Reviews of Putney Leisure Centre
s. a.I started going to Putney Leisure Centre in 2021 to join the gym and got Mattei to be my Personal Trainer (PT). I cannot praise Matt and the team at the leisure centre highly enough; they are excellent!
I hadn't been to a gym in nearly 20 years, and as a disabled person who uses a wheelchair user, I was concerned about injuring myself and not making progress. Matt specifically researched how to safely exercise and protect me from injury, but also make strong progress. We did a variety of exercises and I became much stronger and became much more comfortable with going to the gym and having a strong form on the machines. Matt is a great PT, supportive, challenging and holds a conversation well!
I completely recommend Matt as a PT and the wider team and facility at the centre. They are 10/10.
B. L.It's grand. Good facilities in general but hard to find your way around. Staff on front desk nice. Staff manning the pools a bit cranky but that's to be expected when policing other people's unruly kids all day. Clean enough. Cool high diving facilities. Parking.
c. w.The baby pool was only open for an hour today so check the times before going. Once there it was great fun and the staff all helpful

R. E.Great pool with diving boards, big pool for lane swimming, a warmer teaching pool and a small even warmer pool that work well for parents with small babies or kids. Life guards with access to underwater cameras look after pool safety. Easy for families as there are also unisex changing cubicles and changing tables. There is also a gym, saunas and a hot tub.
S. T.Went back to swimming after a hiatus since the pandemic. Had an issue with my app which the receptionist helped me out with which was much appreciated. The website was totally confusing in terms of booking and I tried to call but no one called me back. So decided to come in person wasting a morning as all slots were booked already to swim. Overall the booking process is a nightmare when it fails. Hopefully going forward it’ll be much easier to book and swim!
