My kids started out nervous, but the staff are very welcoming and soon made them feel happy. They had a brilliant week and now love sailing. I felt very happy leaving my kids with the staff very professional and security was tight. I knew they were safe and having a good time. Worth every penny

I'd highly recommend SWAC. I have zero experience of being in boats, am in my late 50s, and was quite nervous about doing the 2 day RYA Level 1. The instructor, Jen was excellent...unfailing patient, completely calm even when we capsized it a fair few times. We were taught theory and and tried out boats with 4 of us in, as well as by the 2nd day, we were sailing our own dingys. We're were supplied with everything we needed, from wet suits, spray jackets, etc. There were changing rooms and showers on site. An excellent course, but you do need a decent level of fitness, as you work your legs a lot from constantly changing positions, as well as pulling boats out of the water....we were really knackered at the end of the day! I'd recommend SWAC for their friendly instructors, facilities and variety of crafts.

Completed my Powerboat level 2 course here. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. All equipment such as waterproofs/life jackets was provided. The RIB we used was about 7m long and with a 200bhp outboard it had more than enough poke. There were 3 of us on the course which allowed everyone to get a lot of time driving and with such a small group the instructor could really focus on each aspect of what we needed to learn so nothing felt rushed. Overall a really enjoyable experience.

Highly recommend the RYA Stage 1 & 2 course run by SWAC. The children had so much fun and gained lots of confidence on the water. As novices, there was a few nerves at the start, but by the end of day one they were incredibly upbeat and looking forward to the rest of the week. They're now looking forward to joining the Onboard sessions!

Once again both my children had a great time at SWAC, they were doing an improver sailing course having completed course over the last few years. They are 12 & 13 years old and they both made new friends and enjoyed the course. Russel was their teacher and they learnt lots, The course was well run and very organised. We will certainly be back.... sadly we live in London otherwise we would be there on saturdays and thursday evenings too. Well done to all the staff and thank you!

Had a really good weekend of level 1 training. The equipment and experience of Abi were great, I learned so much. The content was presented in a way that was easy to digest and we had lots of time on the water to have a play with what was taught. Can't fault the place and the people but would have been nice to have a shower on site.

Had a very enjoyable 2 days on "Power boat 1 and 2 course. I had no previous experience so was a bit nervous but needn't had worried as the instructor was excellent..

We booked a two hour sailing session for my husband and my best friend's little girl - as her Christmas present - and it was absolutely brilliant. I've never seen her beam so widely seeing her get off the boat after an amazing session. The instructor was brilliant and both of them were pumped with adrenaline afterwards chatting about everything they'd learned. Highly recommend.

My son just finished a cat and asymmetric course. Loved it. Came home fired up, and that's rare for a teenager! He's done a course every summer for quite a few years, and even noticed that an instructor knew his name, before they'd even started... Was not the easiest to book and courses are a bit limited, but then what isn't in these wierd times. Never had a problem and always got a happy child back.

The course is good value with lots of sailing time and clear tuition. I felt secure and knew that I would be given assistance if I needed it. The venue is good for learning as it's not busy on the water and you are still in the river area. Highly recommend.

I booked for a ‘first flight’ foiling courses and was very well looked after by Jon. The Centre has obviously fully endorsed the Covid guidelines and I felt very safe with all the measures taken. I was fortunate that another student failed to turn-up so I had a fantastic one-on-one experience. We used an RS Aero and Jon very clearly went through the theory before we took to the water. The wind was something like 15-25kts which was more than enough to get airborne! The experience of getting airborne is quite exceptional and left me wanting more. It is a totally new way of sailing and feels like you are learning to dinghy sail for the first time again. I now need more practice on the water and I am looking forward to finding a suitable time to return. Foiling is the way ahead for sailing and anyone thinking about giving it a go really shouldn’t hesitate any longer. Give SWAC a go......

My wife and I needed some training/re-training in dinghies. Matthew provided this brilliantly. After a very focused three-hour session we now feel far more confident with rigging, launching and basic sailing. Many thanks to Matthew and SWAC. Ben and Kelly Field.

Did my sailing course here. Wonderful staff, atmosphere was great and actually learned so much in a condensed period of time. The facility itself is in a prime location however sometimes the shelter from nearby flats, bridge and houses skew the wind but the staff took us out further so not at all a problem. In terms of changing area and equipment, it’s a really fantastic place. Good for all ages!!

Absolutely brilliant place , I did the recreational sailing and I have to say the boats and equipment were plentiful and well maintained and in great working order, and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful.Excellent value for money

SWAC is a fantastic place to learn water sports. They are well equipped with a friendly staff and have a keen focus on safety and fun. I have done numerous courses here for sailing and they have all been great. I rate it 5 star and thoroughly recommend it.
