The food is so lovely and tasty. I’ve never had such amazing food cater my food allergies. It’s presented so well. I’ve not been disappointed at all. The pictures talk a lot.

Lovely place, nice staff and wonderful coffee and atmosphere. IWISH they open for more hours

Enjoyable relaxing lunch. Superb food, great variety to suit all tastes.
C. B.
Great location and lovely relaxed and comfortable interiors. Staff are pleasant and happy - service is relaxed and with a smile! We were offered top ups for a pot of tea and the food came out piping hot and absolutely delicious. Save room for dessert. They have a great range and you have the option to take a sweet treat home with you if you've over indulged over lunch or dinner!

Loved this place. Extensive menu. I was only there for morning coffee and a pastry yummy ! Atmosphere relaxing even though they were really busy.
L. R.
Very enjoyable visit with quality traybakes and various little cooking accompaniments.
S. K.
The food were excellent as were the staff. We were sat by a couple of people who nothing was right for ("my poached egg is runny and I am not happy, despite not specifying when I ordered it that I wanted hard yolks") and the staff never grumbled or complained, just went about trying to please them. Arguably too good a service!

🌟 An excellent food store: bread, pastries, coffee, milk, ice cream, meats, fishes, chorizos …
🌟 serves breakfast & lunch, nice coffee .
🌟 seats available inside and outside. Seats beside windows guarantee a nice view.
🌟 A beautifully decorated store. Feeling peaceful sitting inside.
🌟 Friendly staff.

Stylish, excellent food. Impressed.

Not for me this one, food was ok, limited menu choice but had to order and pay by smart phone which for someone my age and limited ability was a major hassle lol. Took me longer to order and pay than it did to be served and eat the food. Def one for young or tech savvy people only
J. C.
Style over substance. Food looks great but the flavour just wasn't there.
S. (.
Nice place for breakfast but haven't been there later.

Always good service and great food and coffee.

Their bread is great, but the service not so much. The queues are long (due to inefficiency, not demand). I ordered two take away pancake stacks, got home to find they have given us the wrong order and won't answer the phone (three attempts) to do anything about it so I guess I'll make my own lunch and throw the £12 in the bin. Not the best use of my lunch hour and certainly did not achieve the desired effect of cheering up an already miserable Friday.
Edit: After reaching them via email they offered a generous discount code as an apology for the mix up with the order, so updating from one to four stars, since the bread is excellent and the service is working to improve. Perhaps when we get to try the dishes we ordered they might even get to thier fifth star.
N. P.
Really nice and average coffee and scones. Bit annoyed at the order system. Anyway nothing too special but also wasn’t terrible.

A change in my new taste buds. I loved it.

Absolutely very good food

Love French Village. One of the best brunch spots in Belfast. Their chicken & waffles is my absolute favourite! I love it so much that I never get to try their other menus 😂 Coffee and cupcakes are also amazing! Highly, highly recommend this place!
S. B.
Long wait but gave us drinks on the house to compensate. Great customer service and beautifully presented food. Tasted just as good! Worth the price 😋

This is a beautiful and very charming restaurant. It has a beautiful quaint environment and projects an intimate setting. It is in the centre of Belfast making it very accessible to all. When you first walk in you are met by the most pleasent smells of freshly baked traybakes, food and roasted coffee. You are always met by a very hospitable member of staff who is more than happy to recommend things to you. The food is mouth watering and is presented beautifully, I have yet to have a bad meal here or experience. I would definitely recommend French village and look forward to my next visit.

The redesign of this cafe is fab, offering bakery goods made by French village but also meats, cheese, breads, chutneys etc which are made locally. They also have Memento flowers too, my favourite flowerist in Belfast! Currently there is still some seating inside but mostly outside for the cafe, they mostly offer coffees and cakes but have a selection of fresh sandwiches, sausage rolls etc on offer too.
A. 8.
Quite nice and fine breakfast experience... Everybody gentle and helpful... A big joy everytime I visit the village ;)
G. M.
Great food! Amazing french toast!!
A. O.
Found this place by accident, would eat my lunch here everyday if I could. Lovely food and very cheap for the serving sizes/quality
P. B.
Very busy and popular restaurant. An excellent fry plus a good healthy food selection.
At busy times you will have to wait for a table.
Newly refurbished, bright, airy and relaxed atmosphere.
Staff are excellent, service always good.

D.
Nice little place for a breakfast or brunch. Very good quality food, but there is usually a wait to be seated and it can get very busy.
R. D.
Great food, pastries and coffee. Good service but the restaurant can be quite cramped and the seating isn't the most comfortable. They cater for events too and they have a nice selection.
L. M.
First class food and brilliant service. An unexpected great find.
B. L.
Great food, bit pricey. Some staff were a bit unfriendly
C. M.

I've been a fan of the French Village for decades - they even made my wedding cake - so it's great to see that it continues to serve excellent food. Staff are good too and the restaurant is comfortable. Recommended
N. S.
Really good food here, using local produce. We went as a table of 4 and we all loved it.
S. P.
Went for coffees and dessert. Super tasty drinks and cake and great service but a tad on the pricey side.
T. T. G.
Service was amazing with very polite waiters. The food was gorgeous with a wide range for vegetarians and people with allergies. The atmosphere was excellent with comfortable chairs and impeccable hygiene.
I went again today and the waiters were as polite as always. The were very good about my allergies and I had an absolutely amazing trip out for lunch. I recommend French Village as a great place to eat, whether you are going with friends, family or just by yourself.

Excellent food and service in a relaxing atmosphere
K. C.
Had an really delicous Sunday brunch here. All the food looks and tastes amazing! Roast dinners started to be served as we left and they looked incredible too. Seems to be a very busy place.
A. R.
Great place, service and ambience. Hugely enjoyable late breakfast (up to 1145hrs). Highly recommended. We had nibbles and wine here on Saturday, which was also excellent.
D. O.
Food, service, and decor excellent, great value for money.

Visited the Lisburn Road venue in the pouring rain for a coffee and croissant.
Very helpful and pleasant waiter took my order and another member of the kitchen staff delivered my order.
Convivial atmosphere and good food.
T. M.
Great place for lunch. Simple enough menu but very tasty. Roughly £10 for lunch n a cuppa tea. No point booking on a Sunday, none taken. Be prepared to wait a bit but well worth it.
M. M.
Great spot with lovely staff for afternoon lunch and catching up with friends. Bread and other delicacies to take away.
L. O.
So delicious and gourmet style! Loved the upscale atmosphere and great staff!

Called in here for breakfast and I must say that the food was delicious and service was great. I would recommend trying the waffles and would return again.
Only negative was the kitchen doesn't start serving food until 10am which we weren't advised of when being seated.
R. M.
Great place for food! Brunch here is awesome and great coffee too!!
p. b.
Definitely recommended, especially for breakfast brunch!
Great selection of dishes for both breakfast and lunch but I have to say the porridge, granola and baskets in the morning made the difference.
Nice staff completes the picture

Lovely coffee and scones but would have enjoyed it more being seated in a brighter area, very dark, more suited for evening meals.

Was in restaurant on Friday night 14th oct 2016. food and service was excellent.
E. C.
We went there as a group of 4 and 2 kiddos on a busy Sunday morning. We were waiting for a table for about 15 minutes but the staff kept updating us on the progress on when we will be seated. We have got two highchairs and seats for the adults in a really pram and child friendly table. The staff were friendly and very quick to serve our food. The food was very reasonably priced and delicious. We have sat for a while after we finished and staff was happy enough to accommodate us and didn't rush us out. The toilets were clean and had a big changing area for babies. I would definitely highly recommend it to everyone.
M. R.
Have been three times to French Village over last few months for lunch & dinner. It is my favourite place to eat! Staff are first class, very knowledgable of all choices on menus & deliver excellent service. Food is exquisite! Chowder & Curry are best in town in my opinion!
M.
Hash Breakfast is one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had.
Couldn’t recommend it more.
N. R.
Superb food, nice atmosphere.
F. M.
The menu had changed recently when I went with my family, the vegetarian options had decreased. The portion sizes were very small given the price. Such as the beetroot veggie, goats cheese option. Expensive and to use a colloquialism, wouldn't fill a hole in your tooth.
M. E.
Great food and a choice of sunshine outside or airport inside. Couldn't be better!
P. G.
Never been in French village but won't be the last time lovely look inside staff were very nice and helpfull coffee and macaroons were really lovely
S. D.
French Toast is amazing! Fantastic service. Gorgeous surroundings.
M. M.
Excellent food with excellent staff.
J. H.
A bit wanky, but friendly staff, good coffee.
C. F.
To my liking the coffee was ok but I was there for breakfast an I fell like I was in Monte Carlo but not for the fine more the price. Blueberry pancakes or try and doesn't look appealing a small bit of cream go a long way.
L. H. L.
Very lively atmosphere paired with classy deco. Food is reminiscent of home cooked food. Service, however, could be better. It felt that they were worn out thin and demoralised.
M. D.
On a warm sunny morning having breakfast outside was a great way to start the day. The traffic may have been heavy passing by but wasn't a distraction from the food and service.
G. K.
Great food. Good service.
G. P.
Best lunch out in a long time
L. B.
Love the smoked salmon special breakfast. Best brunch I've ever had!
I. B.
This is a fancy place with wired and wonderful patisserie. Very expensive but exquisite
S. B.

A. C.
Good atmosphere and very efficient staff!
j. m.
Fabulous food will be back soon 👌
R. C.
Went to meet the family. Coffee and cake, great
B. B.
Nice, but just a bit expensive. Over £16 for 3 coffees and 3 small pastries!
L. S.
Great service and fantastic cake. Will definitely use again
N. F.
I love this place, the best espresso in Belfast I'd say and the selection of home made pastries and cakes are irresistible. And the staff couldn't be more friendly.
G. M.
Fantastic spot for a bite to eat, and the prices arent bad either!
B. M.
love french village.. lisburn road..so classy and lovely food...my only reason for not giving 5 stars is something that ruins my whole experience every time..the noise from the chairs scraping on the floor everytime they are moved..i recently took a friend for lunch for her birthday and again it was so irritating. have u ever thought of a stick on velvet disc..I use them at home. the chairs are too heavy to lift so scraping them is all i can do. ..otherwise i love the restaurant.
C. C.
Delicious brunch. We arrived early and sat in the window with the sun shining in. I love the interior - think cool greys and blues with tiling and splashes of metal. The staff were friendly and attentive, especially Sarah, she was very chatty and pointed me in the right direction with food.
Coffee was great, and the food itself was a delight. I had challah French toast with blueberry compote and cinnamon cream - a nice twist on a standard brunch dish. Light and fluffy and so so good. My wife enjoyed the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - a generous portion, and worth every penny.
C. C.
Love the new food store. Great range of fresh produce and cooked breads.
C. M.

J. N.
Beautiful food and delicious patisserie
G. M.
Best sausage rolls, any and all flavours
M. Z.
Good food options. But the coffee is a hit and miss.
D. T.
I’m not sure if the French regard chilli as a breakfast staple but this venue does. Excellent service, strong coffee and over spiced beans and sausage. M the breakfast was pleasant but no more. The chillis in the beans completely overwhelmed everything else.
Hand churned butter in the tiniest most impractical container possible.
p. o.
Their charcuterie board is world class. They have very friendly staff too.
S. M.
The pork belly waffle is so good! Cappuccino could be hotter and the potatoes in the hash of the day crispier, however flavours are amazing!
J. C.
My favourite place to eat, their breakfast menu is the best in Belfast. Lovely lunch and dinner options with lots of specials so you're not constantly seeing the same old menu items. Lots of competition for business on the Lisburn Road but French Village is consistently good - good food, good service, good vibe!
N.
Lovely place a little over priced
E. R.
Delicious brunch. We arrived early on a Saturday morning (brunch doesn't start until 10am though!) and sat in the window with the sun shining in. I love the interior - think cool greys and blues with tiling and splashes of metal. The staff were friendly and attentive, though a little slow to bring our bill in the end. Coffee was great, and the food itself was a delight. I had challah French toast with blueberry compote and cinnamon cream - a nice twist on a standard brunch dish. Light and fluffy and so so good. My sister enjoyed the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup - a generous portion, and worth every penny.

Lunch on Sunday 18th August with 3 in the party . The squid was delicious, Chicken wings Korean style were superb and the char grilled burger was excellent.
Staff were very helpful , in particular explaining the potency of the sauce with the chicken wings.
O. I.
Got the pork belly waffles, ABSOLUTELY beautiful
J. W.
Fantastic food and athmosphere
J. M.
We chose from the set dinner menu, which seemed reasonable value. Unfortunately the choice of starters was unsuitable, meaning we went for 2 courses at £18 rather than 3 for £22. I had a rather pork belly but the portion of potatoes with it was on the small side. The air conditioning was rather vigorous meaning that my meal got cold too quickly. It did seem that the air conditioning was unnecessary but they declined to adjust it. I enjoyed my dessert of chocolate hazelnut brownie with ice cream.
A. N.
We popped in here for breakfast after a night out in Belfast to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it was just the perfect way to end our brief time away. I had the French village breakfast and my wife had the breakfast board. I'm sorry I've no photos but when you set a feed like that down in front of me I don't generally hang around admiring it and taking pictures! It might not seem like much from the description on the menu but let me tell you, you'll not need lunch in a hurry. My wife had a beautiful croissant and here's a thing, our coffee was hot and stayed so nearly too the last drop. It might seem odd but it's amazing the number of places that can't achieve such a simple task. Staff are brilliant; friendly, helpful, efficient. A great addition to the burgeoning Belfast restaurant scene.

On the pricey end of the spectrum, but very nice
