Plenty of space and a good selection of Oriental foods but some of what we found were cheaper closer to where we live 40 miles away. We only really went for Red Horse Beer which is hard to come by in the UK and this is our closest known regular stockist Knowing that the beer is 10 times cheaper per litre in The Philippines is a bit of a put off but a treat to remind me of the great parties and fiestas we are missing out by not being able to go there. Polite and helpful staff with sufficient parking and hassle-free shopping

Yummy Oriental produce including many items that are unavailable in "the big four" supermarkets. The kids also love seeing the "fresh" crabs and lobsters moving around in their tanks; crustaceans which are also for sale to boil/cook and eat.

Fantastic supermarket for all kinds of Asian food stocking a very wide range from all corners of the globe . There are some very pleasant and helpful staff especially at reception, the fish counter and checkouts . Having 2 staff at each till makes it a pleasant experience with no long queue's and no long waiting times . Huge car park and always plenty of shopping trolley's . I love been able to get things here that I wouldn't be able to get in an average run of them mill supermarket. Also been able to try new things that I've also wanted to try but never thought I could do to being limited to what could be brought at said supermarkets. I/we mainly go there for my Samyang spicy noodles, or for my rice cake ingredient but Wing Yip has pretty much got all oriental ingredients/food you may possibly need as well as Indian, Malaysian, they also have fresh crab and lobsters available. Sometimes if you're looking for an ingredients you can't find it, it's hard to communication with some of staff there due to language barrier otherwise, the staff are friendly and the store is kept clean, spacious, parking is also not an issue as there's plenty of parking available.

A huge oriental shop containing alot of grocery things you might need, even live crabs and lobsters. The rows were well stocked. Downside was that they sell a huge stock of frozen stuff but have no freezer bags for sale to keep the goods cold, they only had "keep warm" bags in the shape of delivery drivers use in sizes small to large. Nearby in same business park are travel, estate sales, food and coffee shops among few more.

Fantastic Chinese Superstore right in the heart of Birmingham. I've met Mr Yip before, he's a brilliant man and I've been to his store in Cricklewood, London. Also amazing! Most restaurants in Brum use Wing Yip so you know its great quality.

This is a good supermarket for Chinese grocery with a variety of sauces, herbs and snacks. They used to sell roast duck but that's gone now. Mochi has disappeared too. But you can find fresh tofu, pandan leaves, fresh durian and frozen durians and chicken legs. Ample car parking available. Bring your own recycling bags. There is a new stall selling coffee and wraps.

Staff are very very helpful. They go beyond to help you but only problem is sometime they run out the things like today Golden mountain seasoning sauce and specially they limited 2 cases of chicken per day per person. I have to spend another 21 pounds to get 1 more case of chicken next day.

This is a spacious supermarket with a high ceiling (good in COVID times) and plenty of parking. There a lot of Asian/South East Asian and other products to choose from, which includes meat, fish and some other sea food (some of it fresh, though COVID has affected this service a bit). The back of this store has products for those who want to buy in bulk too. This place also has a small shop in it, that sells pretty good coffee, a few pastries and drink items. The staff are pretty pre-occupied with work and efficiency but have always helped when asked, so... happy with that too! All in all a good place to shop at.

If you like Chinese food then you can get everything you need under one roof the prices are high though. You can get a hot drink if you wish whilst you are shopping. You can just pull up go in and get a hot drink and take it away with you. Update 12.03.22. Still the same. Just a warning..don't go shopping there when you're hungry, you'll end up buying the whole store full of yummy stuff lol.

This must be a long established shop because they have it all worked out. Foods usually unavailable are plentiful here, the fruit and veg well displayed and I saw no rotten ones unlike other supermarkets I’ve visited. Clean and pleasant as a shop can be. Staff helpful and well mannered.

I have never been to this store before and only thought about it after watching a vegan cooking vid and they bought a load of stuff.its not that far away so visited today. Huge supermarket-there is also a section for those buying in huge quantities for restaurants etc. Plenty of free parking. Trolleys available. Entrance separated from exit for Covid. Huge wide aisles. Looked clean , well lit and well signed in English and Chinese. Never seen such a huge choice of soy sauce. Lots of meat and fish)frozen) but not interested in those. I ended up buying some low sodium soy, mushroom sauce, lots of tofu cheaper than Asda, cans of vegan coconut custard, not tried but sounded yummy. Other herbs and spices and stuff my family asked me to get. And jackfruit was also on a bogof. If it’s close to you then we’ll worth a visit.

This is a my go to place for quality Chinese and other Asian food, there is an extensive selection of condiments, sauces, frozen food, fresh food and groceries. It's open to trade and private customer alike, I don't feel out of place pushing my trolley around this large, well laid out store, the staff are friendly and there is a good atmosphere. There is an additional warehouse section for full-on catering supplies if that's your thing.

Excellent supermarket with variety of Asian herbs,spices,vegetables, snacks and sauces. They also have some nice kitchen stuff such as cups, plates, bowls, woks,etc. I bought vegetarian mock chicken and vegetarian mock duck as they have good variety of vegetarian food too. There are some products which are little overpriced depends on what you looking for. They also have a little cafe inside the store which offers variety of drinks such as bubble tea, coffee, milkshakes etc. I will definitely come back here !!

Its OK, loads of good oriental food stuffs, prices are creeping up, to match that of some of the smaller more local oriental shops, Worcester, Coventry, Cheltenham etc. The loss of the restaurant appended is a great blow. We used to make a day of it, shopping and then across the car park for a splendid buffet lunch. Why they closed and moved it to Birmingham central I just don't know, don't go so regularly now, as I said can get most stuff locally and roughly same price.

Excellent Chinese owned supermarket, with distinctly oriental theme. Offering loads different product items including fresh vegetables, fresh meat and fish counters are great with meat and fish being cut to your exact requirements. Loads of canned and bottled items to choose as well as plenty of condiments of every kind. As well as the retail side there is also the bulk purchasing available, suitable for restaurant trade offering significant discount for these purchases. Prices and choice are excellent across the store. Very spacious store never cramped and with pleasant staff here who will even insist on helping pack. For convenience they accept most major card payments with no minimum purchase required. Plenty of free parking available, generally not too busy and convenient opening times.

This is an amazing shop to go into, for almost any chinese/japanese food related item. It is so easy to get carried away in this wonderful shop. It stock anything from dumplings to duck and pandan leaves to partridge. I love their PotStickers and the fish counter is stocked to the brim, with everything from salmon to sardines. They also stock a number of pots, pans, woks and utensils. I found their 'easy use chopsticks' particularly helpful. The staff are friendly and helpful and will happily help you to carry your shopping to your car.

Really big store selling most oriental foods and supply with wholesale price. You will find most Asian food, spices and condiments. They have big parking area and lots of staff around if you ever need help. Small counter selling Thai tea with tapioca balls bobba.

It's a great place for buying Asian food staples in bulk or not. I saw 3l cans of coconut milk or big bags of dumplings wrappers and spices. There are fake meat options and a fresh fish area. The fresh food was smaller than expected but they have a lot of choice of sauces, dumplings, bad buns at least! I was surprised by the fake meat mostly. They have teas and some drinks too. The prices are good. The parking is big enough and it was easy to find. Many customers did not wear a mask

I recently visted the Wing Yip the large store was extremely spacious and staff where very fiendly and professional. All the products on sale wrere easy to find because of the neatly posted signage. I was delighted at the new changes made in view of COVID19 this has made my experience less threatening comparing to the setup this time last year 2020. The new measures in place made the transition from car park to entrance and exit easier! Now this allows me to make frequent visits without my anxiety levels going high at the thought of the previous arrangement and how venerable and expose to traffic around the building. So I was extremely happy on this recent visit. Excellent.

Great shop with huge range and brilliant prices. My one complaint, however, is that many of the staff are rude in that they constantly stare. Today was this second time this has happened and most prominent. My sister and I made a 30 min trip from home to Wing Yip, only to be stared at by a lot of the male workers and they would even take turns to pass us. I didn't want to think this initially, but is was so painfully obvious. Every isle we walked down, about 5 men would field to the same one, evidently leaving us rushing around the shop and even purposefully missing certain isles out, despite the fact we needed ingredients from said isles. We didn't feel as if we could tell anybody either as it seems a close-knit team and some of the workers on the tills (woman, too) were staring us down the entire time we were there. It is a great shame, as the shop stocks such a vast extent of items and we would have spent more here had we not been stalked the whole time!

Love this supermarket, despite looking white as cream my Mum is actually a refugee from Vietnam so asian cooking has always been a big part of my culture. Wing Yip has a lot of food, the selection is even better than the one in London I lived next to. Prices are good and checkout is very well priced. My only improvement to select is some of the seafood. The oysters we got today were very fresh but the scallops had opened and the razor clams look like they'd seen better days but times are tough! Will always be a loyal customer.

I like wing yip for the great variety of Asian foods however prices are a bit higher for things available at normal superstores like tesco. Things like Sherwood's cooking sauces and patacks pastes are not as cheap.

You can always go into Birmingham Chinatown but then you have to end up fighting to get parking which you have to pay for. This Chinese Warehouse is mainly catered for the takeaway restaurant business. However it does have a wide selection of products are for general retail as well including oriental frozen foods, spices sweets drinks fresh fish meats and also cakes. Most products are imported so there is a bit of a premium in price, but I do have products would you can't get in a general supermarket. It's also nice little coffee shop inside that sell bubble tea.

The siew mai are good and cheap at £6+ for 40pcs. I bought 10kg of Thailand jasmine rice <£13. However the frozen crabs are quite expensive. You can find chicken feet and pig stomach there as well. Quite a lot of items there but my this trip was a bit rush. Did not manage to shop for long. The cashier is very friendly. Just that they do not provide sanitizers for hands and trolleys.
