Reviews of Wholesale Fruit Centre Bristol
The Sunday Market at St. Phillips is the place to go if you are looking for a bargain.
The fruit & veg stall has various bags containing either fruit or veg all priced at £2 PER BAG. Depending on the size of your family, there is enough in each bag to see you throughout the week. There are other bargains on this stall, too. Just come and see for yourselves.
The meat vans, all have deals you don't want to miss. Just look at todays deal, 15 chicken legs for £10.
There's a few other stall holders, all with something worth looking at. Would be good to see more stalls, like a bread/cake stall.
Fruit, veg, meat (and bread 🙏) that's my shopping sorted!!
Come and support the market. Let's help build it back up like the old days where it was the place to go for a bargain.
I love this place ☺

A must place to go to for your fruit, veg and fresh meat! Much cheaper than any supermarket and much better quality. All produce is fresh, everything tastes amazing!

Quick assistance with unloading. Nice market. Nice staff
Such a fruit and vegetable market and fresh meat. About 20%. The rest of the space is a mix, i.e. fork soap and success. It's convenient to have a car or other means of transport.
You can get wholesale quantities of fruit, clothes and fresh meat from the butcher, get your phone repaired, there is everything you can expect at such a market. Both tools and sofas and carpets
It's ok, but need check what u buy because sometimes you can get for same price in shops. If buy fruit make sure u eat them in next 2-3 day's all ready to eat.
For a 9-hour break, they charged us €14. The bathrooms are clean and there are also showers.
A large selection of fruits, vegetables, chemicals, clothes, furniture, you will find everything you want. Prices vary. open area, so I don't recommend it in the rain
I was there in the evening, it was already empty, the servant showed me where to stand, it went smoothly, the only minus is the lack of ramps
Quite dirty like all the markets in England. But at least, if you're not going to stay the night, they don't charge you for taking the truck to unload.
Both the diversity and quality of the products leave a little to be desired.
Good little market, tomorrow I'll go to spend money again...
Do you pay to stay there at night?
Great shopping on Sunday
Very nice service on Sunday
Love the out door market , at least you can have a chat with the trader's , cheaper than the shops fresh vegetables and other goods to buy ,I like it very much
The meat man and fruit and veg stall are excellent quality for a very good price, there isn't many other stalls sadly.
Great for fruit, veg and meat. Generally small. Used to be 75% bigger before Trading Standards got involved.
Only come down here 2 get our monthly meat shame really as remember when used 2 be a bustling market now lucky to have 10-15 stalls here
Not much at the Sunday market these days but good for meat and veg though
Love this place friendly service from all the stalls .great place to get veg fruit and meat love it
Disappointed that market is now quite small, but lots of fresh fruit & meat at reasonable prices.
There is a good man to who I'm going usually to get fruits and veggies. Some of it are off but in overall it's alright.
Vegetables always fresh, meat machine all good, only need here some tables in the sheds people where can sit down if they want something to eat or drinks especially when it's raining. Otherwise all good.
Anyone know where's best to go now for clothes ect: thanks in advance (leave a review with where please)
The best meat & fruit/ veggies you can get I the Bristol for good price
Only really ideal if looking to buy meat / veg in bulk, otherwise not much !
Market every Sunday great for those fruit and veg and counterfeit clothing
Or Sunday that she's the meat and the fruit a really good
Smaller than previous due to fake goods stalls being banned, now some shoe stalls and butcher's wagons
Best place to but fresh fruits at a good price!
There are many fruits here! Be prepared to buy in bulk, come with a valid permit!!!
Very good with fruit & flowers. Very good price's
The market has varied and good value stalls
Apparently it is still a fruit market and the last time I visited it was a very good one. I had heard it had or was closing down to become a building site for houses or something but according to the owner that is not true. As for the sunday market it is a complete waste of time these days unless you require fruit or veg because there are hardly any other traders up there these days.
Fruit market got smaller and smaller each time we go on a Sunday
Only worth a visit for fresh meat or fruit and veg
Sunday market, you can get good bargains here, especially fruit!
Usual stalls from week to week bargains to be found on meat stalls and the large vegetable stall
Trade only usually but if you buying enough they will sell you fruit and vegetables
Go to Curry in a hurry great food very nice staff lamb Currys are great
It’s very nice place and amazing ambiance
Great place to get your meat veg cheese
Love the good deals in this market place
A decent sized market with a wide range of products, although I didn't make any purchases this time I was certainly tempted
During the week this market is a wholesale market selling fruit, veg and flowers and it opens from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday to Friday and 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Saturdays. The wearing of a Hi-viz vest is compulsory for everyone (both staff and visitors) as this is a site where vehicles and machinery such as lorries, vans and forklifts circulate in the same area as pedestrians.
On Sundays the Sunday Market takes place and it runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and it is a general market where both food and clothing goods are on offer as well as other occasional products. (No Hi-viz necessary on Sundays)
A very good market within the bristol fruit market. Only on sundays.
This place sell fruit and veg in the week days on Sunday there is a open market
Good food! I cooked the night away.
Fresh fruit and veg for much better price
Really good place great value x
Very cheap price for fruit and veg
Fresh fruits and vegetables. Only available on sundays.
Haven't been for a while not many stalls this week.
Good mix of stalls, and friendly stall holders.
Great produce and the team at the fruit & veg stalls!
A great place to buy fruit in a reasonable price. The only downside is that you have to buy massive amount which is usually more than you need for a small family! Would be perfect if you have someone to share with
Suprised as there weren't as many stalls as there has been in the past
Good prices,good fruit and veg
Amazing value for money love the food there
Very busy but offers great bargains
The freshest fruit & veg in Bristol by far!
Great place on a Sunday morning
Top top top
Sunday market getting bigger after christmas.
Good place to buy bulk fruit
Very small and it needs more stores
My Dad has beeng going to this market here for about half a century, as have many other Bristolian fathers. I was brought here nearly every Sunday and always allowed a bit of a treat from one of the many food tents or vans (during a time when 'street food' was another word for 'getting a kebab from what looks like a small caravan down a dark road in St. Phillips'.) I loved the food back then, and the children of those men cooking food back then have replaced them twenty years later to continue cooking great food to this day.
I honestly think it's the location of the best pakora's and bhaji's in Bristol.
The market itself is not the sort 'artisinal' market you might see on a cobblestone road in Wells. It's the market where you go to get a phone unlocked or a bin liner full of uncooked chicken wings for a tenner. The butchers hold the meat above their heads and scream prices at people like a mad cultist. You can pick up power tools, childrens toys or an Addiddas (spelled that way) tshirt. It's not to everyones taste, but I bloody love the place. It provides food for reasonable prices, clothes kids affordably and the first stepping stone for business savvy boys that know how to unbrick a phone or chip an xbox their first little venture.
The market is every Sunday 9am - 3pm and well worth a look in.
Wholesale but public welcome open 5am til 11am

Great place, for fruit, veg , bits and pieces, not as great as what it used to be, it would take up all the market, toys clothes bags shoes everything now it's down to half the size, sad as places like this, are slowly going... ☹️
