So much goes on here on a Sunday morning, as all ages play a variety of competitive games. Training sessions are attended and in season the ski slope is open. Dog walkers and their pets meet and enjoy the weather. It is a great outdoor space just to amble around and enjoy the views and fresh air. Parking is not a big concern as there are three nearby free parking areas. There are public toilets and a snack shack.

What a great sporting venue covering a wide range of sports and needs. The staff are so friendly, helpful and kind. I cannot say thank you enough from myself and everyone from Leisure Leagues (largest provider of small sided football in the country) who have been in partnership with The Outdoor Sports Centre and everyone at Active Nation, running a Thursday night 6-a-side league here every Thursday for over 10 years now! Its been a pleasure and thank you for all your hard work and commitment.

I hadn’t been here for years since leaving school, but decided to take a walk with my dog! It is great for dogs, big open fields, plenty of space and loads of bins for open bags! I would say some of the buildings look a bit dated and need updating. Overall good for what I needed, a good walk

Went to the bike park, it's great there, plenty of different trails that are well looked after, all the people I've met there seem to be pretty chilled so it's always a nice experience to ride there :-) the rest of the sports centre offers plenty of space and a wide range of activities to keep everyone occupied and entertained at a reasonable price :-) there's plenty of space to get some fresh air!

Lots of dog walkers, but there are also may other things here for people. From walking to football, bumpy bike track to a dry ski slope. Large areas to picnic on or just walk the paths. Plenty of outdoors space for activities and play areas for the children. Free parking dotted around the area but first come, first served.

Superb outdoor sports area. BMX, tennis, 5 a side, crazy golf the sports centre has it all. Always seems well kept and can be very busy at a weekend or of an evening. There's also a children's play area and a large running track. At least two car parks make this very accessible.

Great place to go with your friends, they have a lot of Astro's such as, football and stuff. They have 4 basketball courts and a massive running tracks. They do cost about a 1.50 to get on but then you can stay on for ages. Good place to walk your dog or just to mess around. Highly recommend

The grounds are great but the facilities are disgusting, Straight from work to play 5 aside as we do every week rain or shine get to the summer and not one drink to buy on site I know people are going to say they have a water fountain but I've seen people wash their hands and dogs drinking from it so I'd rather not.

We did dounutting here and I have to ask one of the staff members was brilliant. He was very helpful, friendly and telling the children how good they're doing. Not sure if he realised my lad was autistic but he was so patient and chatty with him that helped hugely. I'll be coming again hopefully for skiing.

So much choice, it was the 1st time I've ever been down there. My daughter was playing a footy match. I was shocked at how big it was. I'm going to go back to try the donuts down the dry slope as that looked awesome. So much choice, I wish we had something like this in our town

What an amazing place & it was so good too see lots of people using the facilities while I was there. There was a netball competition, hockey matches, football, a cycle group & as we were leaving a cricket pitch was being readied for a game. Also there were athletes training on the athletics track, there is a ski slope & a pleasure park for the youngsters. A brilliant facility that Southampton should be proud of!!!

We are so lucky to have this wonderful outdoor space right on our doorstep and always walk our little dog here which he loves, as do many other dog owners. Unfortunately, many of them are not as thoughtful as us and leave their dog mess behind for other people, children to walk in. This is the reason for four, not five stars. Pick it up!!!!

A great day at Southampton Sports Centre. I went doughnutting with my family and had a great time. You had to pay for gloves at the desk which was £5 a pair and came out to be pretty expensive. Other than that, I had a great day😉

Online booking website is very easy to use.👍 The environment is gorgeous you feel like being in the forest.🌲 Surrounded by trees and hills. All the facilities are very well looked after. There are two car parks, however from 4pm to 7pm you might struggle to find a space. The bar on top of the hill has an amazing views of all the area but not great for anything apart of drinks. Definitely my favourite place to play indoor tennis in Southampton.

This is a great public space and has a great range of facilities including cricket pitches, football pitches, hockey pitches, netball pitches, an athletics setup, a dry ski slope, a bike park and a slightly dilapidated crazy golf course. It’s right next to the municipal golf course as well. The sports facilities are ok (some are a little old and tired looking) but the changing rooms and toilets are old, dated and in poor condition. It feels like a missed opportunity that the facilities are not better. It’s already well used by lots of clubs but it’s hard to imagine that it wouldn’t be even better used if the facilities were improved. The toilets are disgusting. For refreshments there is The Sporting View pub at the top of the hill by one of the car parks but it could do with a cafe or snack bar down by the changing facilities. Overall it’s a great facility to have on the doorstep but it feels like with a little investment (which would repay itself in no time) it could be so much better.

I play netball here every week, the courts get slippery even with the littlest bit of rain though.

Awesome sports centre with huge grounds. Features include multiple playing fields for football/rugby, an athletics outdoor arena including track, hurdles, hammer throw etc. There at least 3 cricket pitches, a off road mountain bike park, a kids play area and of course the Southampton Ski Slope. The dry slope has some great instructors there who are happy to help people of all levels of experience. The sports centre backs onto Southampton Municipal Golf course and is surrounded by a decent woodland for just plain old going for a walk. Overall a great sports complex
