We like it here, the rink is great and the staff are great too, but the website for booking is absolutely horrific, I could rebuild the whole thing in a week so you could book in less than 3 clicks, get with the modern times. Your IT department should be embarrassed by that whole checkout process. Staff complain about low numbers, yet they've made it so difficult to book online, and people doin't want to queue for 20-30 minutes with kids to get in.

WOW! last time I was here was 2006 so much has changed from the rundown looking ice rink to a place now worth mentioning, nice staff, clean and cheap parking right next to the rink was kind of disappointed with the old painfull boots that they decided not ever change lol hence the 3 stars but great place for family n friends.

A good visit for my 12 year old daughter and 6 year old son. There were aids for hire £5. Very good for first time. A good 1hr 30m session. You can get snacks and drinks from the cafe. My only gripe is the toilets were dirty and over head pipes were dripping.

It’s a shame they are only doing one hour skating sessions for £6 something. Planet ice do have better value for money in regards to this. Two young female staff with brown hair who are skating marshals are lovely though as is Lauren on the front desk. However some other staff are a bit... unwelcoming I guess? It’s just a shame that you can only have one hour skating sessions with an hour in between to allow for cleaning. But you would think with this hour the ice would be resurfaced to create a barrier between each skating session? Sometimes they zamboni the ice and sometimes they don’t. Theirs no vending machines - which is “okay” as it’s not owned by the rink, but theirs also no cafe. So make sure you bring food and drink with you. As someone who struggles with blood sugar levels, I sometimes forget a drink and I get the rink with crashing levels. Is it worth having the machines back in use or? 😬 In terms of the rink. It is a lovely rink, but SOME of the staff (not all!) aren’t very friendly looking and with the one hour skating sessions and lack of overall facilities. It’s not the best value for money. I’ve heard attendance is low lately? It may be wise to decrease the prices further or increase the time on sessions. As a few people have mentioned this is why they aren’t going much lately.. unfortunately, myself included. However!! The rink is lovely

Great venue. We have been ice skates a few times and also recently.to watch the Telford Tigers. All staff very helpful and friendly. Good facilities too. The cafe for a hot drink after is fab 🙂

I visited for my Weekly ice hockey training sessions with the Cosford stars. Ice is always in great condition, fast and dry.

I really enjoyed going on a weekday, it was almost completely empty and we had a great time. my only issue was the booking, it was so difficult to figure out how the website worked to the point where I was going to look for somewhere else to go. and it would have been nice if they offered free penguins for beginners rather than for £5 for my friend. but overall we had a really good time :)

See the website to see the timetable! But they have public ice skate and in the price the rent of the shoes are included. The session is too long too, so enjoy it! You can book your place online or there and if you are a student you have discount, as well, if you have less or 16 years!

Very good. We went to use the softlay but because I hadn't checked on the website I didn't realise there were set times. With only 20 minutes left I decided (as I'd qued for a while) to just go in for the last 20mins of the session (I was a bit fed up with this) but the lovely girl behind reception let us in for free. Lovely place. Nice ice rink. Only loses a star due to the comfort of the ice skates. This is an issue with all rinks due to the plastic shoes. However, it didn’t spill out visit.

We went to the soft play at the ice rink.. was very nice cheap and u get around hour plenty of time for the little ones to burn out their energy plenty of climbing and slides from small to long ones to round tunnel slides

Absolite great place too go for some relaxing fun been back and fourth over the years and bring my kids skating as and when I can I personally don't have any faults with any off the staff or the ice rink the play areas great for children and for the adults too have some relax time whilst the kids can run up and down its very secure. Lovely hot food from the cafe. Also been a good few times too see Telford play ice hockey great atmosphere 👌 so when its back open go and get yourself down there.

My first visit to this venue and the first time I've donned ice skates for 35 years. Thoroughly enjoyable too, although we didn't choose the best time to visit; the Sunday of the half term weekend. I can't comment on the catering as I didn't use them, but the road signage for traffic needs improving drastically - thank goodness for Satnav! The venue itself is good in my limited experience, will call again.

Telford ice rink really is great and we're lucky to have it on our doorsteps... unfortunately a couple of the older ladies that work on reception appear to have been trained by the gestapo! Very very rude people and I think if they no longer enjoy their job perhaps they could get a job kicking puppies or pushing blind people into traffic.

Telford ice rink was a great place to skate and is especially fun with your friends. The staff were helpful and welcoming. However the one thing I will complain about is the lack of 'bars' around the ice skating rink. There is virtually nothing for inexperienced skaters to hold onto, which just makes our job much much more difficult. I would highly insist they fix this issue.

Let's go Tigers! Great little rink and surprisingly warm for the fans watching. If you're in and around Telford on a Saturday or Sunday night make sure you pop by to see the Tigers play! Be quick though, unfortunately there isn't a huge number of seats.

The rink is well presented, and has good seating area. There are modern toilet facilities, and a café, all in the warm. Never been to the skate shop so can't comment on that. The only downside is that the parking is paid in a multi-storey car park tucked round the back.

Great rink good size but staff don't seem friendly they do help if needed but all the fun has gone from them.wheelchair viewing is not brilliant. You need a member of staff to open lift door for you then wait while that person runs upstairs to press the button to move lift up and open door for you to get out. Then you find the space to park yourself which is fine then ,you problems start again when you need a member of staff to get down again wave your arms and shout if you are on your own or ask a nother person to go find a staff member. That side of it is very poor.

Good Ice rink, fairly priced with a good amount of boots in stock to borrow. Plenty of parking around in and a nice shopping centre to look round afterwards. Food is nice here and a good half a day out for family just in the ice rink with plenty to do outside afterwards.

Well, this is a strange experience. It seems to have been under development forever and the progress is certainly slower than the progress with its resident ice hockey team, the Telford Tigers. I can review it as a hockey venue only. I have never skated there. It is a low-capacity rink and away fans can expect less than 150 seats to be allocated on busy nights. This is relatively new thing as Tigers were short of fans until the new owners spent a lot of money buying a competitive team but this will probably build over time. The facilities are odd. They look modern (the design being a little like Googlesque in places) and then a bit 90s in the pad area itself. It is colder than many rinks (for spectators!) and the refreshment facilities are about average for an EPL rink. In short, it'll probably be nice when it's finished. If it ever is.

Staff are nice and rink is decent enough but its all focussed on ice hockey, who get daily options for training for hours, figure skating get half an hour lesson and an hour to practice skate, it really is not a lot of time at all. Is this just a money making scheme? Figure skaters need to practice too you know, not even much options for public skating lets be honest about it. Who also keeps an eye on the ice because I have never seen an ice marshall and rules for on the ice too.

Telford Tigers! The fans, the team the atmosphere are great. The service for a sporting event is terrible. Come and watch the hockey but be prepared to bring your own snacks and drinks if you don't want to miss any of the action. Telford and Wrekin council boooooo! Well situated ice rink with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby , large carpark to the rear of the rink . There is a shop inside the rink that has well priced equipment for all ice sports and the staff are happy to help
