Reviews of St George's Market

St George's Market is one of Belfast's oldest attractions and one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. Only open Fri, Sat & Sun.
There has been a Friday market on the St George's site since 1604. The present award-winning St George's Market, built between 1890 and 1896, is one of Belfast's oldest attractions.
As well as being home to some of the finest fresh produce, with customers travelling near and far to sample the delights of Friday, Saturday and Sunday markets, it has become one of the city's most popular places to visit.
Since its £4.5m refurbishment in 1997, this charming Victorian building offers one of the most vibrant and colourful destinations that Belfast has to offer.

Cool market. Almost a flea market in some places. Wide array of shops but generally not wildly high quality. We bought some cheese here and bought some Spanish food for lunch. Worth a visit!

This is a good weekend market in Belfast. Opens Thursday to Sunday and have lot of stalls within the market. Lot of local vendors selling variety of goods like bags, ornaments, paintings, clothing, antiques etc. There are a lot of stalls for food and beverages as well which has a good variety of dishes. Usually closes by 3-3.30 PM so better to go during morning times to enjoy the market.

Lovely food and craft stalls. Great music. Could do with a bit more seating. Also good toilet facilities. Wish I could come back to try some more!

Great indoor market. Plenty of craft stalls, eatery's, food and seafood. Toilets and baby facilities. Clean and plenty of bins around. Highly recommended

Love St George's Market, we usually visit every year but it's beautiful to go at Christmas time as the atmosphere is brilliant. You can be sure to pick up a nice Christmas gift here too which is usually hand made, or visit one of the many food stalls selling freshly made food to sit and eat - the chowder stall looked and smelt amazing! There's so much history in this one building too, this was the hub of the old Belfast, if you are interested the walls just outside of the market will tell you the stories.

Visited pre Christmas on a Saturday afternoon. Nice atmosphere, live music playing good selection. Some food stalls had run out of items on their menu.

What an amazing place to visit. The range of stores on offer selling a plethora of items made the experience unique. Food options were very good and well priced. We went over two days and the Sunday seemed busier of the two. Definitely worth a visit.

Loved it. For the food. For the craft and for the vibe. For the coffee and the bakes. Spent a lot more than we would have liked. An absolute visit on a Sunday.

We particularly love visiting the market at Christmas to buy fresh produce and to buy christmas presents from the variety of stalls. Always a great spot to get a bite of lunch too. A massive variety of food on offer and live music for entertainment. A gem of Belfast.
