Clean, very well stocked, including fresh blueberries from two countries, not too busy this Easter Friday afternoon and of course the mad centre aisles packed with stuff you’ve never needed in your life, except today. Staff exceptionally patient and kind - especially with a couple of regulars needing a bit of chat and gentleness. No hint of impatience. Amazing to watch.

This is my local supermarket. The quality of the food in general is what you can expect from a German discounter – there is very little difference between the layouts of the store in the UK or Germany, but, obviously, the stuff on the shelves in Germany is different, and cheaper. I find you have to be quick eating the fresh fruit. Often the quality of the milk is equal to that you get at Waitrose and always better than the insipid white liquid you get at Asda. Their Chilean white wines are an absolute bargain for the quality you get – I don’t drink red wine or wine from any other country North of the equator so I can’t comment on any European wines.

Good shop as most are little one loved the kids trolley so she could do shopping with daddy. shame they never seem to have enough tills open no matter how busy it gets only ever seen 3 open even on a Saturday afternoon when it's really busy

One of the bigger shops in Brighton marina area, cheap and reasonable items from poultry, vegetables, foods, confectionery, household items etc. Follows covid protocols. Also love their discount sales for fruits and veges.. Must go for families, bachelors, who look for cheaper options.

I just can't enough of the randomness of what they sell .... Fresh bread to chainsaws, something for everyone. Randomness aside, the staff are super friendly, food is amazing value and the special promotions and discounts really are of value. Insider tip....the bakery sells off all the fresh baked fayre with a hefty discount from 7pm each evening and I'm addicted to the little Portuguese custard tarts. Lidl wins make you feel good.

My only issue is the fact that my mother went with her 2 year old and was accused (with no evidence shown or offered) of theft she was essentially ganged up on to the point in which she was clearly emotionally distressed

I am a great fan of Lidl stores but our recent visit was awful. In the time of Covid, there was no control on the number of people in the store. It was crowded. Some customers were not wearing masks or social distancing. It was all a bit of a free for all! Shame as it is usually a great shop with good prices.

Clean and accessible for those using a wheelchair. As with any branch of Lidl I've shopped in, it's pretty busy much of the time - and, during this COVID-19 period, there is little scope to observe the 2 metre social distancing "rule" in relation to business and the distance between shelves and products.... I'm sure they're doing their best in these circumstances whilst still varying the product range to ensure viability....

You have to admit that their own-brand stuff is equally as good as branded. I know some will dispute this, but I bet they couldn’t tell the difference if they were challenged. Anyway, who cares! Prices are amazing. Middle shelves are always fun as you never know what’s going to be there. Only issue for me is if you go later in the day, the shelves don’t always seem to be fully stocked, almost as if they only fill them once a day. Staff are generally helpful and polite.

A really good sized store with well stocked shelves. The bakery section is well run and the goods are delicious. The produce section is also very large and very well stocked. The aisles are very very narrow so just be aware of that especially the first aisle. If you suffer with crowds in confined spaces you may find it a struggle and it would be better to go at a quieter a time. The staff are very very friendly and helpful.

Prices can be good, but some fruits are of very poor quality. Most bunches of oranges, lemons or onions always have one rotting fruit or vegetable. But very good prices for meat and dairy products which are tasty and hopefully of good quality.

Good store, lots of choice. Regular food bargains plus 'the middle isle' one off offers; usually only available once per year. Good choice of cheeses and fresh vegetables. Has cashier or self service tills. Open until 10pm most eves. Has a large, busy car park; often full.

I don't really shop at Lidl but this one is better than most as it's more modern and up-to-date than a lot of the others. good value fresh sandwiches are available here which are much better than other supermarkets.

The addition of the self-serve checkout counters have helped with queue congestion most definitely, I'd like to see another set on the other side as well, just to get people in and out that bit faster, as they are very popular. The store itself is very much the same layout as every other Lidl, there's a good supply of parking spaces nearby, and I consistently find that I spend a lot less for a comparative shop at Asda. It can be a bit messy at times due to the nature, and there are definitely times in the week where the shelves are looking a bit bare - nothing that would prevent me from using them, but it does make it look a tad sorry.

Good value and quite convenient. Car park is difficult to get around, spaces very small and there is a limit of 90 minutes to park, which makes you nervous when shopping, especially as the queues for the tills can be long. Just keep this in mind.

The layout is very standard in all the Lidl shops. However, it has additional 3 layers shelves to display all the DIY goods. It make the presentation more attractive, neat and tidy. In addition, it also has self check out counters to speed up the payment process after shopping. So good !!!

Great vakur for money, I always end up buying more than i should but at checkout i am expecting a large amount to show in the total but usually turns out to be allot less than i expected. Great value for money, free parking and a very large shipping area with loads of good prices and a decent quality, frozen products are great especially the French ice-cream. Love it

The only thing stopping me from giving Lidl 5 stars is the queue times. The prices are fantastic, the quality is great, I do almost all of my food shopping here. However, I also avoid going on the weekend like the plague. Also early evenings during the week. Consider yourself warned.

I've been here three hours ago in this store. I'm a usual customer because I live nearby and I find this shop a good place to buy food. Basically when I was paying at the automatic till I had a problem and I called one of the team member responsible of the tills on that time but she answering me in a very rude way, shouting me to wait until I finish to sort out another customer issue. Ok she was right then, but I got so mad because of the way she acted to me, I left the shop very p****d o** without sort this problem out. Pros : Cheap store to buy food and lovely bakery service. I come here everytime I need to buy food Cons: Less tills open and the blonde lady at the tills.... SO RUDE. If she acts like that with others too, the store is gonna lose lots of customers.

I haven't visited Lidl for some time but am including it again in my list of supermarkets I shop in. I am also checking when companies reduce the sizes of products and services in general. I always used to find Lidl was good quality and value. I bought a few things to check against how they were and other brands. Sad I have nothing better to do really isn't it. I do this independent of outside funding or influence.

Went to our local store to pick up some things, that what we wanted, that was the good thing. When got to check out, ONLY 2 OUT OF THE 6 was open & the self service was not even better ONLY 2 OPEN so you can guess what 5/6 people waiting in each queue. So why didn't they sort tills out. You tell me.

A busy store, often runs out of stock, long queues frequently, great value and suffers from a few of the staff who are seriously lacking in any ability to smile - a consistent problem over a long time - probably something to do with who is recruiting for this branch. There are other branches in the area who don't suffer from this problem - staff there always pleasant and smiling.

Good for some lines which aren't stocked in the 'big four' supermarkets and prices are very competitive. However, I don't shop here regularly for several reasons. The car park is too small for the volume of traffic, the aisles within the store are narrow, the displays don't seem to follow any logic which makes finding things difficult and there are never enough checkouts open. Staff are also miserable whereas the local Sainsbury's staff go out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Fairly large carpark. Every time I've been here recently always seems very busy. Only one serviced till open , about six self service tills and usually long queue. Staff don't like clearing empty boxes from fruit and veg area. Other than all that good bargains always to be had here.

Lidls is well worth enduring the queues and the rude customers.. The price difference between this place and even Asda is amazing. Go with a list. Great for ingredients to make meals. Not good for ready made veggie stuff, Linda McCartney sausages about it unless you go on a themed day like Greek or Spanish.. Great cheeses and slaws and potato salads. Probably the best.

I visited Lidl Brighton in July on a busy day at the height of the summer season. It was a very hot day and we needed a drink. We went to Lidl as it was the cheapest place. The store was very well stocked and the staff were friendly and helpful. The range of products was impressive and as i've said the prices are very very reasonable. Its a good store for a quick shop, although parking around there is nearly impossible. That is the only negative.

But other whilst, you will have search and search, moving emply box after box until you get back to the goods you want to buy. But you will find it, or just ask a member of the stafff, the team will also be able to see if they can help you with your shopping. They are so helpful..

The prices here are pretty good and they have a better selection than Aldi. I was surprised to find things like chia seeds, quorn food and cravendale milk which I can never find in other discount supermarkets. However Lidl is slightly more expensive so maybe that's why. One small annoying thing is that many of the products like vegetables and fruit don't seem to have a best before date on them, and certain products sell out very quickly.

Very handy when you are down at Brighton beach - up the far end near Volks Railway and the marina end. Also, excellent position for those using the caravan club / camping. Good range of food and produce, quality is fair, prices are excellent and don't have a rip-off seaside town extra on them. Worth a visit.

You know what you are getting at Lidl and the Brighton store is no exception. Great service with friendly staff and a well stocked store. The car park isn't the biggest but with regular buses stopping right outside (routes 1, 1A, 7 and 23) means it is easily accessible for all.

A place that u can find gd prices almost everything Nd have a excellent bread that remember small pizza with 3 different flavours for u can choose. I bought dry aged Aberdeen Angus fillet steak at Lidl. It was superb. £29.50 a kilo compared to Waitrose's £42 a kilo. Absolutely fantastic value. Very tasty meat.
