Reviews of Kidsgrove Athletic FC
27/8 Kidgrove Athletic v Glossop North End AFC.
Tier 8 Northern Premier League One West.
£10 entry
Played 4411
Scrappy 1st half. Grove just edged it on chances created. A couple of decent bits of distribution from the Grove keeper to pick out their No11 from where most of the chances came from.
Ht 0-0
2nd half. More of the same from both teams really before Kidsgrove did seem to get the ball down and play abit.
1 -0 penalty to the Grove.
Driving run from centre midfielder into the box, rode a couple of challenges before been upended
With Glossop pushing for the draw and Grove trying to hold on to what they had i don't think the ball saw the grass in the last 10 minutes. Neither keeper had much to do with most efforts been off target.
Ft 1-0
Home support 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Core Grove fans armed with a drum, berated the Glossop keeper which he took in good jest
Football ⚽️⚽️
Hot potato football
Ground 🏟🏟🏟
4 stands all with seating, can see what they're trying to do
Grub 🍺🍺🍺🍺
Decent food and drink on offer and reasonably priced
Total 13/20
We were really impressed by our visit to this ground, the fans were really welcoming and gave loads of support to their team. Also we were plesently supprised by the quality of the club house, toilets and food. Would definitely recommend this to any potential visitors.
I traveled cross country (from Northampton to Kidsgrove) to watch the mighty vale take on the titans of Kidsgrove Athletic in the first pre-season friendly of the 21/22 campaign.
The first football match I had attended in 18 months due to Covid. It's fair to say that the autonet insurance stadium did not disappoint. As kidsgrove live in the Northern Premier League I'll be honest I wasn't expecting much, however the pitch was immaculate, the stands well kept and the clubhouse was a delight.
I met up with 6 mates and and proceeded to the bar. Ale prices were reasonable and despite long cues and an extremely busy environment bar staff were helpful and friendly.
In all, a lovely ground, well kept and well managed.
Very packed, people were served before us even though we were front of the que. Very cold and the fireworks weren't the best.
Not the easiest place to kind but a friendly club with good facilties. An authentic non league place run by good people. Good luck with the rest of your season.
Revisit (but any port in a storm )after intended match postponed. Excellent
I visited for a hired event (birthday) excellent service, reasonable prices, and pleasant staff.
Very satisfies with my patronage to the venue.
The atmosphere at this non-league ground was unbelievable. The fans have really taken to their local team and the noise and jsuppprt shown would make clubs in a higher league Jealous.
The facilities at the ground exceeded what I expected and have experienced at other venues. I had coffee, the staple bovril with friend having a pie all top notch.
I shall be back.and definitely recommend a visit.
Best firework display I have seen for a long time. £4 entrance, absolute bargain. 2 bars and a couple of food vans. Bouncy castle for children, well organised. Thank you.
A great little football club always a pleasure a freindly vale fan.
