Have been taking my daughter here for a number of years for private and group lessons. The staff and the teachers, in particular, are wonderful and I have nothing but praise for them. However the facilities definitely need to be looked at and monitored. The changing rooms, toilets and shower area seem to be always dirty and the place does smell rather badly. I would never dare to use the toilets due to the foul smell emanating from them and they look filthy. Also there are lots of cubicles with locks not working. I understand that there is an extra volume of people due to Highbury Pool's temporary closure but then more staff should be in place to keep the place pleasant. Sometimes I feel that I should be wiping my shoes off as I leave the Centre. I have gotten used to the shared mixed changing areas and I understand that this helps with parents who may have a child of the opposite sex. It's a real shame about some of the problems as they really have great teachers and if it was just based on the teachers and staff it would be 5 stars.

I have been using Cally pool for a few years. I have no complaints to make. All I can say the staff are very helpful and kind. A massive shout out to the beautiful Sherena. Her kindness, helpfulness, her massive smile, makes it all worthwhile when I get to the pool at 7am. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Don't change beautiful lady, you are just awesome.

Went to callypool today at 3 and was greeted by a lovely lady who looked after us. Even though she was short staffed today she done an amazing job and made us feel very welcome. Because of her great customer service I have to give 5 stars today.

Many Showers out of order and it really could be cleaner, but a hugely important local resource, which we all appreciate. The move (years ago) towards shared Showers (male/female) and shared changing rooms with cubicles is hard to understand, impossible to agree with.

Pluses: Really friendly staff, teachers seem very engaged, good programme teaching seemingly hundreds of kids, great sized pool, long women’s only session on a Friday evening, not expensive and a community feel Minuses: Main pool can get very cold as can the showers. The changing rooms are increasingly disgusting. The floor, showers and cubicles are often covered in wet grime, hair and dirt up the sides. Makes you a little queasy and can’t be too hygienic

The staff is really nice, but the key holders in the change room are all broken. They gym is really small and don’t have a capacity for many people. The pool is big and nice.

I visited at 3pm. The changing rooms and toilets were clean and the pool was quiet and clean. I can the changing area has the potential to get very dirty during busy periods like swimming lessons so try and come off peak. The health suite is also very small but works fine. The gym is absolutely tiny, and can accommodate no more than 6-8 people at a time. If you can go swimming at off peak times then this centre is perfect.

It's ok this place but pool is small, the gym is tiny, it is unisex changing rooms ideal for people with small kids. Down side is the changing room is small so sometimes you can be waiting 15 minutes for a cubicle which is not good when you get out from the pool and start getting cold.

Shower area is mixed. have 4 cubicles 2 disabled ones. all showers have problems, water not adjustable comes cold. typical ones don't flow no because of the disabled one if that is on disabled one by itself near the locker room toilet flush is a problem has been like that for over a year both disabled toilets have have adjustable hand shower which are damaged they get temporary ones which break. showers have flies especially the separate disabled toilet one. Swimming pools are ok kids pool area has only one side for sitting across the width so if your kids are doing lesson on the opposite side You can't see them unless you are in the reception area looking through the glass in a 45-degree angle. People are good generally. The lessons for kids is a policy problem with better gym. Note: My kids have used cally Highbury Holloway kings x over the years. Cally used from winter 17 to Jan 19. as parents can put kids in a higher level that they are not. and the rest of the kids suffer time and group wise as the kids wait for them. also instructor can't put them in the correct level nor suggest to the kid. as an instructor mentioned the policy reason is not to make kids lose confidence ect. So the parents lose out money kids find it frustrating There is a disparity in instructor teaching abilities, paying attention to each kids individually and correcting, showing them. The best teachers are the one who will show and correct in the pool. If they have good communication skills and come down to kid level.

Nice pool infrastructure, the locker rooms probably need a bit of refurbishment. There is only one baby changing room where there are classes with 6 babies at the time. They also closed the pool over Christmas for 2 weeks without any warning. The staff at the desk doesn’t seem to have much of a clue what’s going on.

Its ok. Gym is quite small , but it has everything you need and the equipment is clean and well maintained . Swimming pool is shallow on both ends and deep (1.80 meters) in the middle which I find odd. The opening times don't work for me, otherwise it's a good value.

Kinda small but functional. Its busy. Snack machine in small foyer. Kids swimming classes & other activities in kids small pool. U can watch ur kids at all times in pool through a glass window wall if u dont want to join in. Separate large adults pool, never seen it without 'lanes'. Compact gym looks out onto pool. Misted windows for privacy on entrance side, good if u dont like being oggled by strangers entering or passing the premises. Changin rooms have lockers, mirrors, hairdryer etc, BUT are realllly freeeeeezing !!! & feels manic when kids runnin round in there to keep warm !! No parking facilities, but Limited Pay & display parking around. Bus stop 30 secs away. Shops & food places all along the same road.

Been coming here since 1997. One of the cheapest swimming pools in London. It's nice in here, not totally modern but still has everything you need. Changing rooms have always been relatively clean, just slightly outdated.

Cally pool was a great place for our family to visit. The pool is clean, the changing rooms are very family friendly, and the staff was so nice. Also, the pool was warm, perfect temperature for little kids to play in without worry of shivers or shakes. Great place to have a soak and play.

Small gym, pool is ok but it could do with a bit of cleaning. It is also shallow (90cm each endand140cm max depth). Not too crowded although there are usually just two lanes for the general public also pool is open to the public till 8pm.

The gym is pretty small but I've been going at different hours and never had a problem of not being able to use an equipment because there's too many people at the same time. I'm also taking a swimming lesson weekly and it's great because the lesson depends on your own progress.

This place used to be quite grimmy. But since this new private company took over so much has improved. Considering its clientele that places upkeep is good. The changing room floor seems never to be spotless some minor maintenance issues exsist around the place (changing room door locks, shower area and poolside scale). This is a supurb offering to the local community and one of the better public pools I've visited throughout our city.

Swimming lesson are good the only problem with this centre is that the toilets are very dirty. There are a lot of children visiting this place and to be honest how could they sit on those toilets!!! There is a health and safety issue there that needs to be resolved.

The staff are always nice here! Always helpful too! ..... And that's quite rare to find these days at a public pool sadly! The pool is perfect for me as I am taking Intermediate lessons at Gurnell Leisure Centre (in Perivale) and there aren't many 25m all shallow pools around like there is there. It's perfect for improvingy strokes, stamina and technique without worrying about running out of breath in the deep end. I think the pool is 0.9m at one end, dipping to 1.5m at the deepest and then back up to 0.9m so perfect for beginners and improvers without the deep. (E.g. Ironmonger Row Baths has a 3.6m deep end!!!)

The gym is very small. The toilets are far way (the swimming pool toilets) and you have to be a member - otherwise you have to pay £12 per entrance. The fact that there is no more flexibility with such a small gym makes no sense to me.
