Swimming classes for my daughter. All great and good. My issue is with the gym. The off peak monthly price is £30. PureGym, less than 1 mile away has their off peak for £15. Their full package is only £30. Sep 22 edit. I've taken 1 whole star off. The council owned car park attached to the leisure centre. At no point do any members of staff ask how you have travelled to the centre today. Yes they have free visitors passes to put in your car window but you have to ask for them and you get no warning there may be parking attendants giving out tickets.

Qas there for a child's birthday party. Plenty of room in the sports hall for the children to run around. Could also fit a bouncy castle in there as well planty of tables and chairs for food. The carpark had enoth parking though you have to pay unless on a Sunday. Nice place.

Large, plenty of equipment (but currently no rowing machine), very friendly reception staff.... clean and well-run. In daytime, usually a sprinkling of people, many of them elderly.

Decent gym with good facilities for an affordable price. The pool is a good size, although the changing rooms were a little unclean from time to time.

Went swimming here this morning. It was clean and modern. There were 5 changing cubicles in the mens wet changing room - as everybody asks and nobody ever says! The pool is big enough for most activities. This seems a long way from some of the other reviews I've read. I've posted photos of the changing room as there are none online. Limited obviously, owing to privacy of users!

Went for covid booster. Car park is pay and display, but what is not clearly advertised until you enter the building is that if you are attending for a booster vaccination the parking is free. I do wonder how many paid that didn't need to! In, registered, jabbed and out very quickly. Staff and volunteers were friendly, helpful and efficient without making you feel rushed. Credit to them all for the work they are doing.

I have booked now for school holidays and having a disabled daughter aged 11 I cannot praise the facilities and staff enough, the facilities are excellent especially the disabled facility and the staff are absolutely amazing always going above and beyond to make our visit go smoothly they are so lovely and kind would give this place 10 out of 10 stars not just 5! FANTASTIC PLACE TO GO!

I was approached today by a person employed by the centre and informed I am not allowed a towel to dry my perspiration I use that to stop fluid dripping onto the floor causing a slip hazard to others As we all know health and safety is everyone's concern so it's nice to know this is not the case by this centre so should you slip on fluid please feel free to talk to a solicitor I was also instructed that my sports bag which contains my towel,water bottle wallet car keys and phone should be left in the changing room that's also nice to know that the centre are responsible for all your property should it be taken by someone else you can also speak to a solicitor regarding this matter. as I have been attending this centre for the last 12 months and this is the first time I have been informed of these demands by the centre I am concerned by this person's knowledge of H&S rules and the council's stance on property left in changing areas

Used the swimming pool here wasn't too busy, staff were helpful and friendly. Changing rooms were clean. Could do with turning the pool temp up.

Eccles Leisure Centre (part of Salford Community Leisure) is a fantastic facility offering (under normal circumstances) group exercise classes, a large and well equipped gym with a strength and conditioning area complete with squat racks and deadlifting platforms, and a 25m swimming pool. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help.

The gym is exceptional, a very large space with a large variety of equipment. There are always lovely staff around and it is clean. The pool is full size and the staff are always on hand if you get into trouble. Regular swimming lessons for kids and adults alike at good prices. You get a lot for your money on their membership here.

This is a well run and equipped Community Leisure Centre. I particularly like the space and the gym. There is swimming pool ans showering facilities too. Social distancing is in force and does impose new restrictions, but this is to be expected.

It was alright, the showers are hot but the water in the swimming was shall we say different temperature was variable from one end to the othwe. The best way to describe it was if you've ever swam in a reservoir when you swim throuth different currants over than that it's ok

It's a good gym but at the moment you are limited to one hour blocks. Which I find frustrating if you need longer than an hour you have to leave the gym for 30 minutes walk round Eccles before you can use the next hour block

Only went for my second covid jab. Unfortunately it did not not run as smoothly as the first time round. We were all in a queue waiting for approximately 90 minutes . Can't he helped.😁

It is a good gym, the gym is renovated, there is a huge workout section at the back, there is also a nice graffiti in the gym 👍

My daughter goes here for gymnastics and she loves it. It's always clean and the staff are friendly and approachable. The gymastic equipment is great and the gymnast teachers are always checking on safety which is vital. Only downfall is they don't have a changing room for the little ones.

Great clean gym with lots of well kept up to date modern equipment. Also two large indoor courts for other sports such as badminton and tennis. For me what shines the most in this leisure centre is the pool. A 25 meter 3 lane pool with a maximum depth of 2 meters, fairly unusal for a large council owned pool to only operate 3 swimming lanes during lane swimming sessions. Lots of other pools the same size have 4 to 6 lanes open during lane swimming. Lots of swimming lanes often causes problems at other swimming pools as it's very cramped and you find people literally swimming underneath each other when they pass by. Collisions between swimmers are also common in a pool that has many lanes but not enough space, not to mention the horrible feeling you get when your holding up the people behind you but can do nothing about it. At Eccles lesuire centre the three lane circular system works well, their is more than enough room for two people to swim pass you, never mind one person. It also helps if you are stuck behind a particularly slow person you can easily pass by them with out causing a fuss. Lane swimming starts at the shallow end in a clock wise direction, when you reach the deep end you simply move over to the other side of the lane and continue your swim towards the shallow end. You very rarely have to wait about. The slow lane is on the left, this is for new swimmers, older people and less abled swimmers. In the middle is the most popular medium lane which is for the avrage swimmer. On the right is the fast lane which is for stronger, quicker swimmers. The water is never too cold and if you don't fancy lane swimming you can just attend one of their daily open pool sessions which has no lanes and is open to everyone. It's clean and the locker rooms are fairly well kept.
