What a beautiful place to be able to swim! Sun shining its a little bit of heaven.. Very peaceful really helpful staff lovely cafe to get something to eat and drink. But the swim is the star so tranquil, somewhere I know want to go everyday.

Why have I never submerged here before? Great staff, super friendly and looking out for your safety. The water is so fresh... bit chilly obvs as it's outside but surrounded by glorious green nature. Great size and felt 'safe' during a pandemic. We went as part of a camp fire & cocktails event. Really good fun and I'd return to swim properly

Social distance outdoor swimming done right. The only pain is booking via the Better App (sometimes works others not) but once you're there it's great. 400m loop (not 750m) at the moment, works fine. No changing facilities or cafe but that's fine too.... so nice to be able to swim again!

Beautiful and very well maintained open water swimming facility with visible buoys to help sighting. The changing room is clean, the lockers work with 20p that you won't get back at the end. A nice terrace and a coffee place to enjoy the view after a good training. I must say the coffee shop is definitely not 5 stars but here I'm rating the sports estate.

It's a good place to swim, water is very calm and warm and the staff is welcoming. Not sure what the need of the £3 cap is since everyone has a float and with only one large-ish loop (the other one being the 100m) and not being allowed to swim backstroke it's a bit limited. Good alternative to other open water swim location to switch it up.

Best open water swimming in London. Choice of a big loop or a small one if you want to stay closer to land. The water seems very clean, almost drinkable. Very friendly staff with the canoeists on the water keeping a watchful eye on swimmers.

Calm and peaceful with plenty of wildlife compared to the urban surroundings. Book swimming slots here via Better and you won't regret it. There also seems to be a lot of paddle board yoga going on.

Well done to the team for setting up a great new system in the Covid era. I thoroughly enjoyed my swim today. Loving the use of swim floats for all - much better visibility of other swimmers.

Wide stretch of water which seems fresh and unpoluted. Staff are helpful and friendly. With Covid and water safety issues, there is a strict regime of rules and supervision. The Better App works well for booking. There is a sensible cancelling/queueing system for busy days. I'm happy to be outdoor swimming again!

P. S.

I go here for the open water swimming on Saturday and Sunday mornings during the warmer months. Well worth a visit. There is a 750m and a 500m course, plus you can just swim between the jetties to do lanes of you want a more gentle into to open water swimming. Nice clean and modern changing facilities, proper showers and lockers. Staff are really lovely and there is a cafe. What's not to love?

I visit to go Open Water Swimming - rare in London. After the compulsory induction there are session weekend morning and Thursday evening. Available if water temperature 11°C or above and sunlight. small loop is 500m and my GPS agrees. larger loop is 750m officially, but I have never managed to get it less than 780m (even swimming breaststroke). Nice hidden cafe too.

This is a fantastic facility for open water swimming within easy cycling distance of the city centre. There's decent changing rooms, friendly staff, and a nice cafe. The only problem is that it's simply too busy, especially when the weather is good or there are external courses happening. Unless you are prepared to wait for people to get out then you should be there as soon as it opens. The managers should hire additional safety kayakers in order to increase capacity. Also, members should get priority over non-members (we still have to pay even if it's full when we show up!). This capacity problem is the main reason for 3/5 stars, otherwise I would give 5/5.

Lovely water sport venue clean, tidy well kept and the instructors are very helpful. there is ample parking on site. It can be a bit tricky to find as it does appear that you may be driving down a very narrow lane but carry on pat the climbing center for about 100 yards and you will find the gate on the left.
