Just visited this Barnes Hill store and couldn't be happier. I had purchased previously an Asda double toner for my printer but even tho the number was listed on the packaging they would not fit my printer Louise was so helpful on the customer service desk and even tho I had mislaid my Asda receipt I was given a credit note to use on my next visit. Thank you Louise excellent customrr service with a smile.

Great Asda and it’s a decent size. Wide range of products and produce including a clothing and home and leisure section. Staff are friendly and helpful, store is clean and tidy. Plenty of parking including an underground parking section, with electric charging and a self serving 24 hour petrol station.

I had to go shopping today as a highly vulnerable person I get really nervous about going to the shops. There is a member of staff who tends to work the tills a lot called Matthew. He always smiles and always asks if you are ok,if you need anything to let him know. When you finish your shopping he says thank you and says have a good day. I told him today I thought he was the kindest and most helpful customer service person who has customer service down to a tee. Other organisations could learn a lot from this person.

I like going here, unlike other asdas I don't have to shop off the floor for clothes. Also nice and neatly put on hangers. And the food Isles are always stocked. Very friendly staff in this store.

I have to say during this present situation, I have felt extremely safe at Asda Barns Hill. I want to say a big thank you to all the staff for there kindness and support. Must say a big thank you to Justin & Kirsty ( and all security) and Damon who without there help,I would not be able to do any shopping. As they make sure ( when I call them) that they bring out a mobility scooter,so I'm able to do my shopping myself. It truly makes a Difference to my day. Thank you.

Shopping with mom. There is a collegue on the tills called Kirthpal who is always very helpful and friendly. He always helps mom pack her bags and nothing is too much trouble, he is always polite. Friendly staff . Will always give you a refund if you aren't happy with any product. All in all a good shopping experience apart from that bloody siren that keeps on going off every 20 seconds. I appreciate its needed for security but why so loud?

Can't complain at all about this Asda. The shelves are well stocked, and they have a lot of other products other than groceries. They have books, car products, clothes, home products, mobile products amongst other items. They also have a fuel station and a recycling area. Heaps of parking, including underground parking. I just wish they had a coffee shop in store.

Used to be 24 hour, now is still open till quite late. Staff will generally be able to help you, though it can be hard to find them at times. Prices are about the same as other places, though you can save on petrol. Has an opticians, wheelchair provisions, an ATM, and baby friendly trolleys. Free parking too!

This Asda is relatively new. It has a great selection of many different things, including a Deli, Fishmonger and place to get fresh pizzas from! The layout is a little odd compared to other stores, but it's not too big and not too small. Parking is adequate, although the spaces and roads are a little tight. Petrol prices are generally excellent, however it is an unmanned petrol station which is card only.

All he staff in the opticians department today were very helpful,friendly & a pleasure to deal with.A kind lady took photo's & checked the pressure of my eyes & then a gentleman tested my eyes & asked if I required a prescription.I told him that I was so impressed I would like to try on some spectacles & order two pairs.straight away.A lady called Tully helped me to chose my glasses & explained the full details to me.I look forward to my text advising that my spectacles are ready to collect

Asda is my go-to. Nothing else to say except that it's fantastic. It's far better than Tesco - Asda over tesco anyday. What's not to love with most products filled on shelves, hot deli, free Wi-Fi, comfy seats in the cafe, lottery tickets, flowers and a pick up or drop off zone.

The car park is very busy and not the biggest trollies just dumped by cars. Bit disappointed on the lack of vegetarian food on offer the day I visited so I ended up at a 2nd supermarket.

Size wise it’s puts any IKEA to shame. Food wise you’ve got plenty of fabulous options at some really dole prices. Trolleys are free- yes that’s right trolleys are free, so use one and drift it round every damn isle corner like I did (with noise effects). However what gives this ASDA it’s five star is the heritage and cultural value: Located at the legendary Barn-es Hill, quite often you will be scrutinising the same box of malted wheaties as the Birmingham City FC kickballers as they visit to try tap into the aura John Barn-es mustered in his prime Anfield Rap days. Went into Asda at about 3.30 to pick up a parcel and decided to have a look around and pick up a few essentials . I must say I was not happy with the state of the shelves .... they were empty . At least 4 items that I needed were not available and the store looked a mess . Staff were very friendly though .

Absolutely guaranteed as the worst price control superstore in Brum. Doesn't matter what the ticket says, you'll come out either quids in or invariably quids out....and then you'll have to wait ages for someone to show up at customer services to refund you for your mispriced pepparami....if you can be bothered!

I used asda barnes hill on christmas eve 2016. I just cant believe how little stock they had of everything. I went in looking for boys pyjamas for a 10 year old boy, nothing. So started to do my food shop. No lamb joints at all. Only a few pork ones left and they looked like they was left because they was small and mishaped. So left the meat. No fresh party platters unless you liked prawns. I wasnt fairing well. I could'nt even get my nice and easy hair dye no 10 that to was out of stock. Staff was standing in the aisles talking to each other. I asked one member of staff down the fresh meat aisle if any more meat joints was out the back? I was told no and he just walked off. For my christmas shop i normally spend around £350/£400 not this year it was £169 due to lack of products i required. Well i spent the rest of my money up Sainsburys Selly Oak they had plenty of everything except boys pyjamas. Dont think i'll be using asda again at christmas. Come on Asda i love your shop but please have more stock in.

This area of South Birmingham had been crying out for a superstore for decades before ASDA finally recognised the need for one. Well stocked and spacious, this store has a bit of everything and generous parking to boot! From clothes to video games you are almost certain to find what you need here. You can often find my cousin getting his caffeine fix from the in-store cafe! The coffee from there is surprisingly good. Great store!

Gary on chilled is a legend. On our first date, he bought me some of your Hot & Spicy Chicken Wings, which were delicious by the way. Very hardworking and it's because of him that I'm in your store almost everyday and am starting to speak to other members of staff; none of whom are cooler than Gary. Gary is the coolest. Big supermarket so has a good range of stuff, prices are usually good and they're normally pretty good keeping stuff in stock so you can grab everything in 1 trip. Has above and underground parking, electric car charging points underground.

It's an Asda so a reliable brand everyone is familiar with however, if you try to shop after 12pm the shelves look like war has been declared and if by chance you do see a member of staff stocking shelves please do not get in their way as they will barge past you!

Hate fruit and veg that only has 1 or 2 days sell/use by dates. Jersey Mids were green because they have been left out in the sun. Hate bananas that split too . Stop trying to sell us rubbish.Lets go back a few years when I could buy a weeks food all at once and it lasted. ...
