We attended the Active Tots play group with my 7month old little boy. It was lovely to interact with other mums and little ones. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Visited the centre for a pilates in a chair class today. The instructor was brilliant. The staff on reception were also really polite and efficient. Nevertheless can't wait for the new centre to be built and open as I then won't have to trek all the way to Spytty for Aqua Mobility

Went to see Marilyn Manson in dec 2017. Such a great intimate venue to see a show. Sound was great and the atmosphere fantastic!! Leisure centre staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

It has several restaurants, all types of foods available. Minimum £6 for a good basic meal. Mexican latin European etc. Asian restaurants NOT available. Lot of shopping malls for clothes, shoes, and gadgets. But all are nearly 15% priced more than regular shops. Perfect hangout for youth and old aged.

Efficient vaccination center, shame as this shell of my childhood will soon be rubble. No more pool, no more slides, no more watching for your wristband colour to be flashing so you've got to get out of the pool, and no more wave machine! Just now, the vaccination center, efficient, nhs staff are friendly, get you in, jabbed and out.

I went for my vaccine I believe it ran very smoothly. Have been attending the measure centre/pool all my life and now take my children here and had their birthday parties here. I have also been part of the tattoo convention help here and the staff couldn't have been more helpful to us show runners

Brings back some great childhood memories, comin here swimming when I was a young boy always sticks in my mind. They have a gym here aswell which I quite cool, also indoor football squash and all other activities. Great place to go.

Really well organised! Excellent covid arrangements- apprehensive initially as haven't visited a gym since February but completely reassured once there. All equipment well spaced, light and airy spaces to train, including spin class. Plenty of cleaning materials available. Staff really welcoming and very helpful - excellent members' welcome by Terri too. Highly recommend.

Five stars. Would get vaccinated there again. Sadly the pool was closed on the day I visited. Also, some kind of medical conference restricted access to the badminton courts. Slightly inconvenient, but my shoulder was quite painful anyway. Will be visiting again soon hopefully! (Seriously, though - a big thank you to all of the Newport Centre and NHS staff involved).

It now closed down and a new leisure Centre is being built. It's currently being used as a covid vaccination centre. I have had my covid vaccinations there and it's been a good well organised experience.

Came for my covid jab. Easiest way to venture in is to park in the Kingsway Car Park. The vaccination centre is signed posted throughout, but basically points you towards floor - 1. Follow the signs and you'll be there in no time. It's still quite busy but really well organised. All socially distanced, with a temp check and hand sanitiser given on arrival. You'll be told where to go and who to speak to each step of the way. Very friendly staff and NHS workers.

Still has the 80s feel I remember from when I was little. Very clean though (unless you count the ceilings in the swimming changing rooms, they've seen better days) with good facilities. The pool is flipping cold though, even with my little boy's wet suit on, he was shivering. The pool "toys" also don't work, but it's cheap to swim and my step daughter loved it so ...happy days ☺️

Went to see a Busted concert here with my daughter who has a disability, it's all on the flat which was perfect, yes there is a balcony with a life to get there. Parking is opposite the leisure centre, which was also great. Staff were SO helpful, security were great too on the night. I have never been here before but would recommend it & will be returning.

Has some great facilities in here. My girls go twice a week for gymnastics, my wife uses the gym, apart from all the clubs, you can simply go swimming or if you like gigging they have plenty of big name bands in there too. Plenty to do for all the family or individuals.

Absolutely a most fantastic visit, on arrival security were really helpful showing me where to go ,once inside I was welcomed by a Mrs Plant ,who then helped me sanitize my hands took my temperature and then showed me where to go next ,then met a very polite young lady who took my Name and asked for my I d ,then told me where to go next ,another Lady then took all my contact details and showed me where to go next ,I then met another really nice Lady who asked me some health questions, and then said to me is it ok now for me to give you your Vaccination ,it was done perfectly and I felt nothing, she then asked if I would like to sit in a very large waiting area well ventilated for 15 minutes then if I still felt ok I could leave ,while I was waiting a few other really caring Ladys asked if everything was ok, I said yes thank you, when my 15 minutes where up I left ,What Fabulous helpful considerate and totally Professional people they have working at and for Newport Centre, I'd like to say a big thank you to all concerned

The city center is a good place to go with the family over the weekend! You can do swimming , badminton and lots more! You can sing up for karate classes for kids, plan birthday parties for young kids in the soft play, and after you've enjoyed your time there , you can go to the cafe and grab something nice to eat or drink!

Very good gym, helpful staff. Pool, although I haven't used it, looks fun. Indoor football facilities are fine, bit warm. Decent showers, high percentage of lockers in certain areas are broken. Try to use lockers on first floor if using gym. Membership is very expensive, £28 per month, but if you go regularly it can be worth it.

Great leisure centre, does really nice classes, great gym, helpful staff. Not bad prices, there are cheaper gyms. Pool is nice for a brief swim, check times etc. Not for the serious swimmer. They need the velodrome. Massive car park next door. I went to give blood with the Welsh blood service. Some concerts and event happening now and again. Located in the centre of Newport by the river. I went there for my Covid vaccination well organized and from previous experiences well sorted and a pleasure to visit great swimming pool as well parking can be awkward set in the centre of Newport close to top shops but multi-story car park adjacent to it

Visit here a few times a year for a fight show. It's easy to find and has easy, low cost parking next door. You can get drinks etc either from their vending machines or their bar upstairs. Nice, clean airy venue with plenty of loos and facilities. We went just last week during June and the venue was quite hot, needed some more air-con on which spoilt it a bit but apart from that everything is usually great.

on the 10 of February I went to the centre to have my jab and I was more than happy they was very good with me and the way that it was played out in there was brilliant because no matter where u was in there u was not by eny one at eny time it made me feel safe and they was lovely to me

Only took mum for her Vaccination , too many people in one place i felt, although saying that no more than a supermarket ,but you were indoors for 40 mins and a mix of age groups it should be over 80s, and key workers at different times or different days, hoping there will be more venues available and local for the second dose.

The gym isn't huge but it's well equipped and spotless. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and sometimes I feel like I have a personal trainer. It's more pricey than others, but if you become a member you get a huge amount of classes, the pool and racquet sports included, and can use facilities across the 4 Newport live centres. Would recommend.

I think the leisure centre pool needs a bit of an update. The changing rooms, the locks should be changed so in case of an emergency and you need to get in someones changing room, all managers should have access. Save people having to jump over the top.

Went to see the wombats live here the concert was well organised and the sound was good, the bar is pretty rubbish and the queue for drinks was long, the toilets were clean and entry and exit was easy and cheap parking close to the venue was a bonus

Newport Centre is a predominately keep fit centre, within very easy walking distance of Newport city centre. Inside the main entrance is the information/cash desk, where you'll discover all you need to know, from two lovely ladies. A superb swimming pool caters for all ages from tots to great grandparents! The water is pleasntly warm and the depth varies from beach shallows to swimming depth. Upstairs, accessed by stairs or a huge lift, is a gym with basically every keep fit machine you'll ever need. There are also facilities where you can enrol for 'exercises under instruction', depending on your personal needs. Finally, a cafe overlooks the pool, where you can relax with a coffee and watch the activities in the water below. Parking: if you have a blue card, there may be room outside the main entrance. Otherwise, the multi storey car park is opposite!. Enjoy!

The Newport centre is being demolished and being replaced by a new state of the art building with swimming pool sauna rooms etc along with a new college replacing the old college that resides over the other side of Newport the new college and leisure centre will be across the road from the city campus

30 years in the making, but the upgrade to Newport Shopping has finally arrived - including Debenhams. Very nice range of entertainment and shopping venues. Newport really needs the boost. Cost of parking is now very reasonable - it used to be highway robbery and they were losing out to Cwmbran Shopping! Anyway, this is a quality build shopping and entertainment area. Make sure you check out Newport's extensive Roman Artefact collection in the nearby Library & Museum
