Reviews of Wythenshawe Forum
C.
A really lovely leisure centre. Very clean and well looked after. The team are friendly and helpful and it is a great place to meet new people. The exercise classes keep you motivated and there are a range of choices to suit different needs.

This is an updated review from two years ago. The staff are welcoming and friendly. I want to give a special mention to Liam and Brian, they were extremely helpful today and Liam you were exceptional - thank you.

Location of this gym is very close to everything
Specially the bus interchange station
The gym is clean and well organised
A bit small and limited number of equipment
Does the job and it open week days till 10 pm
Weekends till 5 pm
I Wish if it open 24/7
The membership is so cheap ! £15 / month
With Swiming is £18 !
S. B.
Quite good equipped gym spread on two floors. Bottom floor is more for men (heavy weights), top one is universal, with big cardio section, weights, machines and mattresses for stretching. They have a good selection of classes (love yoga with Lauren), sauna and swimming pool. Unfortunately there are some negatives: changing room need updating, showers are disgusting! There is always problem with air conditioner in a summer time and I wish they clean equipment more often.

Was there to work (I'm a cleaner). Forum is nice and spacious, people are friendly. Well worth a visit.

Still one of the best Leisure Centres and Local gyms in the area. Having recently taken a relative there with a disability, I was extremely pleased with the help and assistance we got. This is sadly lacking in some of the much smaller local gyms. It was also a lot cheaper and less restrictive time wise.
As most people are aware, this July 2020 Gym’s are allowed to reopen. Having looked at the requirements for opening and small gyms, I hope they can genuinely operate safely. I’ve been assured that Wythenshawe Forum, when it reopens, will be up to date on all safety aspects in relation to COVID 19.

Great place but why do the showers at the pool not have curtains or doors? You can't shower properly with your swim costume on. If there were curtains we could have a bit of privacy and shower ourselves. The amount of times I've been in the women's showers and a Male swimmer or Male lifeguard has come to the female showers to either check the toilets/showers or because they are lost. There also needs to be more hooks in the shower rooms and the changing rooms. And the pool can be so cold! We had to climb out yesterday after 30 mins because my son's lips had turned blue. We always swim constantly in the pool to keep from getting too cold but it is like it's getting colder in the pool lately. They could also do with music in the pool area I think. Gym goers can listen to their music with headphones but the swimmers can't. Background music would be nice. The sauna is closed so often that I'm thinking of swapping my membership to one without the health suite.

Visited the forum for my sons first swimming lesson despite us living outside of the area. Parking is free after 5pm which is good. Good local amenities

It was the very special education place where i finally created some new close friends that took me 5 years from 2011-2015 to find common two awesome guys with my personality that is also consisted of my mum's first wish and it finally worked when i formed the main friendship group from 2016-present, that will last forever and ever.
This campus is the highest grossing campus of The Manchester College Chronology, my adventures, my friendship with my newest teammates of my class, the awesomest times took place there at the Forum Learning where even my education took place, it demands with score of 1000%. for this place to be like a filming location and connects with the highest grossing arena from NYC's Madison Square Garden.

It's a great facility with gym and swimming pool. Steam rooms. The library is fantastic there is also an adult education facility and not forgetting the Forum theatre which hosts various shows throughout the year to suit the whole family. The forum Health centre is also available with Lloyds chemists. Last but not least a newsagents and a cafe/coffee shop.

Wythenshawe is improving overall! It's been nearly 5 yrs here and I can tell things are changing. The forum has a great gym facility with a lovely pool, a lovely library with get together for kids, a lovely coffee shop and a FANTASTIC nursery where my little girls currently goes.
j. h.
I love the fact that there is now a personal trainer available, the facilities are a good size with plenty of machines. A few more free weights down stairs I feel would be beneficial. Overall a great gym.
S. A.
Great place to conduct big events. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I could see was non-invited people appearing and waving at the audience during one of our stage programs. If only these invaders were stopped, this would be the best place I have ever attended a program.
S. M.
Went here to swim woth my baby as the pool was open for babies only but when we got in the water was freezing so we could only stay in 5 mins. Staff where great in reception, very helpful. Cleanliness could be improved. I won't be returning due to the pool temperature
S. W.
Housing the library and other useful places including swimming it's a well maintained building. Only quarm with the place was the electric gate at swimming that opened back onto my daughter with such force that she ended up with a big egg on her little head and very upset.
J. N.
A great place for concerts, plays and other forms of entertainment. A huge hall with plenty of seating, can be in rows or round big circular tables.
Huge carpark with plenty of spaces for blue badge holders.
H.
Good community resource including gym, library, job centre, concert facilities, cafe, doctor's surgery and community NHS services as well as chemist and a little shop. Shame about antisocial behaviour. The security staff could do more to make the entrances safer from crowds of people hanging out there not using the facilities.
A. A.
It's an amazing place to be with so many opportunities abound such as the library, the play hall, swimming pool and leisure areas.
S. f.
I only visit here on a Sunday when my granddaughter has a dancing comp. It is always clean and bright. I would love this kind of space where I live. It seems to nearly have everything that a community needs.
A. D.
A massive centre, with a library, leisure centre and MAES adult learning. Plenty of parking available at a cheap price. It costs 0.35p for 2 hours
M. S.
Joined recently and was disappointed that they don't offer personal training. There could be more resistence weight training machines but instead there is a lot of wasted space upstairs, and downstairs a very cramped free weights section. I think this gym is in need of modernising now that it has been taken over by Everyone Active.
M. T.
Awesome place to spend your time with activities of your interest. Used to visit for swimming. The gym and badminton are good as well.
j. e.
Took part in swimathon here. Large leisure centre. Lots of parking. Friendly reception. Well organised event. 25m pool with lanes. Has a separate small pool and returnable £1 lockers.
H. G.
It's like invisible to find the family karate kid class in leisure centre.
Parking charges most of the day. Free only in evening.
Big place. Rest is alright.
J. Q.
Helpful staff, lovely welcome from the nice lady at the front desk. My first visit today, lovely 🏊.
J. B.
I went to my granddaughters show amazing experience. Inside the Forum there are shops, a library etc. Brilliant venue with amazing light and sound equipment. Well worth a visit.
a. m.
Great staff on reception desk and an hidden gem ! Saw circus of horrors there recently which was a fantastic show ! Seats a little too close and slightly uncomfortable but nothing major as its great value for money !
L. S.
Went swimming yesterday and the only reason i am not giving 5 stars is the lack of doors on the showers so you can wash the chlorine off your skin properly. No point in bothering with the showers.
M. T.
Great services and choice of amenities.
Easy to get to good public transport links.
Staff knowledgeable and helpful.

H. E.
I use the gym four times a week, just bog standard equipment but hey it does me. Price is reasonable compared to some of the more upmarket Gyms.
J. M.
Very well organised in these uncertain times of Covid and Social Distancing. All eqp sanitised before and after each use. Feels very safe in there.
M. W.
It's a long time since I last visited and it was light, modern, clean & spacious. Great transport links - buses/trams to Altrincham, Manchester, Stockport.
T. D.
I only stopped in to use the toilet but did find the shops well laid out.
g. l.
Lived locally all my life, and to have this gym/swimming/sauna/theatre on my door step is amazing. The staff are incredible.
A. D.
Well appointed gymnasium. Good size pool. Nice choice of food available.
D. J.
