T. B.Conveniently located and they have an ATM that issues £5 notes

I don't know which shop you were in, but the Ravenhill shop staff NEVER yell aggressively at people using the ATM. And there is NEVER an out of order sign on the machine when it's empty. Putting signs on the ATM stops people using it, which prevents the bank's system from registering that the machine needs refilled.
The SPAR across the road puts out of order signs on their machine.
