Visited twice and tried several menus, it is hard to pick one favorite because everything tasted awesome! must visit if you are looking for authentic Italian food in Edinburgh. They also have sandwich and pizza :)

I’m new to living in Edinburgh and while wandering the city today, I stopped in on a whim after seeing the beautiful contents of the window display case. I moderated myself and only got one ricotta & chocolate chip cannolo and one pistachio cannolo. These might be the best cannoli I’ve ever had?? The filling was lush, fresh, and soft, without being runny, and the shell was shatteringly crisp. I can’t wait to come back to try the spinach arancini and sample more pastries!

A fantastic addition to the local area, looks like a great selection of Italian ingredients are available as well as home baked dishes. The homemade pasta selection looks great and something I look forward to trying in future. The focaccia has a beautiful fluffy texture, and the cannoli a delight.

Hands down the best Italian food in Edinburgh I was walking past in morning and seen them making fresh pasta and preparing for the day and it just looked incredible. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Some of the best tasting Italian you can find. Sweet or savoury, dinner or lunch, quick bite or the naughty secret to your family dinners crowning meal. What you will find here is fantastic; real food; that will teach you the meaning of bellissimo!

Dropped by for the first time and picked up mushroom and truffle gnocchi. It tasted great! also a sfogliatella which was the reason I went by hoping I could find one. Will definitely return when I’m in town.

Have lived round the corner from this place for over a year and never thought to visit - what a mistake that was. Popped in today for a birthday lunch, tried the arancini and the pasta. Incredibly good food, very reasonably priced, and a very friendly and helpful team member behind the counter! Thank you Maria's!

The Italian pastries in this place are CLASS. For cannolis, for sfogliatelle, rum babas, and Struffoli, this is THE PLACE. At Christmas I had to fight my own mother for the last one in the box and she won. I have not tried the other things they offer but if they are as good as the pastries, this place is gold.

Absolutely delicious cannoli’s!! We thought they had sold out but the lovely lady who served us piped us two chocolate chip cannoli’s fresh! Best I’ve ever had :)

The best sandwich you will ever put in your mouth. Honestly I think I would rather have a lunch from this place than get like a cheeky takeaway Saturday night. The meat is not only incredible quality but the portions are amazing and everything is handmade. Stockbridge classy 👌

Amazing fresh pasta/ravioli (ready meal or to cook at home), panini and desserts...Everything homemade. You can even find some Italian pantry goodies on the shelves...I adore coming here, always greeted with a smile and a Ciao Bella! Loads of vegetarian options as well...

Do your soul a favour and go try their pasta and cannolis (or anything else) ! It's better then pasta you would have at a restaurant but with the deli price! The owner is incredibly kind and my weekly highlight is coming here for a delicious pasta ! Could not give this place enough praise !

I had the pesto and mozzarella focaccia which was delicious. The fresh pasta is amazing, I had honey and ricotta triangles and loved them. The owner is very friendly as well. Highly recommend

Honestly the best pasta and foccacia I've had and wonderful people too. It was delicious and a beautiful texture, I'd eat there every lunchtime if I could 😊 also has vegan options!

The man in Maria's Kitchen is wonderful. He explained all of the food out on display, which was a great selection. We got a mushroom and truffle focaccia and a courgette and pesto focaccia as well as the fresh walnut sauce pasta. To top it all of we had a wonderful classic cannoli. Grazie for your service. After climbing Arthur’s Seat we found this pitch perfect Italian deli by chance as we walked towards Leith. With Rocco’s expert help chose buffalo mozzarella, tomato and pesto ciabatta, ricotta and chocolate cannoli, and a box of those pecorino and honey pasta parcels. All totally delicious. Already planning a return trip!
