A club doing the best they can and a great place for people who value supporting lower league football. You know your support here is valued but it takes dedication and perseverance. The great advantage is when the highs come they are so much sweeter. Try it and you never know you might get addicted like the other thousands of Cobblers.

Visited for the first time as a birthday treat for an 88 year old relative. All the staff could not have been more helpful. Perfect day! Great club spirit. Real family vibe. Pitch very impressive and super stadium. The last game I saw was at Camp Nou watching Messi. I enjoyed this game just as much!! Good luck with your last match of this season. You deserve to go up!!

Sixfields, the home of Northampton Town football club. A out of town stadium built solely for the car and coaches of away supporters. It was a strange experience to get to on foot as we went through an industrial estate and nature reserve from the station, but there are buses that can get you back into town if you wish not to walk 2.5 miles. The stadium itself is still under construction at the time of writing, with the East Stand partially complete with half its seats missing and the hotel/gym not even being built. Wherever you sit, bring a coat and gloves in colder weather as the location is pretty exposed to the elements (particularly the East Stand as there were no wind deflection walls on the sides of the stand or anything behind you). Still, a decent atmosphere and it was very clean compared to other stadiums.

A League two football ground. Standard football fare with pies.pasties, hot and cold drinks etc. Away seating is behind the net with a good view of the pitch. The ground is over a mile from the Railway station and will take about 30 mins to walk at a good pace.

First visit to Northampton Town ground im a Charlton fan. Friendly home support and staff. One side of ground only half complete. Outside the ground some of the paths were flooded and area round it very muddy. Think it council area. They need to sort this as some older supporters nearly slipped over

My team Plymouth Argyle were playing the Cobblers. Stayed overnight in Northampton and walked to stadium.......its miles from nowhere and first impressions are not good with a half finished side of the stadium. But once you get inside it's got a good atmosphere and feel about it. Away end is a tight squeeze but pitch is in good nick. Their fans were good.....but they would be, they stuffed us 3 -1. Drowned my sorrows with a couple of real ales in the Malt Shovel Tavern.

Nice stadium, friendly staff. Looked as though the stadium was under renovation which is understandable as some stands looked dated. Turnstiles very old and it is very awkward trying to scan your ticket as it is in the way and you get squashed going through it. They’d run out of burgers completely about 10 mins before kickoff and had to wait 5-10 mins for hot food as they didn’t have hot items ready to go for some reason - very unusual. Stewards friendly but kept marching around in front of fans while the game was on and running on the pitch when there was a goal.

A nice little stadium, clean and compact....still waiting on a stand to be finished. Offers free football, if you go and sit on the hill behind one of the low stands. Toilets were a 7 out of 10, not bad....but no soap in the gents today, apparently the ladies did have soap but only 2 toilets. Club shop was small but we'll stocked, although a lot of the products available online didn't appear to be in the club shop....and the club shop staff could have been a little friendlier. All other match day staff were spot on, right from security to turnstiles to stewards who bobbed down from their stools when the was a set piece at our end so as not to obscure the view. Pitch was terrible today. A big bonus was the 2 large car parks at the ground, cheap as well! Updated 05/03/2022 Soap in the toilets! Food ran out at half time. Stadium feeling a bit dated and unloved.....but it really is a cracking view from on that hill! 😉

Easy to get too from M1. Match days stadium parking £4, unofficial parking £3. Official parking on solid ground, unofficial on softer ground, both a nightmare to exit after a match. Standard football ground refreshments, though a bit pricier than a lot of others. Independent burger vans offer better value.

Facilities are good for the town and the football played here, it's not premier league so don't expect it but the stadium is well looked after from the team and management in place. Note: match day food and drink is quite pricey especially thinking £2.40 for a bottle of tap water is acceptable (it's not). The East stand is still unfinished due to the previous owners but seats are in place and I'm sure the stand will be finished at some point in my life time.

My first proper spectating football game with my son who begged to go. I'm well pleased we did, what a spectacle we were treated to with the Cobblers V Dons 2-2 but gripping throughout and great seating at reasonable cost. Standard post 1995 small football stadium. Ample hard standing car park at £4.00. If you wish to risk the muddy option then indepedant parking at £3.00. Food from inside kiosksis some of the dearest in the football league, yet it is only standards pies, hot dogs etc.. Food trailers offer better value.

Can understand the politics behind Coventry fans traveling here, but not paying to get in, and solidarity to them. However, if you're not a Coventry fan, and not protesting against your owners... (And God help them at Saint Andrews next season, the views bad enough inside!) Then do the decent thing, and pay to get in, and sit on, or stand Infront of, the sun bleached plastic flip up seats, because it's well worth it. Possibly the friendliest stewards in the league... Or maybe I was in there? History has taught me to go with the former! Decent food, decent drink, and decent prices. What more could you wish for?

Parking is dreadful, the pies are overpriced, and the stadium is cold for most of the year. However, you'll be close enough to the pitch to see the game without needing giant screens, and Sixfields stadium is certainly an improvement on the County Ground (old stadium). I've removed one star because there is a small group of home fans who seem to go just to shout abuse, but they are mostly harmless. If you go with kids, make sure you sit in the family area, otherwise you'll have to explain a lot of new words to your children... The club is involved with various community schemes, and at half time spectators try to kick footballs into a skip. That is how we entertain ourselves in Northampton. Finally, you can learn about the town's landmarks and history (in summary) if you listen to the chants... COBBLERS!

Season 2013/14. On the spur of the moment I decided to watch Brentford (the Bees) play the Sky Blues (Coventry City) at Sixfields. I was on a mission that day. I left Brentford at 12.29 and got to the ground at 14.55 by bike / train / bike. Trouble was that day was a Saturday and instead the Cobblers (Northampton) were playing the Sardines (Morecambe)! The game finished 0-0!! Coventry City v Brentford's fixture was, of course, on the Sunday! Fortunately the nice old geezer on the gate took pity on me and let me in for free! What a fool!
