A great leisure centre without doubt. Fantastic courts, on a great floor with perfect blue walls. If you're a spectator you'll hate it. Very limited viewing capacity and 'no cafe at all' just a machine that owes me a refund.

Professional staff. Expect queues before public and lane swimming. Climbing wall is one of the tallest in the UK. Flexible membership model, casual entry also available as walk in service. Best to get the app before visiting.

Good gym, but need more machines open , its very cold in the gym and need to turn air-conditioning down at least in the free weight area,And half an hour for a sauna session is very long, if it was 15 minutes more members could book on. I'm glad we have such great, helpful and friendly staff like Habib and jenny there.

A nice place with modern facilities on offer. The gym was updated this year with a whole new sweet of technogym machines. The free weight area is a little small, but there are 4 power racks available. You'll only really struggle to get onto what you want during peak term times. Prices are great f you're a student at university or alumni/ staff

Gym is nice. I have got a gold membership and thought I can swim in the pool often. But the timetable is just horrible. They could just leave 1-2 lanes for public swim. Not everyone is available at certain time once a day. Some people have work or classes.

Great gym. Been going here for almost a year. The place is always clean and well kept after. Friendly staff also. The indoor pool has a specific schedule for lane swimming, public, family etc. This can be found online on the DMU website. It also has a sauna. The free weights section at the gym could be bigger since it's usually packed after 3-4PM on weekdays, usually at this time there are only 2 benches available. On weekends there aren't that many people so there is always space and equipment to exercise with. There is also a large mat with available weights and plenty of space at the entrance for various body exercises and stretches. The gym also has AC so it never gets hot indoors. They have a variety of resistance and pulley machines: Upper back Lower back Shoulder Chest Leg press Arms Etc.

Good gym, friendly staff and members. Equipment is fairly new, with a variety available for most workouts. Great for students due to low cost and access to pool and other facilities.

The 25m pool is excellent and a bronze membership is priced well for students. The changing facilities are well cleaned in the mornings but can get a bit hectic in the afternoon. All staff I've encountered are very friendly and helpful. I wish there were more lane swimming sessions in the morning and evening at weekends.

This a great sports centre, with a very good gym and pool - modern equipment, fantastic large free weights room. Helpful staff. Cleaned regularly with recycling bins throughout, clean showers and changing rooms. Significant drawback is absence of any parking - on street is difficult to get and limited for 1 hr, neighboring Tesco limited to 2 hrs camera-controlled.

I’ve been swimming here since it opened. Decent pool (the usual shallow 25m modern type, but six lanes wide, now probably the best in Leicester city) but can get a bit busy and the water can get rather choppy. On the other hand, I often get a lane to myself! Water temperature reasonable for distance swimmers like me and surely not too cold for anyone else. Friendly helpful staff. Swimtag available. Kept much cleaner than council facilities I used to use: there is almost always someone cleaning the changing area. Free secure cycle parking. Drinking water available. Very reasonable community membership price, considerably less than council prices. I feel lucky to be able to use what is essentially a university campus facility.

Facilities are absolutely amazing. Staff are handy as hell and useful. It's very clean. Machines all seem brand new. And I would say for the price even if I was not a student. It is very worth it. Love the place and spend alot of my time there.

Great for cardio as the equipment and classes are superb with the offer of a pool pass as part of your package! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for! If your going for free weights it is certainly not the best as it is cramped and basically just a narrow corridor.

The free weights area is cramped and the majority of the space in the gym is taken up by treadmills and the like (there is plenty of floor outside people!), but thats more of a general issue with modern gyms. Two squat racks, TRX, reasonably priced. Friendly staff and a half decent gym culture. Does the job for me even though it is a bit of a step down from Warehouse on parker drive.

Last time I wrote a review, most of the equipment was old, some of it broken. Since then I have been made aware that most of it has been replaced. I am increasing the star-rating to four, as at a cost of £26 per month (as a special rate customer) this does provide some value for money. I am no longer using this establishment though, so cannot comment on its state as of October 2018, which is one-year after the last time I used it.
