Reviews of Lidl
The store is a bit disorganized and hard to find since the address tagged in Google maps is the back entrance but other than that the selection is good and it is conveniently located next to our hotel. We managed to find the basic necessities we always buy when travelling like milk, almond milk, fruits and water.
I've moved most of my main shopping to Lidl.
They have a great range of good quality products & the Lidl Plus app gives really good deals.
Convenient and hassle free supermarket. Close to waterfront and in the middle of town. Lots of choices. Staff are helpful and friendly. Their bread section is probably the best. Fresh baked goods and good value for money.
Pretty much everything you'd need from a supermarket, including fresh fruits and bakery. Everything is keenly priced as you'd expect from Lidl.
Good quality products and competitive prices, friendly staff as well.
Well assorted but rather busy Lidl
Always love this place. You get some sudden surprises with some new useful stuffs one or the other time. Apart from that all regular households items are bit cheap. Lidil has brought the loyalty card but not that useful
Great prices for day to day stuff, their bakery is better than some fancy cafe's. Try the chocolate muffins. Love the new fresh orange juice machine. I wish they had home delivery.
It was busy and the staff are great. The guy on the till was so funny, his one liners are so quick and his giggle is infectious, I really hope the staff do have a great Christmas and over indulge with some alcohol if that is their choice.
Oh and the wine selection is great and very easy on the wallet.
😁😁❤️❤️🎅🎄🥂🍻
Great grocery store. Super affordable and convenient.
Great to have a real supermarket in the city centre after all these years. Always well stocked, always busy. Expect queues at lunchtimes!
Good location good spot. Tho one thing the staff are so slowww at the tills they take forever to serve one person and queue is massive half the time. Self service till would be ideal in this store
Great stuff for small Mice Prive. Dont look furthrr 4 Groceries. nothing beats Lidl on Belfast
Nice staff wish there was a larger range of meat substitutes. Something like quorn chicken would be cool or some tofu
Its a nice shop, you get what you need but it's very busy and alot of people are in it, wouldn't mind going back there again
Busy, but efficient staff
10 or less items for checkouts never open
It is not huge but they have a broad range of products. Although it's always busy, it's not too crowded. The staff are accommodating, and the security guard is charming and chatty. They keep the place well-ordered and tidy. In some cases, the stock is better than the store in the mainland UK.
I like the variety of foods and that a lot of local products are being offered. However, I don't like all the plastic packaging. A cucumber does not need to be in plastic, it has its own protection already! More loose vegetables and fruit which can be purchased either loose or in paper bags. That will increase sustainability. Until packaging is charged I can only give 3 stars
Best experience today in Lidl store Belfast. Was having a bad day and staff and customers just cheered me right up in these hard times. Made me laugh and feel like some people in this world are still nice genuine and caring people. So lidl keep up the amazing service you definatley brightened up my dull day 😊😊😊😊❤
I like this store but i have one comment about the long life milk, i need a whole cow long life milk which is not available, every time i checked i found the skimmed and i dont like it, please provide the long life whole cow milk
Great store, has majority of things of what you need for daily stuff...and sometimes very random items in the middle row. Inside they have Amazing bakery, which is my favourite! Definitely recommend this store.
Quite simply the best place to do your shopping. Good range at a standard equal to, and often higher than, the 'big' stores. Honestly, it is only snobbery that would make anyone choose the ridiculously overrated M&S over Lidl. The prices are generally way below elsewhere. And often you will find some brilliant non-food bargains too. Friendly also, if sometimes chaotic! Can you tell I love Lidl?!
Good variety. I do my shopping here regularly. Gripes are; wheelie baskets are always dirty, usually something exploded or people leave busted fruit or juice in it. The wheels are usually broken.
They sometimes get in nice stuff in, then you never see it again for months when it runs out of stock. So can be a bit inconsistent regarding their stock items.
I hate how the conveyor belt for the tills are about 15ft long yet the area after your item is scanned is about 1ft long and 1 ft wide. It can only hold about 4 items. Worst is when you've loads of items and the staff keep scanning and pushing your stuff to make room for the next item, pressuring you to hurry up and pack your stuff.
Don't let them pack your bags or your stuff will be squished.
Generally good, tried to get hot chocolate drink from vending machine, cup one third full, got staff, like watching a bunch of headless chickens running around, after filling up chocolate, no tea , then no one could get machine up and running. 10 mins later gave up. Felt lucky to get money back.
+
Provides Fresh stock of Fruits, vegetables and dairy products.
I love their coconut flavoured yogurt.
-
Their cereals are not good compared to Tesco's products however they do provide huge range.
Went on new years eve and was being rushed out by the security guy, fair enough. However the guy on the till was absolutely hilarious. Character assasinations, risque comments and general hilarity ensued. Made a dull boring shop into a laugh-fest!
Another great Lidl store right in the middle of the city. Great selection of products. Don't judge a book by it's cover, the store is quite big inside, although it doesn't look like it from outside. The service is very quick. Although some customers are useless and hold everyone up. Overall, I like coming here, they have everything I need, and probably for you too.
The usual offering of good quality products at low prices with the usual selection of 'one off' special offers. All in all a better than usual shopping experience.
Good value and great range of products. Staff patient, courteous and helpful. More checkout staff in the evening or self service checkouts would be welcome. Class bakery too.
This is a great Lidl, good size, well stocked and has plenty of fresh fruit, veg and bread/pastries.
I have been here a number of times and have always picked up what I was looking for at a typically Lidl good price.
Well located for bus access and walking in. Also near a carpark.
Very speedy checkout assistants that are capable of scanning your shopping at a speed which is much greater than you can ever pack.Ridiculously rude of them not even to ask if you would like some help to pack. After buying your weeks shopping it is the very least that they could do.Asda is the only supermarket with any kind of customer skills. So sad 🙁
The smell of the Lidl bakery on the way to the office is the devil's work and it's hard not be be tempted when I feel the craving for a toffee yum-yum everyday. Luckily my self loathing about my increased waistline is counter balanced by their brilliant products, prices and customer service. I'm so happy we moved offices to be closer to you Lidl 😁
the best deals on fresh produce and groceries. after trying all the chains of supermarkets in Belfast, we found lidl to have the freshest stock and lowest prices (for the same level of quality!). it's very popular so the tills are pretty busy at all hours.
Everything lovely as always :)
Love this shop. Can buy so much without being out of pocket too much. I used to shop here all the time in The Netherlands too. I just wish they sold tobacco here too like in The Netherlands and Germany.
Well, you can find stuff from all over Europe at reasonable price. The quality may not be the highest but definitely edible.
Lovely place. Always good food from European countries and amazing drinks. Alcohol is just the best you can get especially on a tight budget without compromising on quality.
Good shop
Great shop good variety of foods + bread freshly baked . They stock everything from a hammer to children's clothing . Their meat is tender and very reasonably priced Staff are very helpful .
Staff are friendly & polite.
Lidl is actually nice. But don't get choice for vegetables. Like, don't get ready cut vegetables. The service is nice. We get most daily items like Milk, Yoghurt, Bread etc from here.
Love going to Lidl, they always have great bargains and the most random selection of products (especially thursdays) always get what I need and it's very cheap. The meat from here is great and their sweetie stuff is sooo good. I would go in here for 1 or 2 things and come out with 10. One down side is that there is usually only 1 or 2 people on the tills each time and so.etines it takes a while to get through the checkout. But other than that 5*
Staff lovely, not over priced good selection of food stuffs and not over crowded
Good craic had by all, great place for watching homeless people shoot up outside, not a bad spot for a bargain pair of knock off crocs either
Very good value for money
It's Lidl. No-nonsense bargains, but limited range. This branch can get quote busy at lunchtime and after work, but they always try and open as many tills as possible, and have recently added 3 quick-service tills for shoppers with few items.
Pretty standard Lidl. The pastries on display were clearly out all day and rock hard. Beyond that it's like any other Lidl you've ever set foot in.
Nice shop: cheap prices and good products. Despite there being a lot of people queueing to pay, the queue flowed really fast. The shop is well organised and they have a good variety of meat and ham.
Great prices, friendly staff, easy access, great variety.
I find Lidl in high st to be a very good store. I always get what I want there and it never takes to long to get served. Staff are very pleasant. And prices are very good. Couldn't fault it.
Excellent food products especially fruits and vegetables at really competitive prices.
Love this place. Very handy on my way home from work. Staff on checkouts are fantastic always smiling and friendly.
Staff are exceptional, polite and professional especially Katie and Patrick. The only problem is the express tills aren't open at times for people with fewer items.
Cheaper than most of the other supermarkets in the city, and a wider variety of products as well.
Where else can you buy milk, eggs, soy sauce, and a 3 piece auger drill set?
Call in most days for lunch stuff. Bakery section is brilliant, always stocked. Tills are normally busy, but they always fly through folk to get them out.
Good place for quick shopping with wide range of products for example food including fresh baking, flowers, clothing, tools.l like their weekly national food offer for example French,Greek or German and many more delicacies .
Large City store with exactly what we needed.
Nice staff, wide aisles for accessibility, convenient location. Did not take long to get through the check out.
Always a bit snobby about branded food but the bakery here is outstanding. Service in every Lidl slow but it's a discount food place so can't complain about that too much.
Hello everyone I'm new to the review process but here goes nothing lidl is a good clean establishment for shopping for the family there is plenty of choice for everyone but there is no café no toilets it is only for food and limited clothes and household items you can browse all you like then when you get hungry or tired just pop up the street to any of the eating places like Brights.
I love Lidl. You can save loads of time because you can go to any Lidl store in Europe and they will have mainly the same products, stored in the same places. I would pay to shop like this. Good value too.
Oh lidl, there isn't much to say you're the same no matter if you're in Denmark or in Belfast.
However one thing must be said you make really really really good cookies and croissants and your Bake-Off selection is great.
I would highly recommend that you check the cheese bread or Bun or whatever they call it
Staff doing a tremendous job considering the current situation. Serving the community well. Keep up the good work.
Cheap prices for tasty food and of course great beer offers if you fancy trying something you won't get anywhere else.
It's good that the layout is the same in all of them making it a stress free trip especially on lunch break.
I love lidl. Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. The frozen food is nicer than Iceland. I shop most weeks
This shop has everything at a good price also a great variety of food from around the world .Would recommend a visit.
Great value, got myself some granola with double the quantity compared to Tesco at more than third the price off.
Good competitive prices for the area. A wide range of products on offer despite being a smaller Lidl store.
It is nice, lots of space to move around inside.
Great shopping reasonable priced friendly service.
Great value for money and has a great selection of different products every week.staff our friendly and courteous
Okish supermarket. Good location, a bit busy. If someone likes Lidl from other european country, he's gonna appreciate that the range of products is nearly the same.
If I compared with one of the branchin Ireland then here is more options but bit pricey
The girls behind the till was really friendly to myself and knew some of the customers in the que by name which is a rarity these days.
Nice place for shopping. The bakery items are very tasteful. Also prices are very reasonable.
Lots of fresh vegetables, freshly baked bread and rolls, ready meals, salad stuff, frozen food, also grocery and off-sales. Plenty of variety, worth checking out.
Fairly large lidl not far from the centre of Belfast city centre, beside a carpark so ideal to pick things up from before heading home.
Haven't been there
Very good place to shop when I go first place I head for is to get treats for my dog there fruit loaf is first class and there is something to suit everybody shopping needs
I have to say that all the staff in the high street branch could not be More helpful, as a disabled person they give me a lot of help beyond what they're supposed to, I go this store at least three times a week and not one complaint would I have.
Good shop , nice staff , conveniently located in city centre.
Love lidl but they need better tills they are too small to put the food on and it always puts me off going in to shop
It's very good for shopping and they have lovely staff, I go often.
Competitive prices, great selection, some handy items in the "random stuff" aisle. Excellent bakery section.
Great Lidl store in the heart of the city centre. Love the instore bakery and staff are always very helpful and friendly. Only downside is that its a smaller store.
Nice clean store. Bakery good. They often don't have walnuts though.
Lidl Stiftung & Co. KG (German pronunciation:[ˈliːdl̩]; UK: /ˈlɪdəl/ LID-əl), formerly Schwarz Unternehmenstreuhand KG, is a German global discount supermarket chain, based in Neckarsulm, Germany,[1] that operates over 10,000 stores across Europe and USA. It belongs to the holding company Schwarz Gruppe, which also owns the store chains Handelshof and hypermarket Kaufland.
Good store. All what you need, reasonable prices. I like the bakery shop most
Love shopping in Lidl, staff are so friendly and helpful.
No complaints other than it's very small compared to some lidls and there was no trolleys!
Brilliant range, always busy, well stocked, but problem at tills, some times never enough on, or else this would be 5*s
The best value supermarket. Best for fruit and veg. Also love the theme weeks.
Handy city centre location, quick queues and good staff. Also accessible by stairs or lift from the multistory carpark above.
Great place to shop. Friendly staff and a great choice for stuff to buy.
Nice shop for most of grocery need
Great produce..competitive prices and some great offers
Great place to shop and very reasonable prices!! Staff are always polite and very helpful.
Hard to get to if your driving but has good quality foods for decent prices and nice foreign beers
Nice Lidl, well spaced out and with a good selection of products. The usual 'never enough check-outs open' though, and no self service.
Very pleasant experience
And the lad at the till was do helpful.
Well laid out shop close to a multi storey carpark. Good range of products.
It's a lidl store, what more can I say. Great location but very busy all the time
Love Lidl good is a bit different from most supermarkets, love their breads and bakery Mmmm
Great place to grocery shop easy to find the item you need
Great shop, and always have great offers. Just couldn't pass it for anything.
Have various selections of name brand and generic brands. Most economical supermarket in Belfast and in UK
Great shop, bad location. Can't believe how inexpensive it is and yet you can get everything you need.
reasonable prices, food items that are not found in any other store, bakery first class!
Great staff, low prices and large selection of food and drink.

They sell quality products at very affordable prices. Have friendly staff too
Excellent selection of goods and home produce at very reasonable prices
Always good to shop at this Lidl, and get my day's supply of Perlenbacher for 99p each.
Give your man Patrick a raise or his own stage. He was hilarious on tills and made everyone laugh
Very handy for picking up shopping on your way home, right by the bus station.
Always good value for most things. Staff always friendly and helpful.
Love shopping in lidl, great selection and good prices.
Great location and helpful staff 👍
Nice store. Not sure why it's called a discount store because it's not that cheap but they sell nice food and drink.
Cheap prices. Good assortment of food and mixed household and garden items.
Great to have a lidl in town, one star off for the queues, but as we know the checkout moves fast.
Shop every week. Spacious, cool and g
et checkout every time no matter how busy.
Geting a bit more exspensive Asda and Tesco have their £1 lines and cheaper. Not every thing in LIdl is well priced
Great range of items but the fresh fruit and vegetables are very expensive.
Enjoyed shopping at affordable rate with very friendly staff members...
The biggest detractor and most odd thing about any Lidl is how aggressively quiet they are.
Foods ok and cheap, clothes and some other things you can see why there cheap. Inspect things closely before you buy.
Good place to shop lots of variety at very reasonable prices
Excellent but using this particular store you can expect long queues
Got some beef and port pies, they weren't very nice, and i also got some cod fish fingers, which was also not nice.
Clean, tidy and fresh bakery items are cheapest in city centre and of good quality
