Went to watch the Snooker Shoot Out 2022. Focussing on the arena and not the snooker (which was brilliant), the arena itself is fantastic. Seating and temperature were perfect for an event like this. You can’t get in before the entrance time and even then, doors opening at 6pm meant they open at 6.20. Not an issue if you arrive very early because they have a marquee with a bar with heaters. But if you’re not there by 5.20pm the marquee is full and you’re stuck outside for over an hour, by the time they’ve processed everyone. If it’s cold inclement weather either be early or late.

Been to see the Riders a couple of times and most recently the British Open snooker final. Atmosphere was really good, setup was pretty good turning it into a snooker venue. Drinks facility could have been expanded, or pre poured for the mid session interval to reduce wait times.

Nice Venue. Probably better in the Summer. Was a bit Cold as they left the Doors open for the ones went for a cigarette. So got quite a draft. Normally at the Ally Pally it's Baking hot so mistakingly only wore a T-shirt.

We went to see wheelchair basketball
We couldn't get in the main door no one on reception
The gym busy lots children playing and th wheelchair basketball good to see.
As busy no proper score board or clock for the wheelchair teams who had travelled a good distance to play

I have used the arena mainly for the physiotherapist that operates within the building. However, the arena itself is very modern and quite pleasant to be in. It does not give off a run-down vibe that you would get in half the other places. They were also very safe and thorough when it came to the pandemic. The staff are always nice and welcoming whenever I visit.

Saw the snooker here. The event was set up as you would expect except for the speaker system to the centre stand. You couldn't hear a thing.....

Clean and tidy venue. Staff are friendly and helpful. If you are at ground level then seating is just basic chairs packed as close as possible. The venue has no air conditioning and so it's very hot inside. There are only one set of toilets or at least I couldn't find others so at intervals there are big queues especially for the ladies. The food bar staff were good and I got served quickly. We went to watch the Neha Kakkar concert and I have to say the venue is not suitable for music concerts. The quality of the audio was poor and the clarity of the singers was not great. It felt like the singer was drowned out by the music. We did point this out to the staff too but not a lot changed. The lighting is poor. The performers were great but it's a shame the venue doesn't help show that. Parking is a nightmare especially when leaving there are big queues. If you are thinking of going to a music concert here then think again. The venue is great for sports but definitely not suitable for music concerts. I guess the promoters use this place as it's a lot cheaper than somewhere like De Montford Hall.

Attended 2 Xmas parties here, albeit in a professional capacity, I was one of the DJ's for a Jaguar /Land Rover /BMW staff bash (just as an aside, these guys really, really do know how to lay on a party).
This was in December 2019. Fantastic venue and what a lovely crowd. I hosted an event for the company Bingo Lingo and I did a DJ set in between hosting the Bingo event, great atmosphere and very friendly crowd and staff. This was in the Xmas pre-Covid. OMG, little did we know that this would be our last Xmas party before this horrible virus wreaked havoc world-wide!. However, if this was my last Xmas party then I'd have no complaints, I finished the Bingo Lingo event early and left the crowd to party on with the next DJ. When we get back to normality, we need to support venues like this, great fun.

A very pleasant place to be. Basketball games here have a friendly and safe atmosphere and are very family friendly, unlike a lot of sports events I’ve attended Even so, security are always on hand to ensure safety. The players are friendly and are generally available and happy to take photos after matches. It is definitely worth attending a game here, even if you don’t know anything about basketball, you’ll have a good time guaranteed! The photos and videos below are from the St Patrick’s Day weekend game. It was super fun!
B. W.
Great venue for the British Snooker Open. All staff helpful and friendly too.
S. B.
Nice venue, good amounts of toilets and reasonably priced refreshments. Only let down by the appalling lack of roadsigns. No signage at all on the very busy dual carriageway, even at the turnyou need for the arena! If you missed the turn it will be a fair diversion to get back !!
J. “. F.
Went to see the quad nations wheelchair rugby. Great event and atmosphere. More people should go watch it. It's fun for the family with plenty of things happening on the court to keep all happy
V. L.
British Open Snooker was great, helpful stewards and comfy seats, easy to access venue by public transport, just a short walk from the bus station.
But 3 stars due to catering. The venues sells 'all day' tickets, snooker starting at 9am and potentially finishing after 10pm. The food outlet is woefully inadequate, just crisps and chocolate - and hot sausage rolls (no veggie food at all) which sold out by lunch time.
The venue website still says due to Covid no food or drink may be brought in, although no one thoroughly checked my bag.
More transparency on food rules, please!
N. W.
It was a great venue for the snooker tournament I attended and be any other like darts and so on
P. C.
Great nights entertainment ( Tyson fury )
Good facilities, good COVID marshalling . Just a little bit slow in getting people into their seats, but understandable at this moment in time ... So I'm being a bit harse even with just my 3 stars once COVID is under more control I'm expecting another star to report ..

Watched Ataf Aslam on Sunday 13 Feb. Wonderful performance and a great venue. Terrible for Parking though.
L. R.
Was my first time there taking my son and really enjoyed it friendly atmosphere and staff. Clean also 👌🏽
H. D.
Easy to reach venue. Event attended was well organised. Only problem was finding parking. Comming from next county it was hard to find suitable parking near the venue.
D. J.
Amazing arena definitely recommend watching Leicester riders ❤
S. O.
Leicester Riders is a great family night out. Can't fault it.
J. H.
went to the first ever gig there and there were about 3 croudsurfers at once. bouncing atmosphere to match with the bouncing basketballs
V.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Great for both fans and people who just want to watch a match once. Brilliant
L. G. B.
Awesome basketball arena, home of the Leicester Riders Basketball Club and the best place to play 'hoops in the Midlands.
D. W.
Great size venue for a gig but the bar system is a joke, can't have that many people with no bar space.
P. A.
Went to see Sonu Nigam performance
The performance was overall brilliant and the venue was perfect. We sat up on the side as we watched the performance.
Me being a musician myself, I could really appreciate what styles and instruments people were playing as well as switching time signatures on drums to amazing trills and riffs on keyboards. There was an acoustic drummer, a hybrid drummer, a keyboard player, two guitarists and a bassist.
There was also food and snacks that you could purchase. Overall the venue was also generally clean and there weren’t too many people crowding round.
The lighting and sound was good, but what do you expect from an event like this.
There was one problem though, as we came into the venue, in the security check, we had our water bottles emptied. We either had to throw these water bottles away, or had to empty them. These weren’t the cheap disposable kind either, they were expensive metal waterbottles used for climbing and other sports.
They could have notified us in advance.
But enough complaining.
I have also been here before a riders match to see what was happening.
I also gained a tour during a function at abbey park, when there was a special occasion and the venue was hired.
I would definitely recommend the venue to people who would like to book one for a performance
J. W.
I went to watch the Riders for the first time in February and took my 17y old grandson (who plays basketball) and one of his friends. What a great venue and also thoroughly enjoyable game. I was really impressed by how family friendly the whole experience was. Would definitely go again.
K. W.
Easy to find, shame no parking. Clean facilities
N. K.
Had the opportunity to watch Ustad Rahat fateh Ali Khan live here on the 25th of September 2021
Wow what a concert
Absolutely loved it
K. H.
Went for the snooker British Open. It's a great venue. Hope the snooker continues to come back every year!
S. V.
Went for an event on Saturday . Very unfriendly venue for Disabled. Staff were unhelpful and looked a bit hostile. Unless you can afford to buy a VIP ticket, don’t consider attending an event here . Left the show at interval. 22.07 2019.
I must say that after posting my review, I had a feedback call from Dave Clayton today who very patiently listened to my concerns and promised to rectify the issues. I think it’s a good gesture to take genuine criticism positively and to strive for improvement in the future. I wish the arena management and staff all the best in their endeavours . 24.07.2019.
A. S.
Went to watch the snooker! Great experience.
L. A.
Visited for SEND event which was great. Good clean facilities. Rooms upstairs great for meetings and talks. Easily accessible for wheel chair users, lift to upper floor. Only issue was signage for getting upstairs.
G. E.
Great place to work, all staff very helpful, always a pleasant 5 stars, nothing is to much trouble.
S. W.
Went to hear Bill Bailey which was fun, he put on a good show. The venue itself is, I'm sure, great for basketball but Mr Bailey was right when he described it as a shed. The acoustic wasn't great and as a result the atmosphere was lacking, he had to work hard to get anything out of us! Toilets clean. Bars didn't have long waits and the queueing to get in and out was fairly painless.
D. E.
Brilliant experience for a family & corporate outting. We have been many times as a family to watch the amazing Leicester Riders Basketball Team. Great facilities and everything is accessible for wheelchair users & plenty of parking.
We recently went to the L Factor event in March. It was amazing to see how the usual basketball court and seating was transformed into a music event. Full staging for the band and performers. Fully equipped bar and good facilities.
I would strongly recommend.
Diana.
J. B.
The Arena is not a bad venue but I'v seen much better. Parking is easy, plenty of car park choice but allow an extra 15 minutes walk time to your journey. 2 long queues to get drinks they should have more queues available. Some seats are positioned sideways which is not ideal to watch a performance at an angle. John Bishops show was brilliant there.
D. G.
Saw Bill Bailey here. As it's a basketball venue it is not ideal for a comedy gig, unless you have seats in the middle, because you are quite a distance from the stage. However, you get an unobstructed view, the facilities are good and the staff very helpful.
J. B.
Went to watch a Leicester Ryders game for the first time last Saturday. Atmosphere was great and I would really recommend it. Only downsides were one bar was closed at half time so due to the cue I missed some of the second half. Also the stands aren't well labelled so finding your seat wasn't the easiest.
M. W.
Brilliant atmosphere. Best BBL stadium in the country? Without doubt.
C. W.
Watched the pdc grand Prix it was superb the venue was great but needs better food
W. S.
It's a good place to go if you want to exercise and if you want to take your child(ren) it's absolutely fine. There is some space for kids to run around and also some couches to relax on if you get tired. There is a restroom for male and female and a changing room with showers (if your sweaty) for male and females too. There are chairs on each basketball court if there is a match going on.
Hope my review helped you today.
Thank you
M. S.
We went to see John Bishop here. When he came on they did mention that it was the first gig held at the arena. The queues for drinks were quite big but they did well to get through and serve everyone quickly. We were had floor seating but and it wasn't the most conformable. We were abit squashed. They had stage at the side where all the doors were so there was always a bit of a distraction - not forgetting the venue staff having their radios going off. There was free parking however i got there a bit early so the parking was closed but one of the parking staff advised me to park somewhere else close by!
I don't think ill come back here for a comedy show but i reckon for any other event it would be decent.
S. M.
Good place to visit and watch basketball. Easy access and parking around the arena.
m. s.
Felt safe at this venue last night and staff were friendly!
L. N.
Venue is decent.
Went to a computer fair there which advertised better stock than they had.
Had to pay £5 entrance for the privilege of a 5 minute walk around a bunch of scrap.
Rating is for the venue, not the computer fair!
A. P. K.
Leicester's largest indoor events venue. British Basketball League team, Leicester Riders play here on weekends. Pretty decent facility and Riders' games are fun too.
D. N.
Great arena with plenty of seating all around the court tho some are just benches, food and drink is available throughout the game with happy staff to serve you. Prices for food and drink are a touch on the high side. Parking is limited
M. B.
Went to see John Bishop in concert. Excellent show. Car parking: well organised with stewards telling you where to go. Parking is free and the college car park is well lit and only a 2 minute walk. At the end of the show there was only a short queue if cars and then we were out on to the main road. The arena was well organised and the seats were comfortable with plenty of leg room. Bar service was terrible with not enough staff something they will have to look at. Also only one set of toilets so make sure you get in the queue early! Apart from those couple of niggles the whole evening was a very enjoyable experience.
K. B.
Quite a lovely place, the wedding fayre was well set out and the organisers were very good. The arena itself was very impressive, lots of facilities, clean and well kept and maintained
K. J.
Saw the physio. Great for basketball
V. R.
It's a great venue it's the first time I went there to watch the British open snooker tournament
S.
We saw John Bishop here. Apparently it was the first gig held at the arena. Four separate bars were in operation queues were lengthy but people coped. Tiered seats were comfortable but there was a chill in the air initially. Not sure if it got warmer as the auditorium filled up or I forgot as Bish was brilliant. Free parking was available on site. Would give it another go
T. H.
Nice, clean and tidy place.
Friendly staff, Food available reasonable prices.
Five pounds a pint though.
Still, would recommend this venue.
A. A.
Lovely facilities, easy parking
F.
Went to the rahat concert here atmosphere was electric and stadium was good!
K. W.
Easy to find, shame there is no parking
S. K.
Magnificent indoor stadium.
p. a.
I have been here a few times for my daughters dance competition so the venue is mainly staffed by their own people but it's always clean excellent arena
P. H.
Great sports venue, good staff, rubbish cafeteria. Poor choice of menu and food quality, slow service.
Car parking good but limited on weekend events.
Top place to play sports and gym looks good.
D. B.
Watched the quad nations wheelchair rugby!
D. G.
Great Basketball venue home of the Leicester Riders. Top team. The new kid on the block in Leicester's top 4 sports venues. Friday night with the Riders is a great night.
E. G.
Really nice and clean place to be. Staff are very friendly and approachable. The atmosphere is amazing on gameday and there is adequate parking. There is also disabled access.
J. H.
Great venue for the darts but extortionate prices for beer!
A. B.
Excellent arena ,home of Leicester riders basketball team
C. G.
Great arena. You're never far from the action.
A. C.
Basic facilities expensive refreshments and no parking at the venue so go early to find a parking space or car park.
D. P.
It's was a kids inflatable fun day. Sessions were timed which as a great idea. Some parking available and was a nice clean environment.
P. G.
Great sports complex. Small cafeteria serving the basic needs for the sporty ppl. Meeting cubicles & offices on to floors & ample parking space.
D. H.
Watched a Leicester Riders basketball game here... Good facilities (although I didn't get to see much of the place) and great atmosphere.
J. C.
Great sports venue lots of great events here food is well priced and there is a bar in the city centre so parking not a problem
M. L.
Great venue for a Cheer competition although I didn't realise it was possible to ruin a bacon cob, however the catering staff managed it with dried low quality bread, no butter, overcooked bacon and a miserable face taking £2.50 from me for the privilege.
J. I.
Good size arena with plenty of parking. Restaurant on site too. Facilities are very good. Home of a local basketball team.
P. R.
Went to see the darts final here & it was great
D. B.
People here from all walks of life cultures and backgrounds, enjoying their basketball.
Such a great community hub. Very proud to be from Leicester.
A. T.
Great venue. Went for the British Open snooker
S. R.
Great venue for concerts, shows and especially Sports the staff are friendly and the basketball is well worth a watch
L. P.
Easy to get to, had a fab night at the pdc darts.
M. R.
Feels like a high school gym as the interior feels cheap, but functional facility, it is one of the top facilities in the Country dedicated for basketball.
P. H.
Fantastic venue for basketball
P. B.
Great snooker venue hopefully more to come 👍
S. I.
View from row E. Good atmosphere, nice, clean venue, could do with more signage outside near the road and better value food
S. K.
Incredible basketball based facilities. Intelligent design, new, clean an d home to championship professional basketball Leicester Riders.
E. H.
Good venue, easy free parking across road, only downside was bar the temporary bar added for event massive ques only 1 beer pump !
R. W.
Great place, great crowd and great team. Don't be afraid to try basketball when you're fed up with the rugby.
D. B.
Brilliant place good staff prices are a bit steep but at a sports venue that's expected 4 quid a pint or short and 2 pound for everything else.
K. G.
Went here to watch the Leicester Riders (local basketball team). Great atmosphere and spacious seats.
S. L.
Basketball only - food is shocking, price of alcohol is dearer that London. Apart from that all volunteers and staff are excellent
T. B.
Nice modern and clean
J. P.
Great venue for Leicester, basketball match we went to see was decent
R. N.
Enjoyable night out excellent arena big improvement when they played at L/Boro and Leices uni The Riders are on the up
D. R.
Home of Leicester Riders, you can also just turn up and play yourself at any age or ability. Meeting and conference facilities are also available and they host other small and large events
U. J.
It has 4 courts and wery big . Such a nice place to play indoor games and a large stage for too many sitting.
V. M.
Nice venue but seating not the best as just chairs lined up. Best to arrive about an hour early as gets congested
A. T.
Only went to this place for a computer fair which wasn't that good however the arena looked quite nice inside parking if you get there late you have to park on a gravel which is sometimes flooded
J. C.
Great facility, friendly staff. Reasonably well equiped gym. Great coaching for all ages and skill levels.
M. S.
Excellent for an inter county tournament but a bit pricey to hire even when Leicestershire were participating
C. H.
First visit here did not realuse it was there. Took grandson with me who tried wheelchair basketball as he has mild cerebal palsy, he loved it.
R. C.
Venue good boxing venue with efficient service at the bar, although the choice of drinks was limited.

T. M. C. T.
Went to see Bill Bailey. It's an adequate venue with reasonable access to drinks and toilets.
