It was a pleasant surprise to come across such ethically oriented business dedicated totally and ethically to eliminate single use plastic while selling wholesome organic foods. One can order and collect any amount or has his order delivered to his address. It is nice to see people bringing their own bottles, glass containers or reusable bags to cut on the use of plastic that harms the environment. The shop is very clean and the service is great and the staff are very helpful and polite. The shop is on the main road of Staple Hill facing the parking area. No parking problem there. I highly recommend shopping there and encourage businesses that take an active role in protecting the future of the planet and support local farmers and businesses.

Came in for a washing up liquid refill, stayed and shopping for the ridiculously well priced food!! Did a price comparisons of some items eg dried apple slices 100g £1.60 in sainsburys, it was 32p here!! Will definitely be back. Thanks so much for you help too.

Nom Wholefoods is great! We have been ordering for them for a few months now and over this time they have grown their offering including a good range of organic. Nikki has even stocked a few items which we have personally requested - how about that for service! The kids and I always look forward to unpacking our order each week which is hand delivered with a smile. It's so satisfying being able to order nutritious food with minimal packaging and I'm looking forward to seeing their range grow even more. Would highly recommend!

Nikki and her family make it really easy to get amazing quality products without incurring in creating lots of plastic. I love that they deliver and that they have a range of options for containers, including jars. I was never organised enough to go to a zero waste shop regularly, but Nom make it easy to order every few weeks and get it delivered. Also, they provide really good and friendly customer service. Couldn't recommend them enough.

What a wonderful shop! Great products - Nom's walnuts and dried fruits are the best I've ever tasted. I've been a customer of their online service for a while, and am delighted they now have a shop in Staple Hill. It's so easy to shop there, and great to be able to support this way of zero-waste shopping. Bringing my own containers also saves a lot of time decanting stuff when I get home. Win-win!

This is a great shop if you’re looking to reduce your environmental impact, especially to reduce consumption of plastic packaging. You can bring your own container, borrow a donated one, or buy a paper bag for 5p for your shopping. Be prepared for a bit of a faff as it takes some time to weigh your container, print a QR code out and then serve out your shopping g and weigh it. But staff are helpful and friendly and other customers are really patient. It’s also incredibly keen. There’s a great selection of produce and they are open to requests of things to stock if there’s something you’d like to see in store. The only thing that would stop me recommending this place is if you have allergies as it’s impossible with this kind of system to eliminate the risk of cross contamination.

Really great coffee beans. Hunted high and low across the U.K. for a supplier that would post me 800g whole coffee beans in a paper bag with no plastic elements. They sent the beans first class, same day packed from their airtight storage tin (organic, fair trade Honduras very tasty) and I transferred them to an airtight container when they arrived. They kept well, fresh and really nice smooth flavour. Very happy! Super customer service and really nice company with sustainable ethics. Shop here for proper eco plastic free coffee! Not easy to find 👍

I've been shopping with Nom Wholefoods since June 2020 (they were the only place that I could get pasta in lockdown!). They were great before but even better now they have a shop. It's really convenient to be able to top-up to any amount & just pay for what you buy. Their range of products has increased - I never would have thought of refill falafel mix! And the kids' play area in the corner is just lovely - my 2.5 can't get enough of the chalkboard. I find the weighing system easy to use and am getting much more confident with it even after just 2 visits.

I feel really lucky to have Nom available to us - I had been looking for something locally to help me shop in a more eco-friendly way, and Nom came about just at the right time! The range of products has grown and grown since they started, and I am confident that Nikki always researches new suppliers carefully. Customer service is excellent, and the range of delivery times and the ability to click and collect means there should be an option to suit everyone. What a great company with such wonderful personal service. I just bought some organic cashew nuts and some walnut halves and they are tremendous. So much fresher and with much better flavour than than the ones I usually get from the supermarket. And the sturdy paper packaging makes a big difference for me too.

I've ordered from Nom a few times now and would recommend them. The produce is always good quality and they are continually adding more to their range, making it easier to buy as many products as possible in one place. It's especially good to see more gluten-free products appearing. When I contacted Nikki for more information about allergens she was more than happy to explain the processes they use to avoid cross-contamination. I like the fact that they support local small businesses and producers, and take an ethical stance on how they source their products. As a business I don't think they could possibly be more sustainable, with options to avoid single-use packaging and information on the website about each one. As well as delivery there is a click-and-collect option from Fishponds. In general they have made their system as flexible as possible for their customers. A great local business.

We've been ordering food from Nom for almost a year now. It's great that we're able to order lots of our food locally/plastic free and without using our car for a single shopping trip. With the food we buy from Nom (alongside a regular veg box from elsewhere) we've almost completely cut out needing to visit the supermarket. Great to have this business in Fishponds, I use them for refills on dry food and my washing products. As well as the selection of local Bristol food items there Is an option to go organic on the essentials which is great. Super friendly and easy to use (once you get your head around the glass refills they are brill!) totally recommend these guys to keep your plastic use down without the hassle (they deliver!)

Just had my second delivery from Nom wholefoods and have to say the quality is outstanding. As you'd expect, prices tend to be a little higher than Tesco but generally not that much and are perfectly reasonable for best quality, ethically sourced, organic produce - I speak as someone on a pension with limited spare cash. I also love the no-frills packaging options: most of our plastic waste is packaging and much of it cannot be put in the municipal recycling, so the Nom options are very welcome. The website is full of useful product information and tips, service is friendly and very efficient and the delivery reliable and prompt. Nom make it easy to support an independent local business, especially in the current circumstances. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

A brilliant idea and a brilliant service. I have ordered twice so far and the food has turned up on time in pristine reusable jars. Nicki has been very flexible when I have wanted to change my order and has been responsive with any questions. The range is expanding all the time and the prices compare well to the main supermarkets. I was told about Nom Wholefoods delivering plastic-free, yummy food to my doorstep by my neighbour during the 1st lockdown in 2020. I immediately looked them up and liked what I saw. I signed up to Nickys newsletter and made my first order. The website is straightforward and what arrived was exactly what was described. Delivered on time and presented with a smile from Nicky I've since used them on many occasions and have been very happy everytime....especially when there is a special offer or free gift :) They keep up to speed with what us customers would like to see available and update their "shelves" regularly.

My family started using Nom Wholefoods during the first lockdown when we couldn't get pasta (one of the few things our then-one-year-old would reliably eat!) at the supermarket. Over time, we've started exclusively shopping from them for more and more products e.g. coffee, spices, soap, laundry detergent & sunflower mince (like Quorn but dried, a great store-cupboard staple discovery I have made thanks to Nom offering a free sample of it as a product launch promo). They're reliable. I've never had a substitution or a refund on anything; my experience has been that if something says it's in stock on the website, it's definitely in stock. They always acknowledge my orders, confirm delivery date & respond to my questions in a timely manner, then deliver when they say they will. Short-dated products are labelled as such and discounted accordingly. They're a real local business, partnering with other local businesses (e.g. Snuffy Jacks, Made In Fishponds soap), which has helped me discover even more interesting things happening on my doorstep, even in lockdowns. Even if/when I stop working from home so much, I'll make sure I can keep getting deliveries from Nom Wholefoods.
