It took me 14 years and three lockdowns to join the club and now I live for my Saturdays!
I used to see the club enjoying breakfast at the local café after the games but I had never played with plastics so didn’t think of contacting them. Now I realise that playing with plastics is less important when you have great games and meet friendly people. The group is very social and welcoming and it’s nice to know more local people.
Three hours on five courts at Seymour Leisure centre. Best deal in London!!! 😍🏸☕️

Great and well organised club👍 Players from sooo many countries + a varied level of play. You will have different and challenging games. With 5 courts it's a busy 3 hours but lots of fun. The social breakfast afterwards is where we are educated by Howard over our sausage, egg & beans 😀
If you're between low intermediate and local Div 1 level you will find players there able to give you a game.
They play with plastic shuttles.
Amazingly it’s also the least expensive membership club in London maybe even in the U.K. 👍👍

Fantastic badminton club! I moved to London 4 years ago and didn’t know anyone - I am so glad I joined this club because everyone made me feel so welcome and it quickly became the highlight of my week. It’s expertly ran and there is a good fast turnover of games with a good standard of play. I highly recommend this club both for the badminton and the social sides.

I started attending this club over 15 years ago and it remains a highlight of my week. The badminton standard is consistently good but most importantly the members are great. Would highly recommend it if you're looking for a club that offers great games in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Inclusive, well-organised and sociable, Marylebone Badminton Club is a smash hit. Here’s why:
1. You don’t have to be a pro. The club has players at different skill levels, but all of them give you a good game.
2. It’s great value for money. (Probably the most reasonable sports membership fee in London.)
3. There are 5 courts, so you’ll get a chance to play a lot of games within the 2-hour time slot.
4. Each session is followed by a social breakfast. (The conversation is as satisfying as the food.)
For all you feather-loving folks, MBC uses plastic shuttles. But if you love playing badminton and are looking for a great way to start your weekends, this is it.

A truly awesome badminton club! Having moved to London in the beginning of the year I did an extensive search for where I could get some court action.
Out of all the clubs I enquired at Sam at Marylebone was friendly and quick to reply. Games are on a Saturday morning, there are 5 courts and we play with plastics. When told the membership fee I almost fell over! This is definitely the best value for money in London!
Every player can hold their own on a court and you're guaranteed to have a great game. The level of sportsmanship is unlike any other club I've seen. Games are all friendly and taken seriously, if you're a beginner or you're looking for an aggressively competitive club this is not the club for you.
The social aspect of the club is amazing; I look forward to seeing everyone every week, and going for breakfast after playing is definitely a winner.

Well run social badminton club with varied intermediate players from all round the country and the world. Everyone gets the chance to pick their games (plastics) on 5 courts and there is social tea/coffee and breakfast afterwards. Inexpensive, friendly, challenging and fun.

I really recommend this club. There is a very friendly atmosphere and you can always get a challenging game. There’s a mix of people, with new members joining throughout the year and others who have been with the club for 10 years or more. There are 5 courts, so you are usually not off court long in between games. I joined in January 2015 and it has been great getting to know everyone and playing regularly - bring on 2016!

Having stumbled upon this club many years ago now, I still religiously attend it. People from all walks of life and all over the world have been a part of it. I am proud to say some of my closest friends have been found at this club. So that's the social aspect. The actual playing standard is variable but there are players way above average and some club players who come here for the social reasons too. Club entry is dependent upon a vote after the initial session so this allows standards to be limited to a certain threshold. Some member find the punctuality aspect challenging (9am saturday) but I am usually early, to get more of my endorphin rush. It offers me the run around that I am looking for with the chance to be competitive in some of the games fuelled by friendly rivalry. All in all, good exercise and a social kickstart to my weekends. So I am hooked.

I started playing at MBC in 2010 when I move into the area. It was easy & convenient - I literately rolled out of bed at 8.50 and got to the courts at 9am. Since then, I have changed career and moved to east London. Yet I continue to travel in for the weekly club sessions ~ this speaks volumes of the club - great games & people!

If you don’t try it, you’re crazy. Very social, consistent b+ standard games, well structured and organized. I play at a number of other locations across London and this is by far my favorite. It’s also a steal.
