Great venue. We went for Reflex dance comp and we had a brilliant weekend. Hopefully will be the same venue next year.

This is a fabulous venue for badminton. Great wooden floor, high ceiling, good lighting, plenty of space either end of the courts. The 9 courts are all in one line, which I have never seen anywhere else. When you first enter the hall, it appears very dark, but this is misleading as the lighting is perfect for badminton. It is only 5 minutes walk from York Train Station. I always travel from London by train as it's only 2 hours.

As a member of staff due to the COVID-19 and lockdown I can announce that this place will never reopen to the public ever again. Unless you are a permanent member of the Badminton Clubs, Squash and Judo on a weekend. Also it only opens from 17:00 hours to 22:00 hours Monday to Friday.

Best Badminton venue! Nine wood floored courts for casual hire and all levels of competition play. Monday / Wednesday feathers club are league champions. A great place for some exercise with friends, plus a bar for the post-match analysis. (Many other sports also available here - check the website for details.)

Invaluable inexpensive place to play sports, music and general activities. Ideal central location next to the train station for holding competitions and events. I've been going since I was 12. I'm now 24. The staff are very down to earth, friendly and genuinely invested in what they do. There's also a bar/social area now with pool tables. Highly recommended for any age and ability.

Good weights gym, there is everything you need in there for a strength workout. The atmosphere is friendly and it's good value for money. Very handy as well being just next to the station.

It's a great place for badminton. There are other sports activities there, such as squash, but we only use the place for badminton, so I can't comment on the other facilities.

Sporting venue is superb. The wooden badminton area is easily the best in the country. Facilities are fantastic, accept parking is limited.
