Nice place to shop but can be more customer friendly and also explain what we are looking for is not what we were buying. We looked for sugar crystals and ended up buying resin gum. It could've been helpful if the shopkeeper explained what it was since he was listening to our conversation. A bit disappointing.

Best place to get Indian groceries and vegetables owner is from Tamilnadu. One stop destination for all your Indian needs . Even Indian brand biscuits like Good day, Parle G etc are available. Even pooja samagri God Idols are available . Best part is rates are reasonable. You get Idiappam flour mari appam floor too even it got Indian brand aashirvad aata, Jowar atta and bajra atta too. As I mentioned it is one stop destination for all your Indian needs.

If your missing Sri Lankan provisions in Glasgow this is the place. Deliveries of air freighted veg and fruit is on Thursdays. But there can be shortages of popular items. Staff are kind of helpful but can order items if not in stock, if you can pick up.

UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS REVIEW - REFUND GIVEN We were treated a bit rough initially by the owner Shasee when I said I would report to the authorities if we are denied the refund for being billed extra. I, as a woman, felt insulted and taken aback by his attitude when he threw the bill at me and challenged me. So, I stepped out wanting to report or take help. I met an Indian doctor (who runs a clinic next door) but he seemed busy. My husband followed me to say the owner has agreed to refund. When I stepped back in, found the Indian doctor inside the store. He consoled us as I broke down to tears feeling bad to go through all that with my asthma and medications on an empty stomach. Wanted to cause no interruptions to the store's business so had rushed in early. Shasee apologised profusely for the confusion in billing and gave us the refund £6 and change. A lesson for us as responsible consumers to double check the bill before leaving a store, no matter if there's a fire in the house or the cab driver is calling incessantly! The moral plight of having to prove yourself honest over another human being is painful for me. The other person doesn't deserve to be seen in a wrong light but for the awkward situation. Especially when you are happy to see, shop from and trust your own ilk in another land.

A small store on Maryhill road for all kind of foodstuff of the subcontinent. Groceries, spices, grains and some prepared packed food from the subcontinent. Was pleasantly surprised to find Dosa batter, premixed and ready for the pan or idli steamer. Idli is a South Indian rice cake made with a mix of lentils. It is steamed not baked.
