My friend booked a badmiton court and went in for the first time. Court was spacious and good. Enjoyed playing there. I did see that it has good swimming pool but have not been to the pool so couldnt comment on it.

Huge facility on a busy street with free parking, I liked the funky fish statue outside and it seems to have some great sports facilities but I was there to attend a children's dancing show so didn't have the opportunity to explore the building.

Never been inside th complex but the bmx track at The back Is amazing there's also a velodrome on the outside of it. Dirt track with lots of jumps and concrete turnarounds

Modern well equipped sports centre, that caters for almost every sport from cycling to scuba diving. Lots of friendly exercise classes for people of all sizes, from general gym workouts, Tai Chi, to "circuit training" - lots of us old wrinklies doing a variety of workout tasks in a room ranging from pushing and pulling large elastic bands in different ways, lunges, step-ups, lifting small weights, punching the air with weights, push ups against a wall bar while you're standing up, or simply walking to and fro'. One of the trainers is a human dynamo called Julie, and she's an absolute star - no one likes to exercise when they're sore and infirm or suffering from other medical issues, but she makes it fun and gives the classes a supportive atmosphere, while we moan and groan around the room and make disparaging comments about her in jest. Highly recommended :-)

This is one of the most welcoming places in Huyton! Friendly atmosphere complimented by comprehensive sports facilities. The classes are well run and instructors are incredibly motivational whilst being mindful of individuals capabilities. The pool changing area could be better organised by zoning female and male sections for those who prefer a little more privacy... but the pool area is clean and allows diving at the deep end 😁

Some good features, such as the two large swimming pools and a well equipped gym however it can be very busy, especially after work/school or during the half term. The gym is equipped with Olympic standard weights and a sleigh, but you may have to wait to use one of the treadmills or other cardio machines due to the lack of them. The biggest issue though is the central area, which can often be found with numerous out of control children that run ramped. Fortunately to solve this issue, Volair decided to introduce a 10m by 10m chicken pen (which they claim is a 'Children's Play Area") now meaning the all of the seats have been pushed into the corner-not the greatest solution.

I was looking for a leisure centre to use and came up on Knowsley leisure centre. This is a fantastic place with a well organised time table of fitness classes, gym and swimming pools. The pools , showers and changing facilities are spotlessly clean.,with an on site café for refreshments and ample parking through put the day. It can be busy at peak times. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Visited for a covid test and the staff were just perfect. Have used the facilities in the past and have always found them to be clean and well above average. There is a good selection of health and wellbeing classes offered and a good selection of gym equipment available.

Good facilities and friendly staff. Would recommend. Two great pools, one 20m and one 25m. The early adult only swimming sessions on weekday mornings are great. The gym too is well equipped with both machine and free weights. Good value annual membership deals too.

The pool is really well kept and the changing rooms are spotless. I think they are dealing with covid restrictions really well apart from it sometimes being difficult getting a slot for swimming. I understand that once restrictions are lifted this may improve.

Was a fantastic facility which sadly is falling into decay with most of the equipment requiring repair/replacement. No interaction with management and awful innappropriate (to the location) radio channel constantly playing over the pa. Was once an iconic facility, shameful how it has been allowed to fall into disrepair and neglect.

Super facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Only Downside is the main pool is pretty chilly. You'll need your own padlocks for the swim lockers and if it is your first visit you will need to register. Great place to take kids, with nice junior pool and free soft play in the main foyer.

The gym staff are amazing they help you no matter the problem if it’s broken equipment, need help with keeping fit or if it’s lost and found. On other hands though, the other staff on the centre are terrible, the receptionists are demanding and decide to chat along while your waiting at the front desk. During the current times as well the centre are keeping to Government guidelines, all the Gym equipment are located in different rooms of the building which makes it less likely to be crowded, you also have to book a time slot to be able to actually enter the premises of the building to keep social distancing in mind and to also have your details for track and trace. I recommend going here if you live within the Huyton, Prescot or surrounding areas.

Went to the spa, had an amazing time and the facilities and staff were fantastic. Started in the spa are then had a lovely back massage and facial finished off with a relax in a lovely peaceful room with free light drinks. Highly recommend treat and good prices!

Use the swimming facilities with my kids. We always have a good time. There is always 2 Life guards watching out for us and the water has always been clean in my experience. Family changing areas are very useful with kids and the family sized lockers as well. Make sure to bring your own pad lock and you are set.

The small pool is nice for younger kids, it’s 90cm deep and 30-31 degrees, it’s quite warm. I think the timetable for this pool needs to be extended. During the week you have acces for 2 sessions that last 60 min each and with an hour break between them. And they are only available midday, nothing in the morning or evening if you want to take your baby for a relaxing swim before bedtime.

Great place, i went for the climbing wall game which was great. The staff were absolutely wonderful & really patient with us Londoners who struggled to find the place. The games were so much fun & very much like a workout for me & my friends - all adults. By far one of the best things i did when in Liverpool!

I have been going to Knowsley Swimming pool now for a couple of months (please note I do not use any other facilities), and really enjoy it. The staff are really helpful and pool is lovely to swim in. I really don't understand why they have a padlock locker system, but I have to say that by visiting there website I was well warned of this process. I have always managed to get a pound locker when I have gone, so all is good. Really lovely place.

I have been sniffing and have had an itchy throat for two days which is usual for the depths of winter but with all the concerns re: the pandemic and lockdown I decided to be a grown-up and go for a test to rule out COVID. It took ten minutes from arriving to getting back into the car (not the most pleasant experience but hardly uncomfortable although one guy with a poor gag reflex made a noise like a startled goose!) Half an hour later I received a text telling me I'm negative. Professionally run and lovely staff. And I have a cold.

Wow! Took my nephew's on the BMX park and for a swim yesterday. The facilities are great! Super cheap! £8 for an hour to hire bike, helmet and use the park for 2 children! Can't complain. Staff on the desk were super helpful and got us registered and staff on bike park gave the kids some helpful tips and invited us to a few tournament that'll be happening in march. Will definitely be back. Wish we lived closer!

Lovely little place, just wish customers without babies wouldn't use the baby changing rooms. I had to struggle getting my baby dressed in a normal changing room while I'm heavily pregnant because 1 family took up 2 baby changing rooms with 7/8 year old kids...

Staff aren't very help you and the little pool is nearly always cold or closed. Not fun for the little ones who end up in the way of serious swimmer. All other facilities good but changing rooms/toilets smell.

Haven't tried the swimming pool yet but the gym is great. You even get a session with a pt every few weeks to check your progress. Best of all is not too busy unlike others like puregym.

Having seen the hygiene/Covid-19 cleaning routine, it is /was one place that I felt save to visit. All staff have worked hard to make all parts of the leisure centre safe for customers and staff alike.

Pool is fine but don't expect a locker, there's only one row of lockers s available for hire. The rest are under some sort of padlock system that the staff don't have keys or locks for.... After two trips to reception somebody left the pool and gave up a locker...

Great gym. We went for a look around, and we were told where everything was. We then booked in for an induction, which was the following day. Before we started the induction, we had to fill in a form about our health status. Be classed as disabled. We use the lift to take us to the first floor. We were shown around the fitness suite. Each of the pieces of equipment were demonstrated to us so we would be able to use them straight away. There are also instructions on the equipment. We were reassured that there were always instructors to ask if we were unsure. On the tour, we also showed where the pools were. There are two pools, one teaching pool and a full-size one. The full-size one has a long ramp, which is great for disabled people to gain access to the pool. This means a person in a wheel chair, could be pushed down the ramp in a special wheelchair. This is a great bonus!!. There is a squash court, a spin room, and a large indoor gym that can be used for many activities. There are smaller rooms available for other activities. In the main entrance area, there are sofas to unwind on, a mini jungle gym for the youngster's, it is not supervised by gym staff. The whole gym is welcoming, as are the staff. There are many supervised classes that are included in memberships. There are a variety of memberships to suitable for everyone. Finally, after your work out and you're a bit peckish, there's a cafe area with hot and cold snack and a range of drinks and sweets. If you decide to join, you may need to show proof of address. Or, if you claim certain benefits, you may need to show proof. Go on, give it a go, and you'll enjoy yourself.
