this grocery shop deserves 10 stars! Not only for the food quality, selection, variety, but also because it has the friendliest and nicest owner, always welcoming you with a warm smile :)

A proper old style grocers with the friendliest shopkeeper you'll ever meet. However lurking under the old fashioned surface lies a cornucopia of wonders ranging from amazing seasonal asparagus to Morangie brie from Tain. Gorgeous cold extract olive oils, lovely locally baked bread, Chinese sauces, French cassoulet, Italian pastries. Please shop here before going to Sainsburys or Tesco. Long may Fraser Mac stay open.

Lovely little shop, friendly service. The fact that they are one of the only shops in town to supply Spanish ginger has me going back regularly. Why most places only supply Chinese ginger is beyond comprehension. Good supply of ingredients when I'm in the mood to make a Fabada. Thank you McLeod!

They don't advertise coffee outside or as a coffee shop, but this is one of the best latte coffees I've had in Edinburgh, stock on shelves look nice as well but try the coffee !!!
