Reviews of Weston Homes Stadium
D. B.
Shame to see the Posh relegated and if they had played like this all season it wouldn't have happened as they best Blackpool 5 - 0. Visited it on our tour of football league grounds and were made very welcome. Home and away fans welcome in the club bar which had a great pre match atmosphere
E. P.
We were nervous taking two school aged children to a sell out match, but we didn’t need to be, staff were great at directing supporters where they needed to go, home and away, and the family stand was perfect for watching the on pitch action which was a stones throw away. Up the posh!
e.
Ground Improving year on year. We found the stewards on matchday are really helpful and friendly towards away fans
Large car park nearby, £4
N. O.
Weston Homes stadium was amazing. I watched a football home game between Peterborough and Morecambe F.C.
Take a look at the photo of the stadium before the game commenced.
S. G.
A decent traditional stadium including wooden seats.
Unfortunately the pigeons seem to like the seats too! 🕊💩
Toilets were very small in the away end.
Food and drink is very basic at usual extortionate football prices but filled a hole.
Maybe not quite so posh as you'd be lead to believe 😉
E. A.
Wouldn't be fair to give less than 3* because this isn't an issue at all specific to this club. Only attended as an away fan and the facilities are awful, but it's definitely not the worst away end i've been in. I'm sure it's a good 4.5/5* for the home end but that's just the way it is for a lot of football stadiums.
K. O.
Great atmosphere but facilities are a bit dated and not enough for half time as you spend most of it queueing.
N. K.
Lovely stadium, good atmosphere, just need more fans
T. “. L.
An amazing place of passion and sporting.
M. C.
Excellent to visit, 41 years after my previous visit, both in the F.A.Cup 5th round...really enjoyed the game and credit to Peterborough for making it a real Cup tie.
S. L.
Nice stadium good view from the away end car park not far from the ground 7min walk you can get a beer food and soft drinks inside police where ok after the game showing fans back to the car park worth a visit
P. J.
Great little stadium.. Great owner who loves the club.. burger was awesome too .. not a fan of cashless stadiums though hence not 5 stars
D. S.
You have to visit the best and most entertaining football team in the country, peterborough united affectionately known as the posh, whenever you get an opportunity make sure you visit for a great match experience.. Great selection of food and drinks also available
J. R.
Did I enjoy my experience at London Road? No. My team were rolled over. However, the stadium itself is a good one for the League. I sat in the north stand which could do with some refurbishment.. But maybe they've got bigger plans in store.
C. B.
My first visit to London Road ( I won't call it the ABAX....ever! ). It was a crisp cold dry day. I caught the train to London from Plymouth and the LNER from Kings X. The ground was easy to find. The stewards were over officious ( 1 jobs worth in particular) making people sit in their allocated seats!! C'mon guys 600 fans ...huge great away end ....so what was the problem!? Music was bland and so was the match announcer. Away end was ancient....no legroom and wooden seats. Still, it was a great day out. Their fans were poor, not vociferous at all and not many of them. 6th in the league and just sacked their Manager.....clearly delusional. We are a better supported team and club, but haven't got any money! Aah well, who cares....we won!!!! Come on you Greens....Yeah.
J. B.
Lovely rustic stadium!
Looks like parts of the stadium have been updated
M. B.
My 1st time at London road, tiny ground but give you a close up view of the action. Great game Forest marched on, P'boro demoted unfortunately.
p. a.
A tidy old school stadium with mostly excellent views from the away supporters end. However there is a small section with restricted views, but credit to Peterborough United these seats were not in use on my visit with QPR.
J. O.
I have been coming here since 1966 and the stadium has not changed too much but is far better and safer than ever. It would be a shame if there is a move to a new stadium but the club must move forward. London Road terrace is an anachronism at this level, what will be it's fate?
T. H.
Used the hospitality services here, had a three course meal prematch which was very good with lots of choice, however allocated seating was very cramped
p. f.
Mix of old and new stands but the away end very new and good.
R. M.
Old school near town centre football ground, showing its age a bit buy handy for stations ,pubs and eateries
B. M.
A good old fashioned football stadium still with terracing behind one goal. The main stand houses the changing rooms as as my picture of the referee changing area shows it's showing it's 1950 heritage.
S. t.
Two of the stands look really smart if at some point they re build the other two stands it will make for an impressive stadium 👍
T. H.
A nice friendly football ground to visit. An excellent view of the pitch.
J. B.
Posh
☺️Nearly every home match, you will be entertained ,as POSH, score plenty in Div 1. Come along and have a good match.
D. P.
Went with the kids (6&9) we all had a good time. Food was reasonably priced, but the queues at halftime were very long.
S. L.
Tidy championship stadium, good facilities for the away fans. Really enjoyed my visit.
S. P.
As a steward it's one of the nicest stadium's I've worked the fans are lovely.
G.
Old fashioned but good viewing and friendly helpful people. It's a nice place to go.
R. C.
Well laid out football ground with good signage and stewarding
A. R.
Nice stadium to watch football posh fans very loyal . Good experience give it a try
M. C.
Not a bad stadium, came here to watch watch my club Charlton draw 0-0 here in a game when Charlton battered the posh, facilities are good good view of seats but the negative thing is the parking and the stewards are awful,we went in the right end but they were telling our fans to go into the home end
M. N.
I was there for one day training at conference site and I think the complex is all right. Nice and helpful staff. Clean toilets. Coffee, tea, cookies and water provided.
J. B.
What can I say, borough boys in blue did it again, came back and beat qpr 2-1 with a last minute scorcher by Dembele 🔵⚪️
C. C.
The atmosphere is great. It is tiny though and very ages. The seats are very weary and wooden. The stands can be very dirty but I understand 15'000 people coming and leaving everything behind.
Still good and will be visiting soon for the Man City game!
C. O.
Invited to corporate hospitality. Good room excellent food. Really welcoming staff. The host David Reily very good. A big thanks to the commercial team. Good luck to The Posh for next season 👍
J. J.
The stadium was big but the food was not very good. Me and my mum had to wait 10 minutes for the burgers to be delivered to the little hut in the stadium. Then when we ate it it was cold and the cheese was just a slice of cheddar cheese on a burger. First away game 1-1 Peterborough v Luton, good atmosphere. BAD FOOD!
V. D. C.
Small but well built stadium. Few steps away from the town centre.
R. L.
Great day today not a bad first game had everything
b.
Decent stadium. Quite aged but not a bad little ground easy to get in and get parked big car park pretty much bang across the road. Well situated, always better when the blades get away with 3 points as well.
N. M.
Cozy small stadium with all facilities. Entry staffs are very helpful.
C. N.
Love the shop ,had all we wanted .
N. O.
Great atmosphere, with cheerful home fans
T. V.
Small stadium where visiting teams can guarantee 3 points. A great away day.
M. W.
Friendly welcome, decent viewing and bars where, despite the fact they were presumably catering for the biggest crowd of the season, had sufficient staff in place to cope with the rush.
G. H.
Visiting as many professional football grounds as possible with my youngsters, serendipity smiled upon our visit here - a very friendly and helpful groundsman granted us a quick look in the stadium and to climb the stands for some photos.
Thank you.
D. M.
Decent venue for that level of football, good match considering it was 0-0. Plenty of effort but not quite good enough for championship, but there are quite a few other teams I would say that about. Posh just unlucky sometimes
G. C.
Hospitality was very good and the cheapest in the championship. Facilities for disabled not to good no lifts from hospitality to your seat only 2 flights of stairs
T. P.
remember sunday markets and skate parks with chef
with regards and thanks
Thomas Matthew
S. H.
Nice football stadium, pleasant staff
M. P.
On this rock... this club perished?
Hope not. But clearly stuck in the lower leagues
P. R.
It was very noisy as expected... Helpful staff.
O. A.
Very warm, friendly and neat environment albeit a small stadium. The fans are generally well behaved and respectful. Petersborough is a cool place to be.
D. T.
Odd place. Old wooden seats, hidden refreshments poorly sign posted.
B. B.
Great facilities. Very welcoming home team, allowing the away team to walk away with the 3 points so easily. Shall return.
C.
Came here for my vaccine. The volunteers appeared to be friendly and listened to my health info when explained to them prior to receiving the correct vaccine. Highly recommend thank you NHS. Would visit the place again.
P. T.
It's my club nomore to say Up the Posh
S. H.
Facilities much better than before. Was in Glebe Road. Food and drink is hit n miss , as is the football team at the minute lol. All in all love the place. Up the posh
C. A.
Always 5* after a win. Hopefully this season many more 5*
J. P.
Away game for FFC saw us come to Peterbrough FC home ground. Clearly a developing club, coming up from lower league. But the stadium is developing, the newer stand is looking good, parts of the stand, especially home end definetly look lower league still. KFC opposite is appreciated. Loads of parking seems available. Lack of bars for away fans is a bit of a downer, but they did give us a fair chunk of the stadium. Seems a friendly, well supported club.
J. B.
The greatest place on God's earth
T. M.
A proper ground, friendly staff and home supporters. Great views from the away end. One of my fav away grounds.
B. P.
League 1 standard stadium, beer for away fans at HT. Not too far from train station. Posh fans had obviously lost their voices when we were the for Fulham game. Get behind your team guys!
G. A.
Well organised ground. Bit better weather cover for the wheelchair users and their carers. Got soaked again as no wheelchair spaces under cover
C. W.
Not a bad stadium at all, showing its age a little but has everything you need.
C. W.
Played there for a works charity match. Very nice stadium nice staff.
S.
Held a company conference for 80 colleagues. Good venue to cater all the needs. Had to cut a star as we had a few technical problems during the day. The staff were attentive and helpful. Free Car park on site.
a. l.
As an away fan: Easy to park. Good view of the pitch. Stadium feels quite old
J. K.
Brilliant place to watch a game of football. Lovely stadium of character. Get behind the team. Up the Posh!
R. S.
Love My season ticket seat just a shame the team is awful no fight or passion. To many pretty boys in the team
s. h.
Daughter loved her first football game at the stadium.. Thank you #Peterborough FC for the free tickets.. She wants to come and watch more!!
J. R. (.
Authentic old stadium. Wooden and iron seats, old steel truss system and girders. Some upright steels spoil the view of the pitch. Toilets are tiny. Cash only for the away fans which was frustrating.
T. R.
Football ground for Peterborough United. Nice little ground.
D. M.
Very canny stadium...traditional with plenty of atmosphere...especially when your team win away. #UTB
F. C.
fantastic atmospere and staff are very pleasant
N. D.
Fantastic stadium for all the family, great day enjoyed the atmosphere and cheering, definitely going again 👍
P. C.
Love going to football and find this old stadium with it's traditional terracing full of atmosphere regardless to how my team are doing
J. P.
enyoyed my visit, home fans made us welcome, good facilities, poor burger tho
J. C.
Ok ... so this was my very first live football experience. Quite not what I expected (in a good way) Front row seats and felt very close to players. Not bad. I would do it again strangely enough coming from a woman who has very little interest in sport.
A. H.
GREAT STADIUM.
What's not to like about the stadium when Posh win? Absolutely nothing. The stadium is a very good EFL League One stadium and has taken a big step forward for the 2019 season. Brand new information screen to match those at better stadiums, brand new outfit for Peter Burrow, even new outfits for the ground staff. All of that shows a professional approach to the business which, I think, will translate to the quality of play on the pitch. Toilets are what you would expect but overall match day at the stadium is something to look forward to.
I. R.
Home of the POSH. Was the 1st time i had been in a few years due to moving out of the area . Sat in the new stand and was impressed with the catering options and facilities. Wide access stairs make it easy to move around.
B. G.
Went to the Weston Homes Stadium today and it was inspiring to see so many visitors. There was a job fair organised by numerous companies. I spoke to a fair number of people who gave information that I will pass onto friends who could not attend. It was my first visit to the stadium and I was lucky enough to meet Gary who gave me a tour of the grounds.
P. T.
Definitely worth to be there, Ive enjoy every single minute.... ok, they lost against Bristol but atmosphere was fantastic....
C. D.
Good old fashioned stadium Good to play a team worse than ours and see an away win
R. H.
Much improved ground, quick service in the bars, good views of the pitch.
h. n.
Watched the posh women with my daughter and she absolutely loved it
C. M.
Great view from the half way line. Great little ground. A bit of the old and new combined.
O. H.
Great hospitality from the club. As my son was a first time fan I emailed the club and they gave us a little tour. My son also got to high five the players as they came out for the warm up. Shame we didn't see a win though!
T. D.
This football stadium is of a reasonable standard. The location is great, parking, trains, accessibility in general is fine. The fantastic conference and business center attached is another great example of resource use in Peterborough. A great circular city, a great place to visit.
M. M.
Old fashioned stadium. Food is ok and the usual football game prices.... Not great seats unless you're in the family stand. Atmosphere differs from each game but mostly quiet.
I. H.
Good ground, great atmosphere although that was really down to the brilliant supporters of SBA
K. L.
Old ground that been restored from 20 years ago very friendly poeple and stewards.good car parking facilities £4 .pub on the corner.we had drink mobile bar in the away end outside no bar in ground half time bar open again outside also decent burger bar outside away end bit pricey £4 30 pint paying this lot place now.£3 program enjoyed the ground town is up the road looks like nice town.only negative thing Peterborough manager Steve Evans don't like that guy.next time I go early and have look round town.ps old wooden seats away fans on the side okay view though
S. R.
Great welcome, good ground to visit. Rare friendly steward's.
D. T.
Old school football league stadium. Loads of character, friendly staff and stewards were great with away fans.
E. J.
Better known as "London Road", the home of the mighty POSH aka Peterborough United. Awful beer, and so is the football sometimes but sometimes you'll see no better. Passionate quiet crowd, and a vocal Chairman. Support a local team not Sky or MOTD.
P. B.
Weston Homes Stadium will forever be London Road. It is home to one of the unquestionably greatest football teams within the United Kingdom. Despite it being hampered by being within driving distance of some awful places such as Cambridge and Northampton, it has regularly overcome this affliction and established itself as the top team within the region and beyond. Family ethos runs throughout the club and the ground is a great day out, the stadium boasts one of the finest standing terraces in modern football. Top notch family day out, city centre location, excellent pubs and travel options within walking distance. A joy to behold.
💙 PUFC
S. R.
It wasn't easy to find nearby parking and none of the stewards had a clue where our seats were, the seating signage was non existent so neither did we! Other than that the atmosphere was great.
I. L.
Good experience, can't be blamed for the England performance or the kid that kicked my coffee over.... or for the weather. Somehow we had fun and will come back with the kids soon.
R. R.
Great experience as an away fan. A ground that knows how to look after supporters whatever team they support!
J. L.
Great family day out the crowd was much bigger than I thought I was going to be always good to support your local team, i feel adult tickets are a little too much for a league one club but they have great discounts for student and OAP fans so that's good food it's a little much aswell but that's what you expect at the football.
P. T.
Half time refreshments tiny area .got served relatively quickly .nobody saw refreshment area .
Could be a huge problem .
Some had views obstructed by metal Staunton's.
Staff freindly.
Car park across road for Peterborough all day £4-00.next to bridge. Town centre 10 minutes walk over bridge.
D. H.
Good venue, good food, good value, cannot complain
J. J.
Great historical ground, love the statue of Chris Turner. Amazing atmosphere, esp from the terraced end
S. M.
Nice friendly ground
J.
Plenty of room for improvement.
The stadium is old, but holds up well.
N. T.
Good stadium with friendly staff. Good food and beverages. Clean toilets. Keep up the good work.
T. B.
Good crack! Friendly staff and decent football to watch.
R. J.
Hadn't been for a few years and a lot of changes have been made. The old away end has been replaced with a new stand. On the whole not a bad experience, and Posh did win.
C.
Great club and location until they revert back to it being "London Road" can't see support continuing. I believe the Chairman does have the best interest of the club in mind but also his business ventures.
B. F.
5 stars because... why not ?
It is The Posh after all ☺️😅
M. T.
Good stadium, pouring with rain before they opened the turnstiles and we were stood in the rain. Would not have been difficult to open the gates earlier. Over to you to Mr Chief Executive.......
R. R.
Only went to Peterborough united ground to see Tom Jones, not a big stadium and toilets very limited for the ladies.
If you go to a concert here you cannot take any good or drinks in, if you want anything you have to buy theirs.....very expensive.
£2-50 for a small bottle of water £5 for a can of beer and £11 for wine didn't have any food.
H. B.
Needs some cash spending ,cost of ticket didn't reflect in my seat.
G. P.
Not been for along time . Had a great time . Great game
D. P.
Tidy ground and decent view for say fans. Not really championship standard though. Easy parking nearby.
H. B.
Home to the best team in the UK and always has a fantastic atmosphere.
N. A.
Peterborough United football stadium. Usual facilities. Well managed by stewards and police.
R. J.
Had a great evening this evening being hosted by ABAX in their corporate hospitality suite. Lovelly pre match 3 course carvey meal followed by some excellent entertainment on the pitch. Thanks once again to James for the invitation.
a. h.
Nice stadium with good facilities. Easily reached from City centre.
C. P.
OK staff appeared to be learning in the box bar but polite
S. M.
Worth going to see the football brill day out
D. H.
Great venue, we saw the Stones, but the logistics of getting away at the end of the show just haven't been considered properly.
P. F.
Nice old football ground. Great staff.
J. H.
Nice that Peterborough gave us this very nice away end. Awesome day, awesome performance by the Sky Blues and sensational support from the Sky Blue Army.
s. c.
Good stadium but old and could do with a new stand both behind the goal and at the side Elton John was great will be back to watch the football
B. B.
It was a free adult/kids match, so loads of people in motorpoint end. Chaos getting in, and before the game started they were running out of food stuff, with massive queues. Hmmm
G. C.
Great place for conferences and job fairs. Friendly helpful staff.
P. R.
Not the result we wanted but a great day out. Stadium has good views and decent atmosphere as well
A. H.
Great venue for a gig
C. E.
Visited the stadium for a concert and I personally feel that it could have been better organised as there was no information in regards to what times the group's were on !!
A. B.
Nice friendly atmosphere in the family stand, and a 4-0 win...not bad for a cold windy day out
D. B.
Went to see Tom Jones at the Weston Homes Stadium the home of Peterborough United. We sat in the new Motorpoint stand which had excellent views of the stage. The food and drink village outside the ground which sold hot dogs fish and chips deep fried haggis hog roast noodles cider lager and there was a pimms and prosecco stand. The atmosphere was great with many joining in with the songs and dancing in the stands.A great night out and will be looking forward to many more events at this venue.
J. B.
No programmes for sale but did get one online the week after.
S. L.
My team won here so obviously i loved the place!. Compact ground. Good facilities for away supporters.
N. W.
I work as a steward and it's a great place to work and everyone is nice
M. H.
Well organised. Great facilities. Clean, pleasant environment.
C. F.
Went for a gig. Expensive drink and food but that's normal. Well organised except no water points and very hot day.
J. 1.
Amazing best place I've ever been. Great stadium and great atmosphere. Just honestly amazing UTP!!! BORO TILL I DIE !!
M. F.
We played a tournament here and the grounds were well presented clean and tidy... Just a shame that they ran out of burgers.
K. J.
Nice stadium and Fulham won which it made it even better .
M. J.
Great day but no beer in ground not good
R. E.
A fairly decent stadium - hasn't changed much at all.
D. W.
Good food and drink options and a wide roomy concourse in the away end. Plenty of legroom and good view of the action
d. b.
Great place, great people and passionate about football.
M. T.
Just sorry they lost but the weather was OK 👍
A. H.
Lovely stadium, lovely atmosphere in particular in the family stand. Well worth the visit, up The Posh!

It is a great stadium if you like to get out and watch Peterborough united play football a great capacity in the Abax stadium.
D. L.
Great experience, just make sure you take cash as half the canteens don't take card.
R. G.
Played a match on the pitch today, really enjoyed the experience
I. K.
Easy stadium to find parking for. Near the city centre so plenty of places to visit, eat and drink before or after.
p. m.
Lots of passion from the posh fans, will go again I love the chant "shoes up if you hate Cambridge" 😆
j. f.
Nice stadium for a small city
A. B.
Always a great place to be good football good food and drinks excellent facilities
T. L.
Spent many many hours here and gone through the whole gamut of emotions. Great old fashioned ground.
K. R.
Some parts of the ground specially the toilets are not up to standard ground can do a revamp and some parties seating is not good
N. O.
Home ground of Peterborough United football club. A massive stadium for Premier league games.
C. S.
Excellent catering and very welcoming staff
M. W.
Stadium very Small, been to better
K. M.
Never a dull moment with the posh... There's always goals... Not for the right team either 🙄🤷♂️
C. J.
Good traditional football ground where it should be, in the town it represents, close people, station and pubs. Not in some field remote from these key elements.
G. F.
Love the posh , stadium has character but an upgrade would be welcomed
M. H.
Proper old ground, shocking on the pitch tonight tho
I. B.
An amazing atmosphere and amazing food at an amazing price, love going to games, up the posh!

M. J.
Nice stadium. Friendly staff. Enjoyed the match.

Quirky ground, shame we didn't get the point. Easy to get to, easy to park, shame we only got a point #cafc
J.
Bar could offer better beer, apart from that all good.
C. A.
Such a nice place! Very spacious indeed! 😊
H. H.
What a night Tom Jones was brilliant and the staff all seemed happy
P. A.
Ok ground nothing to shout home about

Good atmosphere when London Road End is bouncing. Food is expensive though
d. S.
Just love football friendly and helpful staff

Football stadium doubles as a music venue. If you like the music, great.

Great stadium to visit to watch a good game of football.
