was great for a dance competition. But toilets were awful: out of 4 taps only two could give you some water but the stream was very weak. Toilet paper run out in several cubicles but nobody replaced it.
