Reviews of Wigmore Lawn Tennis Club
I have just completed our first full term of coaching since Covid and could not be happier with the outcome. I really look forward to lessons with both Joe and Scott and feel my tennis and approach have improved hugely. So much so that my tennis partner and I won the Ladies Vets Doubles on Finals Day... what better testament to coaching success. Thank you both!
Good club, with lots of coaches. 8 courts - 4 artificial clay, 3 acrylic, 1 artificial grass - all floodlit.
Nice place,recently refurbished.
Been a member for 5 years, it's a great club, welcoming of all levels.
The club has just had it's courts resurfaced, and the clubhouse and bar have been refurbished. It's looking contemporary and is a warm and welcoming place to play for fun or enter competitions. The coaches are exceptional, and the childrens program is extensive. Recently, the standard has skyrocketed, and the club is 3rd (out of 30 clubs) in the division.
Friendly staff.
My son loves to go to his class.
Great club and coaching. Will be sadly missed during lockdown 2
Excellent tennis club with serious social distancing etc!
Great courts and atmosphere. Little haven of tennis in the heart of Streatham
Great club.
Fun
Scott has been great and I can finally call myself a tennis player with his coaching. Really listens to what I want to work on and adapts things so I improve quickly. I really look forward to our lessons.
Nice place
I've been taking group lessons for several years but since the lockdown, and now working from home, I decided that it was time to reevaluate my work/life balance and have been playing more tennis in general. I decided this was also time to have some 1-1 lessons. Scott is a fantastic coach and has really helped me to improve all aspects of my game. I'd had lessons at my old club and coaches there were never able to teach me a top spin serve. I challenged Scott with this task and boom, I can now do a top spin serve. Needs practice but so thrilled!
Excellent tennis club with serious social distancing etc
Great coaches, they have made a life dream come true by converting my partner into tennis lover as well.
My partner and I are now engaged, is this in part thanks to Joe and Scott? Quite possibly.
Great courts, and really friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
8 floodlit courts (1 astro, 3 porous acrylic, and 4 artificial clay).
You can play all year around and there are lots of social events as well as box leagues and tournaments. There is something for everyone.
Beautifully maintained courts, newly refurbished clubhouse and friendly staff. Currently enjoying the Social Tennis membership.
It's a great little community club offering very nice courts, a friendly atmosphere and access to coaching and regular events. My family have been members for several years now and they love it.
Post prandial Spontaneous tennis...the best
8 great courts - good social tennis sessions - competitive box leagues and a full range of group and individual coaching
