Reviews of Joppa Newsagents

My 'corner shop' with friendly family staff who go the extra mile for you. Even my parcel returns are no problem and Callum is always happy to help. If something isn't there Jacky arranges to get it for you. In my case - 'Henry Goode' liquorice.❤️
Always a pleasure to shop there. 👍😁

Absolutely amazing, I could lick the floor and not get tetanus, this is peak hygiene.
I also saw a so so cute grey cat walk in and the kind owner fed it dreamies.
I also got beat up outside the shop by a boy who had blonde ish hair and a blue jacket, I attached a photo of what happened to my iPad but that’s not the point, the point is that the staff are absolutely outstanding and helped me with my problems
10/10 would buy from again

Fantastic family-run shop with a real community feel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, and it's a great hub for keeping up with all the local gossip. Keep up the good work - we'd be lost without you!!

Scruffy little shop, but it’s always open when I need to drop off parcels and the people who work there are very nice. No complaints from me!

I’ve used Joppa Newsagents a couple of times to return Hermes parcels.
The young lad (Callum I think), is so smiley and friendly. What a difference going into a shop and being made to feel you are a valued customer.
Today I took an awkward shaped parcel and the lady owner and her assistant helped me tape and secure it.
They go above and beyond with their customer service.
Great wee shop, lovely people.

Joppa newsagents is always a pleasant experience for me no matter when I shop . The staff are always so friendly and helpful. I recently took a parcel which I wanted to post internationally by Hermes . It was pretty time consuming. Hayley was very patient and helpful . I have had a similar experience with a young man . What a big difference to have this experience. It makes me return.

Great wee shop, lovely , friendly family, very important part of the neighbourhood. Starts my day on a cheery footing, always someone to say hello to and my 90 year old mother in law always comments on how patient and helpful they are to her when she pops in as well!

My daily visit to Joppa News is always a pleasure. This is a family run business, where everyone is very friendly, and the ship is a key part of the community in Joppa. The pies on a Saturday are the best pies available in the world and for a small shop it stocks plenty of useful things - superglue, stamps and beach mats among them.

Great little corner shop. The staff are so friendly and your always greeted with a hello.
If you can't find what you need, they will help you as much as they can.
A good little community shop.

Great shop. Staff are fantastic +sells everything a corner-store should sell. Opens 365 day's of the year, so not many shops do that for their customers. Will always shop there very handy.

Great newsagents, first class friendly service and family run business. I use this shop daily, I highly recommend the steak mince pies, available on Saturdays.
Always well stocked.
Highly recommended!!!

Joppa Newsagents is an Edinburgh seaside gem. A very friendly and inviting, family-run business with everything you need. Continues to amaze with the variety of plentiful supplies - from sellotape to Santa costumes this small shop has it all. It is indeed the family-atmosphere which brings this Joppa stalwart to life and even on the darkest most coldest days you are welcomed with a smiling face. Nothing beats waking up on a Saturday morning, feeling slightly tender from one too many at the orm the night before, and taking a jaunt over to the shoap to sample one of their hot fresh pies. The steak mince pie is a favourite. As I take my first bite and break the golden crust, the oozing peppery steak gravy tantalises my taste buds and warms my stomach, cleansing my soul and renouncing my sins from the previous night's debauchery. One pie is never enough and must be supplemented by one of Scotland's greatest aperitifs, Irn-bru. Simply delightful. I digress, Joppa Newsagents has been the keystone within the community for many years and long may it continue.

In here to get paper and lotto tickets, good service as always, hence why I go there at least every week.

Joppa News is not just a great newsagents and cornershop. From dawn to dusk seven days a week Jacqui, Wullie and their son Callum run a first class service that cares about the community, listens to folk and adapts to their needs. A rare thing.

Beer cold sam miguel - tick. Wine cold white secretary Bird - tick. Pies macaroni mince and steak - tick tick tick. All this and the best service with a smile that can be offered . All staff go the extra yard for you not to mention a biscuit for the dog every visit. Hibs class . An asset to joppa
