Reviews of BAYSIXTY6 Skate Park
K. B.
Bay 66
Missing stars because the staff don’t give you the time of day, they are quite rude. Maybe I just had a negative experience, it was probably just a one off.
I skateboarded here once and never been here again.
It is full of posh teenagers or toddlers most of the time.
Brooklyn Beckham has been seen here. Definitely a spot for teenagers to try really hard to seem cool and edgy. I would avoid.
Scruffy jeans, gold chains, and AirPods are the current style here.
I would say this place is only good for toddlers/young children because there are exclusive sessions, so they will not be knocked off. Also lots of other parents standing around watching their children or helping them maintain balance. It’s a good place to start out because there are some easy ramps.
There is a toilet, a café and a reception. You can buy skateboard paraphernalia here too; grips, stickers, wheels etc.
If you are a keen skateboarder thinking of checking this place out, you’ll probably prefer Meanwhile gardens or South Bank. But this place is most suitable for beginners.
r.
the park is very well built, has a lot of variety and 2 really good bowls. I also liked the fact that they have a skate shop. amazing skate park for intermediate+ skaters.
the reason i'm giving it 4 stars is because it is usually very crowded. It's mostly made up of rails, stairs, ramps and quarter pipes so it's going to be hard for beginners.
N. F.
Great place For kids on the week end morning sessions. Great instructors in general especially Guy Burchard who does the begginer group lessons and also been taking my daughter for individual lessons! He's great with her put still pushes her to improve each week, plus backs me up to make her wear all her pads 👊. Tilly loving it and plenty of room for Dad to skate the bowl!
M. F.
Amazing park for beginners and intermediate and pro. Great staff and good people. If you wanted to leave your kids while you go elsewhere you can have full trust in they’re safety
J. C.
Great for any rolling sports, something for everybody. Well built transition, and good street style obstacles. Will be visiting again with the homies
P. B.
The best option to skate in London on a rainy day, which sadly happens frequently... Park is mostly for skateboarding with lots of curbs, but you can have fun with your skates as well. Great bowl and mini.
U. B.
It's OK: decently maintained, nice bowl n that, but the staff are always so dour and sulky (maybe it's how they express their coolness?), it's hard to feel any kind of investment in, connection or loyalty to the place. So it's where we go when conditions dictate rather than a destination we crave.
R. B.
Been to this park twice and its super fun! Ive been to a beginners session on Sunday from 10-12pm (helmets required) and on Thursday evening with the roller boot gang gang GANG. Pay about 5-7 quid to enter. The wooden ramps and bowls are super forgiving. Would definitely recommend this park - though it is a bit out of the way if you're not based West.
M. S.
Very nice place, friendly staff and visitors alike, BUT if you're an absolute beginner then it's probably best to book a 1:1 session instead of joining a group (it was a bit busy)
S. H.
Always busy, but probably the best „indoor“ skatepark in London.
M. A.
My kids improved in this place.
Great skateboarding for Street and Wooden ramps. The cooping in the Bowl is way to slippery though and inliners and kick bikes allowed, but still rating 5 stars because of the nice miniramps.
S. J.
Great skatepark and well worth the money. IMO not suitable for total beginners UNLESS you get a lesson. If you are a street skater or can drop in on anything more than a mini ramp then this park is fantastic.
This park is fast and slippery especially the bowl. This is not a problem as you will adjust quickly and come out with a better stance and balance on your board.
The only negative here is the staff. They are great with older people but they seem very blunt with the younger peeps. might be a reason for this to set a respect tone but either way, don't let that deter you from going here.
D.
In london it's always raining, so this is your perfect spot for have all you need to get the right session, only if you have 6£ for the ticket. But you can always check for events like the olds man night thats it's every last Friday of the month and pay 8£ and skate from 17 to 22hrs and have a Burger and some drinks with the locals. There's also girls night so if you wanna skate quite with other Gal's this is your place.
L. D.
Great park still, not been since it was PlayStation. My wheels didn’t get on with the Mini ramp and bowl so would advise softer wheels.
K. J.
An amazing place to visit with your children. Also the prices are fine.
S. W. D.
I couldn’t recommend more about this skate park and the instructor Felix! It is amazing how much I am progressing in skateboard as an adult beginner with his help.
J. W.
Review from a blader - amazing skate park! So much fun. Usually bump into bladers every time I go and there is also a Thursday bladers / quads night which I still need to go to. Been about 4 times in total now and intend on going more times! Everyone is very friendly.
C. S.
Decent skate park for a good price of £5 for 2 hours. Only annoying thing is If you don't have a helmet then you will have to rent one for another £5.
S. R.
Great Park, everything you need, bowl, mini, street section, suitable for all levels except absolute beginner I would say, staff always friendly 👍👍👍
J. K.
Not sure if this would be very begginer friendly but otherwise one of the best places for skateboard period. Especially on the rainy day this is the place to be which makes it 5 star without hesitation.
N. S.
Really great place. Staff are all super helpful. Lots of teachers for kids. Thursday night is rollerblade night. Rainproof activity too
J. L.
The guys and girls who work here are super helpful, friendly and all keen on the sports that this amazing park is built for.. some smaller ramps to learn on..but a good selection of ramps and obstacles. Very recommended.
F. A.
Had an amazing aggressive inline lesson with Blake Bird at BaySixty6 today. He is such a good teacher. Can’t believe how much I learned in an hour. Well worth the money. I will be making it a weekly thing.
K. L.
I loved it even doe I didn’t come for almost a year but now I can write so I really liked it I loved the bowl, the mini ramps/all ramps, the obstacle and the staff members/instructors but I haven’t used the skate shop yet but I probably will because my board is so bad right now.
S.
Lovely big park! First time I’ve been to west London in a long time. Took us a while to find it but was worth it. The biggest park I’ve been to and really great as it was girls night. They don’t actually have a female toilet which is funny. Put yeah enjoyed this one.
K. C.
Brilliant skatepark, staff are really helpful and love for sport is evident. Blake is fantastic rollerblade teacher. Son has learnt so much from him.
D. A.
Great skate park - lovely wooden ramps and an awsome bowl.
Sadly no vert ramp but that's about all that's lacking
R. D.
Great place to skate. Good people, good surfaces, varied areas, doesnt get too crowded. Burger and beer on the last Friday of the month
E. B.
Always has been a world-class park. Good skate shop attached.
Prices to skate have risen exponentially of late, and it's always packed. Can't complain though as it's the only park of its kind, anywhere near London.
J. C. M. N.
Love all the events going on every week and also the small skate shop next to the skate park. Sometimes they've got some really good deals 👍🏻I go to their Girls Skate night nearly every month, and I enjoy it so so much. The park is a lot bigger than House of Vans and personally I like it more at Bay.
J. T.
Awww bloody mad the flat bank hips pretty much the same as the one 22 years ago I did my same little trick over it and looked down at my feet and wooosh! Time Travelers blimey I shed a tear
A. N.
Awesome staff, awesome place, they have done so much for the community and the park is always improving, always well maintained. Best skatepark in London
A. R.
The skatepark was absolutely brilliant, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was great. It was very quiet but I assume that's because of covid.
S. B.
Travelling from Australia and chances upon skate camp extended after Christmas. Great staff, very honest, teacher Greg kept on with patience and humour. Good area for non-skating families, especially market stall browsers. Great community resource!
R. C.
My son had a great time and lesson here with Connor Charlesson. Really nice guy. Took the time to patiently work with my son. It was his activity we put aside for him during our wonderful trip to London. The skatepark is Nike certified and the location could not bre more perfect- underneath a highway overpass. We were treated to a surprise when we walked down the street- it was a food fair!! I believe they do this every Fri-Sun. Perfect day- perfect atmosphere!
D. G.
Good value. Not crowded. Friendly people.
Five minutes from a station.
S. M.
Did skateboard camp with my two boys (7 and 10) who had no experience on a board. My exeroience was one Summer in 1976.... Signed them up, and me!, for a week. Hector took us for the first four days. He is brilliant with kids - and adults. Everything is done in a low pressure fun way. I couldn’t believe how quickly the boys advanced and for that matter me. It’s a really fun respectful environment. The boys and me had some tumbles (helmet and pads essential!!) and some bruises. You could not measure the smiles when the boys cracked a technique. All the kids were brilliant. Day five, Gary took us. Another brilliant day. We were all thoroughly exhausted at the end of each day. And couldn’t wait to start the next day. Saturday morning (the day that I am posting this) my 7 year old asked if we could do another week of camp!!! We are definitely booking in for another week!!!! Can’t wait.
R. M.
Nice size with some good ramps
h. h.
i love skating here! thanks a lot to gaby for always being friendly and making it easy for us to skate. cant wait for bay to open back up!
D. K.
More of a plazza than a park.
The bowl wobbles and overall the park is slippy as ice
G. B.
Fun park, a lot of different stuff to skate
S. M. T.
The skatepark is huge and and it has lots different areas for you to practice on, nice selection of ramps and half pipes. Staff is friendly, they have a lounge and a store.
G. P.
Great and well maintained skatepark that does lessons for kids and beginners. Mostly boarded floors and ramps, no concrete, so the kids can take a fall with less risk of injury.
L. Z.
As a rollerblader this WAS such an amazing skate park in london before NIKE took over destroying a perfect park and built a new flatter park mainly for skateboarders.
The bowl and the mini half pipe is still good for rollerblader now although I do miss having a large half pipe, vert ramp plus the mini spine.
I am glad I had a lot of practise here years ago when I first started skating.
I might take my little boy to the skateboard camp/lessons here in a couple of years when he is older as the guy who runs this is very good. Shame they don't do proper rollerblade classes here as well.
H. L.
This skatepark is dope! It's got like everything: Ramp, halfpipe, bowl, stairs, gaps, ledge, box, rails and more that I can't name haha. We do have to pay though but it's totally worth it. This place is so good that I was able to learn how to 50-50, rock to fakie and tail stall in the half pipe! I was so proud. This place really is worth it and the people who own it are cool!
J. H.
Best skate part in London
B. B.
Great skatepark, friendly atmosphere. Quads skaters and Inlines on a Thursday evening 6 till 10. @QUADSTAKEOVERLDN on insta for quad skate events!
D. W.
Super well maintained. Friendly staff. Overall a great place for kids and adults in the area. A real gem
H. L.
Great skateboarding for Street and Wooden ramps. The cooping in the Bowl is way to slippery though and inliners and kick bikes allowed, but still rating 5 stars because of the nice miniramps.
j. r.
Great fun. Staff super helpful..my daughter another lesson and was very happy. Well.done Baysixty6
A. M.
I'm a newbie but had a really good time at B66, there's several areas to practice basic transition, a miniramp and a slappy kerb. Also a lot of sick blocks, rails and ramps for the big boys. Everyone around was quite friendly. For better or worse though, it's a sterile atmosphere compared to most free skateparks - more Street League than street.
P.
My son loved it he had beginners lesson today and the instructor and staff in general were great really helpful and friendly
T. C.
Unbelievable covered skatepark that occupies a space under the highway. Operated by Nike, has tons of ramps, toilets etc. Beginner hours on Saturday and Sunday. So much fun.
M. P.
Lots of space and variety of stuff to use. Friendly locals on my visit
T. B.
Excellent park. Gotta a great bowl. Super nice minipipe. Awesome street section.
F. M.
Great park, only complaint is that the hired boards are not great, no name brand trucks, decks etc. Would recommend bringing your own board
J. F.
Love this place!
Staff are spot on, friendly atmosphere and just a great place to hang out!
R. M.
Awesome park, Great staff and facilities. Wish I could get here more often. Big thanks to Ralph for allowing me to charge my camera in the office on my visit too.
J. “. M.
Just a good place to skate no annoying people not skating its a 10 from me
S.
First time to the park and really enjoyed it^ plenty of space and covered entirely.
Good for all year round,
j. B.
Nice skate park. Sat Sun am only for children which is good as otherwise can be crowded and dangerous.
A. S.
Excellent place to skate because of how maintained it is but if you want to borrow pads charge you £3. Even if you paid £30 for a lesson.
D. B.
It's really fun and friendly place to be and safe in side very nice skate shop where I bought a skate DVD going bananas first proper skate park I ever ride in I miss the burger van
B. V.
Kind of a linear skatepark, gets too crowded and hectic at times but is fun to ride in! BMX ONLY sessions consist not ONLY of BMX but skateboarders as well!
Y. E.
Great staff that love skating and riding. Also a great safety program along with special opening hours for bmx sessions.
W. M.
Nice skatepark, sorry temporarily closed. The only negative is associated with incomprehensible companies that sometimes gather here.
N. H.
Amazing place, under cover so doesn't matter if it rains but you don't sweat as bad as in an indoor place, only downside is the ridiculous wax on the bowl coping.
M. T.
Probably best skate park I have ever been too, make sure you go on a day that is not a weekend or school holidays though because it gets very very packed
S. J.
This is a good place to skate. 4 stars because it's so expensive with no membership or hourly options.
J. M.
Great place, love the mini ramp and beautiful bowl, all wooden and safer to skate. Can get busy on sponsored night!
D. B.
One of London’s greatest skateparks. It has a lot of fantastic ramps, although it does cost entry.
b. O.
A really good park. Good for beginers and advanced. Skatecamp is good and really worth it. Learned alot of tricks in one week.
K. R.
The ramps are always there and the bowl is amazing plus the ledges and rails😼😼😲 go there all the time. Recommended
F. 1.
Was very packed but I really like the ramps and the skate shops was good. And very cheap only £5
n. l.
Good skateboard lesson - had fun, learned lots - really good space.
N. T.
Great not really busy and it's mostly made out of wood so if you fall it won't hurt
t. m.
its a very good place to skate and have fun!😀 And the best skate park in hole of england.😄😄😄🙉
J. T.
Very nice skateboard keep in mind it costs £8 but people are nice and helpful to beginners
N. G.
Friendly staff, very large choice. Unfortunately, sales prices are not amazingly cheaper than normal prices, but if the service is good that's OK.
B. &. M.
Just AMAZING! I’ve been coming here since day one. I really miss the old mini though. :(
T. M.
Great skate park. Old mana note every last Friday of the month. £7 including bbq and a beer
O. A.
Good skatepark but way too expensive 12£ for a whole day.
s. e.
really cool skatepark, can hire all you need, great girls skate night!
J. W.
Skatepark is absolutely amazing but the session times are wierd and some of the staff are rude and unwelcoming
M. I. H.
One of the best hidden place. Next to historic portebelo market. No parking but may be on street parking after certain time.
M. A.
Great place to skate no matter if your a beginner or pro.
W. S. G.
