Reviews of Walker Activity Dome
Had the bairns birthday party there and it was fantastic £95.00 for room with disco, lights, decorations and tables set up for you plus a bouncy castle and the staff are great.
We have been to the dome when the inflatable Planet is on a couple of times now. The amount of equipment out varies each time but there are large inflatable obstacle courses for the kids (and adults) to enjoy.
It can be pricey unless you get a deal online and you have to wear their socks which you have to buy and is additional to the price already paid on tickets. It’s only £2 but you can use them for your next visit.
We all had a great time and would go again. It’s more tiring than you’d think but a lot of fun !
Loveliest staff ever. Beautiful space. Great place to hold an event though best to rely on phone rather than email to make the arrangements.
I have just enjoyed my first game of squash here, and the staff and facilities were great. Ample parking outside too. We will be back.
Fantastic place to come and train all amenities available every sport catered for staff will go above and beyond to help
Typhoons had a fantastic time playing football, well just really liked knocking each other over
Great place to play football
In need of a bit tlc, but the staff are lovely.
This establishment has a very good equipped gymnasium & different classes you join for tuition. There is also outdoor football pitches you can rent. This facility is owned by Newcastle city council. Membership is a lot cheaper than the main named national companies .(Recommended) the Dome also accommodates the East end library with separate opening hours.if you wish to return a book out of library hours you can use the self check in on the ground floor library's entrance
Great place for sports such as football, badminton, squash, trampolining. Great state of the art, artificial 5 & 6 a side pitches, aswell as an 11 a side pitch.
Great gym and great service. Very friendly staff.
Has a nice library too, and a cafe. Aerobics classes and self defense classes are available here too.
Easy accessible car parking available.
Decent facilities for football, badminton, exercise etc. However it could do with a bit of upgrading and expansive space. For the prices, it is decent but there could be improvements if you compare to other sports facilities and complexes around the North Easts specifically around Newcastle and South Shields.
It is a good place for kids. It has lot of soft play area . I won't recommend it for older children if they are alone. Children are not allowed to drink water inside but staff are allowed which is weird. plenty of parking space. Parents need to buy socks even if they are not getting on the soft play.
Underrated place make no mistake. I have visited here with Walker Technology College as an associate staff member for several years, nigh on ten. The sports facilities are good, with the relatively new outdoor AstroTurf pitches as a welcome addition to the east end of the city. Gym and squash courts are sound. Go there. Do not be bone idle.
Staff friendly and informative
The best 5 a side football pitches in Newcastle at a reasonable price. £31 for an hour on the pitches. Lots of parking and easy online booking tool. I've also used the squash courts which are also good value for money.
Great gym plus everything else you could possibly need
Good classes although would be better if they hadn't cancelled most of my favorite ones and also no childcare for times I need to use the gym but husband is on late nights at work. Then maybe is give more stars
This gym has what you need good equipment and friendly people train there and friendly service however some of there equipment could do with getting new versions of them as some of the bars just fall apart also recommend heavy ropes for rope training and and adjustable ab trainer
A good selection of fitness programmes and you can get referred there by your gp if he feels you'll benefit from it. The peopkeworki g there are friendly and helpful. Good car parking around the dome.
Great staff and great venue, shame the gym has gone tho
Great service. The girl in the library always helps if you need. Printed my cv for free here. I definitely recommend to join the library.
Great place for a game of football
School holidays sometimes can get this full straight away, when it comes to places for the soft play areas. Hours of fun and staff are great and always in view.
Great friendly and helpful staff. Good range of facilities available. Free parking although can be limited on spaces sometimes.
Only really go there for Roller Derby but on bout days they have tea and coffee quite cheep and have always acomidated the NRG and Tyne and Fear.
The floor can be grippy or slippy depending on the day which can throw you off while skating
Looks a bit shabby from the outside, bit nice inside. I can't comment too much on the facilities as I've only been there to watch a highland dancing competition.
Good sized football pitches.
Played 5-aside here. Pitch surface is amazing but would be nice if pitches were slightly wider
Clean toilet and great coffee machine: -) haven't used owt else my son's training is there
Perfect Taekwondo teachers are the best. Looking for sports? You can found what you want in here.
I went here to see my granddaughter learn her gymnastics. It was fabulous to be able to watch her
Great place to learn sports and a good gym inside and also has outdoor astro turf pitches.
No gym anymore not reopening it after lockdown
Great local gym and leisure centre. Great local activities for family and kids.
Not enough toilets for the size of venues. £4.50 for a 330 can of larger !!! Drinks a rip off!!
I mean there are many activities to do for kids so I recommend you bring them
It's okay but playing football on a sports hall floor isn't as good as the astroturf at the now sadly defunct Soccerdome.
Great squash but toilets filthy
Amazing venue, the floor looked great, wish i had the opportunity to skate on it!
Cheapest 5aside pitches anywhere! Good new pitches, week looked after
Friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Small gym
A bit far out but excellent value for money and great facilities.
Excellent, library available to sit on even when it's closed.
Good
Good but not that good as EastEnd pool in Byker.
Nice, clean facilities with lots of activities all week
Walker library. Free access to internet, book to borrow, gym and lot of children activities
Basic gym/leisure centre. Very reasonably priced.
Pirches were in great condition and staff were very helpful!
Good squash courts, not great but good.
Not used enough a lot of space but needs to attract more visitors
Reasonably priced. Surface could be better.
Used for football and training. Good facilities.
Great setup for football. 11s and 5s available
Came here for inflatable planet. Fantastic family fun
Great place to book badminton courts and football
Great place for a kick about or 5 a side league's
Bouncy thing was a good laugh, kids loved it.
Great facilities and very fair pricing
Good squash facilities for the east side of Newcatle
Kids loved it here on a trip with the school
Good gym with plenty of. Parking
Great pitches. But not cheap.
Nice facilities and sport halls.
5 a side pitches for around 20 quid
Decent pitches and always over available.
Generally a weekly visit, great staff and facilities
Reasonably priced, could do with update.
