D. C.Was watching our youngest play an away game at Newcastle.
Facilities are first class for the level of basketball that she is playing. A world away from the normal high school sports hall experience we normally suffer.
Slightly tricky U turn to get to the venue itself, but turned around at the nearest lights, back down the dual carriageway for 30 seconds and then into the carpark. Plenty of free parking too.
Inside there was a nice cafe and food was good.
Public viewing is on a balcony overlooking the three courts with about 5 rows of seats per court.
All good apart from the result, we got humped.

A. H.We took our son to see the Newcastle Eagles play. Great atmosphere even before the game starts and it is now a regular outing. Food and drink is available and there is a gift shop selling Eagles merchandise. We paid the five pounds to park in the stadium car park and we think it's well worth it. Great family atmosphere every time we have been and if the game is close at the end, everyone is on their feet cheering the team on. Would recommend for people of all ages as a good outing especially families, and the little ones will love dance cam.
3.A very flexible venue able to host sports, Basketball, Netball, Volleyball, Boxing as well as business suits, Weddings, Graduation Events and more.
Excellent staff, clean facilities, wheelchair accessible to all areas.
Loads of parking and close to bus routes.

S. K.Wow. This may be one of my longer reviews. Having seen this Arena evolve from a vision of the ownership group to fruition has been exiting. The signage on the front is very visible ( looks super cool at night) The brand new , multi use function and event arena is well laid out. Starting with economy friendly parking lot, to the welcoming entrance and lobby, every detail has been meticulously thought through. State of the art kitchen facilities allows for very large functions to be served quality meals on a timely basis. the lobby has a well stocked concession stand, team store and bar service. The second level boasts ample meeting / breakout and flexible space. There is a bar that has a country club feel. Immediately outside the bar and meeting area is the second floor of the arena. Great for VIP functions. The facility has ample storage space for all the items needed to hist variety of events.
The highlight, of course , is the main arena. Highest quality Mondo brand flooring is suitable indoor professional sports. The stands ( about 3000 total seating capacity) are quality yet mobile and can be moved to suit event. The space may be positioned in many ways to allow flexibility. The lighting system is world class and can be immediately adjusted by the staff using their mobile app! Sound quality is amazing and acoustics allows for high level concerts. The massive, high definition monitors asl double as some of the clearest scoreboards we have ever seen.
This place is a massive addition to the Newcastle area and will be home to a great deal of family experiences.

A. N.Been here for multiple occasions ( basketball match, Eid prayer and vaccination centre ) lovely place with good parking.
P. O.North pole experience, found it a bit daunting with the grandson, but he enjoyed it.. it was a bit loud and with there being dry ice and smoke involved not great for us with copd and asthma. No warnings about it either at the entrance or online.

V. H.This was the venue for my covid vaccine, the organisation of the thousands of people attending was fantastic. Extremely helpful and cheerful marshalls, even in the extreme weather conditions. Inside the volunteers were friendly and efficient and from parking to leaving after jab, 25 minutes inside the building. Thank you everyone 😀

J. H.First of hopefully a regular quiz night, great night with lots of teams. Pity the barman was on his own though. I understand the Food & Beverage Manager was on site, just not on duty other than to serve herself with food & drink while her only member of bar staff worked away and paying customers queued - a better turn out than expected I think. Poor example of how to 'manage' by anyone's standards but certainly not a team player!

T. M.fairly good sized car parking which is secure and done by getting a ticket to release the barrier then paying on the exit using the machine in the foyer. nice and clean new building. the prices for snacks and drinks are more on the expensive size. overall I would reccomend.5 stars

D. H.Lovely looking stadia. Brilliant acoustics and awesome atmosphere. Lost 1 star for lack of cash machine or ability for taking card payments and poor layout at the reception area. Food stall next to the ticket desk caused chaos. More food and drink options away from the reception area would be great. Self scan gate for pre purchased tickets would be better than standing in a big queue outside. Let's go eagles!

R. Y.Nice ground and very modern. However in 2019 you really need to be accepting card payments. Even the smallest businesses do. The fact this doesn't sets it back massively IMO.

M. H.Running an arena is fairly new to the Eagles organisation. They try there best to make your visit an enjoyable experience and time will help them improve.
On game night if you have not pre booked parking (£3) don't try and drive to the ECA. There are regular buses from Newcastle, the 12 or 12A run every 30 mins in the evening and stop just outside the arena on Scotswood Road. The stop you want is Scotswood Road / Brunell Terrace. If you have pre-booked parking arrive early as access to the carpark is only possible from the Eastbound side of Scotswood Road and there is usually tailbacks onto Scotswood Road every home game.
The foyer of the ECA is where you can buy refreshments but there is usually large queues for the cafe. Alcohol, Coffee and popcorn can be bought from barrows and they are usually quicker then waiting for the cafe. There is also a merchandise stall in the foyer.
In the hall itself I would recommend seats in the East stand and they offer the best views of the game. Schools and other groups are usually seated in the North and South stands but they are behind the baskets so offer a limited view.
At the end of the game only one exit is open so if you are in a hurry you either need to exit just before the end or might as well sit in your seat for 10_15 mins to let the place empty out.
