Reviews of Marlborough Sports Garden

Great space, I play walking football there on a Tuesday. The staff who run it, are very pleasant & friendly. Lots of space for different activities.

Great having some art added to the grounds but this area could have been improved by adding toilet facilities, baby changing (like over at Red Cross Gardens in SE1) was hoping this was factored into the refurbishment but was disappointed, it limits the time you can spend with a child who can’t hold their bowels for hours on end.
Love the exhibition that Bankside and Open Spaces trust are introducing but how about a little green AstroTurf so we can sit and appreciate the installations with the children? If your sectioning of and taking away from their playground at least make it a spot they can stop be comfortable and take it all in - Just a thought!
Loving the Sand pit and climbing wall, football court and basketball all great fun for aiding sporting activity which is the main purpose for this space, so if it’s for children, adults and families soften the concrete jungle a little.
On hot summer days a few extra water drinking fountains would be great too (just like over in Little Dorrit Park)
Keep this space for the children and local schools it’s highly required as a great spot to engage, socialize and be active.

Plenty of opportunities here for a variety of sports. Perfect for office football during lunch or after work.

Beautiful setting just by the shard! Bookable sand courts, basketball courts and 5-a-side pitch. Great pavement for skating and rollerskating!
B. J.
Great spot for 5 aside football, beach volleyball and other sports.

Really good park tucked away in central London. Perfect for playing basketball or table tennis at lunch with colleagues or friends. Does get busy though so you can't always use the facilities.
Perfect for some fresh air in the summer. They even have a volleyball court, tennis wall, patt-ball wall and an AstroTurf 5 a side field.

The marlborough sports garden is a great place for children, the children take part in volleyball and roller bladding and have a fantastic time, the staff are really friendly and welcoming.

Excellent community facilities in Southwark borough for sports and recreation. You can play beach volleyball, football and handball or just lark around with your friends and colleagues from work. Very close to Borough market and London Bridge station. This is an initiative inspired by the late Labour MP Jo Cox and part of the Great Get Together spaces.

always take kiddies here ... perfect for kids especially on a hot summers day.
the big sand pit is perfect for kids to have a play around ... also the football pitch.

I will rate this place with 3 stars as someone mention it may need a bit of control and is not reception but is a great place as it have a sand pitch and some where you can wash the sand of your feets is lovely place sad don't have a parking area and its hard to keep looking as most of there are permit holders

The problem is there is no adminstration and no one to check the in & out time .. so the teams who play before doesn't leave on their out time which is disappointing.. mostly these kids who s**k no discipline whatsoever
