Watched my daughter play at Worcester Hockey Centre last weekend. Lovely pitches, the main building is not finished yet, but looks like it will be very good when the work is complete. Spectating is from outside the pitches and there’s no place that I could see where there’s a viewing area with a waist-high barrier so we needed to peer through the fence. Given the facility this seems a bit of an oversight.

Two new waterbased pitches, with TV quality lighting, the pitches are laid side by side with high fences between to protect spectator's watching. Large run off areas too. Lights are angled a bit too far down, the nighttime cross field aerial, even with a white ball, was able to be lost in the night sky! Pitch still bedding in so bouncy and bobbly, but very fast, which is a real plus, or perhaps home advantage playing against teams used to the more pedestrian sand filled/dressed beaches that many a club have. Turf is aggressive, so expect to leave skin behind if you go for the hero slide. Changing facilities are still being built, but once done this will be an awesome venue.
