Reviews of Co-op Food - High Kingsdown
J. S.
Excellent range of vegan options, 9nly downside is shelves are normally empty by about 9pm and it doesn't open til noon on a Sunday
P. H.
Smaller convenience Coop, full of earnest looking students. Limited lines but ok for a dash in.
S. A.
A small to medium coop that is near the uni so busy during term time. Convenient in the way home for a few items, parking available outside
R. w.
Very friendly. Quite busy and popular. Groceries. Coop staff, I find have a good sense of humour and down too earth. Never had any problems with my groceries. But I do find they open all hours which is handy. Prices could be lower.

Pros:
Good location (convenient).
Usually tidy and well-stocked.
Staff are usually friendly.
Convenient ATM.
Cons:
Small shop, so limited range.
Shop can get extremely busy (long wait for paying) during the University lunch hour and right after University lectures finish.
R. B.
Good for convenience as it's on the way to work. Typically good friendly service from most staff but it's a co-op which means expensive, coffee machine works most of the time and hot counter is out of action a lot. Stock availability is a bit hit and miss given size of the store. Not a lot of healthy options available just popular ones.
V. L.
This shop is a small local shop but it doesn’t open until 12pm on a Sunday which is pointless. Some of the staff are awesome and some are rude!
E. A.
In close proximity to Arts and Social Sciences library, so good place to grab lunch/snack outside of the cafeteria's opening hours. Staff is friendly and always ready to help. Not a wide variety of products in there, but it's a small co-op so that's expected.
A. H.
Sometimes very crowded, and often impersonal. Today however I had a very pleasant shopping experience, and the guy at the checkout talked to me like a friend. Very popular with students, and that carries a particular atmosphere with it which I like.

Local. Convenient. Close.late openingCotham has an excellent reputation in Bristol built on our specialisms in Performing Arts, Maths and Computing and an outstanding GCSE and A Level examination record that is amongst the very best in the city. Our Sixth Form, the North Bristol Post 16 Centre, is thriving with over eight hundred students studying academic programmes shared between Cotham and Redland Green School. This place saved my life multiple times as I often found myself just about to die of starvation in the library after the university cafeteria had closed. They offer a pretty good selection of sandwiches and salads, while Costa coffees are also available.

4 years ago I had a ruptured disc, very painful, a couple of days ago this issue came back, I managed to get a prescription for pain killers (thank you doctor), I collected it and went to this branch to get some supplies, a kind shopper reached for a soup for me, as I toddled to the till, a staff member called Claire (hopefully I spelt the name right) asked if I she could help me, I actually said no (didn't want to be a burden, especially in this climate of covoid 19). She came over and helped anyway, scanned my items for me and then helped me across the road (where I live). What a treasure you are Claire! Thank you so much. Xxx♡

Good for a top up shop. And +1 for the great one pound eco bags. Pretty indestructible and I use them for my weekly shop now in Australia.
D. J.
Polite and attentive staff. Very good range of food. Feel safe when shopping there because of Covid mitigation measures.
N. B.
Good little Co-op of you're stuck at St Michael's as a visitor for any length of time. About 10 mins walk. Has a decent range including fresh vegetables, bread, warm food to go. NFC contactless available at the tills. Some parking out front and to the side.
m. b.
Good sized store with a large range..pleasantly surprised!
E. R.
It's a small co-op store. You know what to expect. You'll recognise the ambience, produce and staff to customer ratio from every other small supermarket you've ever been in.
C.
This is my local while at work. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Try to avoid going at lunchtime as there's quite a high student population in the area and can get busy
A. H.
Good food selection 👌 food quality is very good at all co-op stores.
R.
Good shop with mostly great staff. One staff member however thinks it's okay to shout at customers randomly and make inappropriate comments. Apparently from him it's a good store
C. G.
A few members of staff have been quite abrupt and appeared rude on occasion. Not the quickest shop at opening a till if needed.
E. P.
Good co-op though can be a little haphazard in its layout and difficult to navigate through the restocking trolleys - it feels like they always choose the worst time! Perhaps a little off the mark in what they stock, too.
L. L.
Always friendly and the flowers, plants and pots are so reasonably priced!
O.
Good selection of products for a Co Op. Reasonable prices when you but goods on deals. More ethical shopping, make sure you get a membership card!
C. I. N.
It's a co-op! Not much more to say. Apart from the queues can wind more than half way round the store! Clearly more popular than they have capacity for our there's just nowhere else to go?
J. H.
Always friendly and helpful staff. Do most of my shopping here👍😁
M. G.
This is not only the best Coop in the world, neither is it the best supermarket in the world but I believe it is the best retail outlet of any type. I visit daily.
B. C.
Good enough co-op that has plenty of choice. Shame they don't have enough cashier's at times and the queue goes around the shop!
L. R.
This coop is food for meal deals and offers a wide selection in that specific aspect, but is rather poor for produce and basics such as juice, as well as specific yet common items such as lentils.
J. T.
Great selection of produce and helpful and friendly staff.
M. M.
Lots of selection, and a lot more ethical than a lot of big supermarkets in terms of where they procure they're produce from etc
S. M.
Really helpful staff! Not the best place to do big grocery shops though.
V. L.
Been here many times and they never disappoint.
I. J.
Invaded by students during term time, all who seem to have a higher budget than I, and I work full time. I must be doing something wrong.
Debt? It must be over-hyped.
Z. A.
Life saviour for a quick meal/lunch, especially for people who work or study at university of bristol.
R. S.
Has all the things you need if you need to top up your weekly shop. A bit expensive but it'll do. Wouldn't do a weekly shop here though
J. C.
It's co op! But pricey, fairly good selection. Never waiting long even if busy
C. A.
This is a medium sized supermarket Sowing The Usual range of food and drinks the staff are friendly and there is a cash point on site
R. S.
Great place to shop in the area. I love the late evening opening times.
M. D.
Good selection and service. But not as cheap as the 'cost cutters'
J. F.

S. F.

C. P.
Handy to buy some things on my way home but this shop is more expensive than my usual one
M. H.
A good selection considering it's size and friendly service.
a. P.
Good sized co-op , plenty to choose from always clean and tidy.
N. S.
Very good selection of produce, due to the demographic.
N. A.
Good parking and lots of choice! Sandwiches great
D. M.

A. B.
