A. S.Great local place.... Large lake with lots of pegs.... Good day out.... 7.30am start - no earlier.... No keep nets - all catch and release.... Lots of decent carp, bream and roach...

Pegs are closer than I am used to, so would be great to go fishing with friends, or allow a youngster the feeling of independence whilst being close.
Could have stayed all day, but 8 hours was enough for me, and a PB in overal weight and individual weight made my day.
If you go for the big ones, make sure your landing net is big enough!
R. T.Fished this lake for the first time this year and I have to say its been fantastic don't get as much time at the lake as i would like but in the times I have been this year I am yet come away with nothing, in total so far I have caught 89 carp ranging from 5lb-25lb, really is a fantastic lake

B. S.A fantastic commercial fishery. Nothing big. Carp up to mid 20s mostly long lean commons. And lots of them, of all sizes. Lots of silvers too. A good head of skimmers, and a few surprises. Big roach and crucians. There are some barbel, but they are rarely caught. Easy fishing. A bite a chuck, even in the middle of winter. Can get quite busy at peak times. Limited parking on the side of a busy A road, but easy access.

w. a.Fished here several times and must say never failed to catch. Trout pellet on a banded hair rig fantastic. Carp fight and run like mad especially 4 - 12 lb. biggest carp common 19lb 8oz. a lot of 20's in there seen other persons catch but I haven't caught. Would be my choice for a great simple day carp fishing great place to take a young angler as I often take my son.

N. l.Brilliant lake to fish absolutely love this place bailiff Dave top bloke helped us and taught us few things we never knew I have been twice with a friend and I caught 12 carp in the 2 times I went and friend had 7 all between 6lbs and 17lbs so far but there are bigger fish in there which we will get aiming for the 20lbs+ but defo beats sitting at places and getting nothing all day guaranteed to catch fish here

You do have to walk across a golf course witch isn't busy if you go early when the lake opens
M.Nice chilled day , great fishing for all sorts from float/feeder and carp fishing if you want quantity definitely try here
t. h.A VERY nice lake great fishing not expensive to go for day tickets 2 rods on site toilet limited parking on 2 laybyes gets busy on match days best to be early to get a peg
