The Biggest ASDA in Edinburgh. They offer a wide variety of products at competitive prices while being well stocked. I am particularly satisfied with the fact that they offer good healthy food options. The staff is very helpful and I usually find someone to help me out quickly. Their delivery service works great and so does their click and collect service. Very accessible, many bus lines passing by or even right in front of the entrance.

I always find it better to shop early morning or late at night when it is less busy. Variety of selections , although did notice some of the staff not wearing their masks properly in store. Otherwise no issues.

The new revamped customer services area and restaurants are pretty good upgrade to the store but the main store aisles are simply too narrow, especially at the freezer cabinets. Causes too much aggravation.

So unfortunately I have had to again shop in person, fortunately Asda have updated their store so it looks new, though it's pretty poorly designed, and the inclusion of a sushi bar is obviously something I'm not meant to understand. In general I prefer using the large store as generally they will have all my items in stock. I use the scan & pay because it is a no brainer, you load the items into the trolley, then you have to unload it all again at the till, to then have to rebag it all.... scan & pay gets rid off all that ridiculousness, scan the item, put it in the bag ... done (and if your sly you might forget to scan a item, luckily for Asda I'm not that type). Obviously the self service checkouts are a bit of a mess especially with C19 regulations, luckily the scan & pay section is separate and always empty so no close contact in a little pen, all that heavy breathing isn't good for you, or something like that. They still have concessionary stores though I'm no sure if anyone ever uses them. At first I thought they were a fake backdrop until someone moved... It is also really really no nice to randomly move items to the other end of the aisle. I have a fairly good battle plan that gets me around the store as quickly as possible. I know what I want and where it is..but oh no they fight back trying to confusing me into buying something different...not gonna happen Asda. So it is what it is, a large supermarket designed to steal as much of your money as possible whilst pretending to help you, but we need to eat so it is what it is... 🖖

Bad for ,substitution food if I wanted another product ,I wouldn't have asked for said brand and close to sell buy alot ,always get fruit in packs like satsumas, grapes etc but asked for banana 🍌 pack and got 1 single banana twice sharp as the staff lol

Amazing staff, my friend lost her car keys and her son has learning difficulties and was getting very worried and anxious while we were trying to find them the staff at this store were amazing and helped with her son amd offered us a taxi home and food for the kids while we waited. Thankfully we found keys. Thank you staff at portobello asda!! 💫💫

I had been buying from this ASDA for months. They offer a wide variety of products at competitive prices while being well stocked. I go there often, even though I live quite far. They have all you could think of, a huge variety of products and their freshly made foods taste amazing. Quality and good prices is what I'd say about Asda.. Also, if you're in doubt and need assistance finding a product, their customer assistants will help you find what you need. Definetly recommend for saving money and for finding a wide range of offers.

Scampi and chips and peas for 5 Pounds. The cafe is clean and attractive, the staff are friendly and the toilets are good (well the gent's anyway). The Scampi were a bit overdone, difficult to get a fork into, but otherwise OK. Dearer than Morrisons but the cafe is nicer and the service is quicker.

The staff are a fantastic argument for the rise of self service checkouts. Even then, the ones whose only job is to help when the machines go haywire don't bother. They stand about doing nothing and staring into space for half a year beforehand. It's a shame as the shop itself is massive, well stocked and the shelf stackers are usually happy to help. Sadly the faces of the store are grumpy and clearly don't want to be there. Hard to blame them as retail is hell, but you're paid to pretend you love it.

Got pizzas from the pizza counter. Bloke on the counter with tattoos. Was friendly and polite. And took the time to strike up conversation showing he takes pride in his job. A credit to himself and the company. Will be back.

This is a fabulous store, they have a post office, Cafe and shoe zone. But best of all they have a creche facility that means Parents can drop their children off to play in the soft play rather than drag them around the shops whilst they try and get their weekly shopping in. It definitely takes the stress out of shopping and doesn't cost an arm and a leg for good quality childcare as all staff are fully qualified. Well done Asda for thinking of Parents and their children by providing this service.

I was at asda today with my husband and grandson who's 10 months when going through the checkout the woman was scanning very fast never asked if I needed help to pack and just kept pushing the items down , I said your going a bit fast her reply was I've got to scan 25 items a min, I'm sorry I think this is wrong I said what about the customer he reply was the same, god help someone who is disabled or pensioner that's goes to her !

The shop is good but the phone service is absolutely shokin, had to phone 5 times the automatedsservice sending me to the wrong place every time then the staff would try n put me through to get through to the games department Each time gettin cut off after 10-15 mins while still ringing, the games department eventually answers on the first ring after I made a complaint about the phone service, when the games department answered the woman had an attitude problem.

I had a very good experience. at Asda Jewel.Everything was exactly where I needed to find it. At the checkout I was lucky to walk right on to a checkout and was served straight away.10 out of 10. for Asda.

We looked everywhere to get the Spiraloo in 4 Asda's throughout the country (Cumbernauld, Falkirk, Larbert and then we went to Jewel) in the baby event. We found ourselves in that area of the city, so popped in to see if it was there and it was. We were delighted. This is a huge store and we thought it was amazingly convenient. The only reason we lost a star here was because the car park was awkward to navigate and we felt there were not enough child/parent spaces for the size of Asda it was.
