Used the badminton courts, had a good time. Easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities are good. There is plenty of parking, and three hours is free which is enough time for most activities you'll be doing there.

Comparatively smaller leisure center compared to other better facilities in the town. Badminton courts, 3 were operational and the nets were new and good. Hall was cold with AC on. Bathrooms are not well maintained.

After reading reviews, I was apprehensive about visiting. However, it's really quite nice. Clearly well used over the years, the decor is worn in places, however the facility is clean and well kept and all facilities are in good working order. The team are very polite and helpful and the members are inclusive and friendly. I paid £17 for a months access to the gym or classes and feel this is great value when you can use any of the 140 classes a week across 3 locations. I would recommend this facility to anyone. I've not used the pool as yet but would expect this to be clean and well maintained also.

We go once a week for a family swim session. The pool is generally quite cold (although in this heat wave I am very happy it is!) so I think it needs more regular temperature checks or maybe put the pumps on so it puts warmer water in. The staff are quite friendly and helpful - all quite young. Sometimes the people on lifeguard duty don't seem too interested or pleased to be there but it never stops us going back.

Good local facility, with friendly staff. Prices a tad on the high end (squash courts) for the quality. Quite dated. Watch out for the car park fee that is applicable, I got fined £60 as no free first hour like Rivermead has.

wanna take your child for amusement and a lot of fun?? then you need to be here. you will never leave unhappy. Each penny you spend stands you a chance to more fun and accessibility to many more interesting moments. Gym is not not left out.

I have only used the gym and swimming pool here so I can't really comment on the other bits like the sports hall and upstairs. When I'm in the building I generally get the feeling that time has not been kind, and that the facility in general is underfunded. This is evidenced by walls and doors that have taken damage have not been painted or replaced in years, there's plenty of stains on carpets and ceiling. I'm the gym you can probably exercise every muscle group with the equipment in there, but only if you come at an off-peak time. In my opinion, the pool is too small, at popular times it is crowded, but nothing can really be done about that. Despite all these things, Meadway Sports centre is cheap compared to privately run places, and you definitely get what you pay for. My subscription is still active however!

Great facility maybe a little worn in the decoration department but the staff are wonderful. Offers courts as well a gym, swimming pool and classes. You can borrow racquets and balls even including short tennis ( just book a badminton court). Membership is great value and you can do it month by month

Only use the swimming pool, but it's pretty good for a swim with a 5yo and 7mo in the family swim times. Pool is not to hot which is nice, and there are usually lots of floats and noodles available to use, but no big floats in the family sessions.

The sports centre, like so many Council facilities, is clearly run on a shoe string and looks tired and run down in places. The gym however has most equipment that you might need and the staff are genuinely friendly.

Swimming good. Parking rubbish really expensive to just go to the pool. not as if there is anything else there.why people would park. And they force you to enter your car registration number in case like a total bastard, you would pass your not fully used ticket to somebody else.

Lovely sports centre, friendly staff, with classes to improve mobility and socializing for over 50's. I have been attending for over a year now and have found the class members to be very friendly and encouraging.

Needs refurbishment, 25m pool, gym, sport halls that facilitate most activities - saving grace is £65 for a 2 hour under 5s party which includes v.large bouncy castle and bits of soft play, in the couple of hours you can decorate as you want, bring your own food, drinks and use of the music facilities - bring a Aux lead for your Spotify!

I only go for swimming, but honestly the pool area could do with a total redecoration, however i would say there is a wonderful receptionist (Maria) who is extremely helpful and an asset to Meadway Sports Centre

The pool is very good I would recomend coming to this pool other then rivermead as medaway pool is a pool you can swim and is not a play pool the changing rooms are clean and I love how you can go for a nice family swim on sundays at 9 or 11
