Very useful LIDL store in Leicester. Great amount of products. High quality for low value. Best stocked LIDL store in Leicester. Ideal for your daily shopping or weekly shopping. Very good quality in dairy products. Frequently brings food from other parts of Europe making "Italian week" or "Greek week". Fruits and veggies very fresh and nice. Good meats. Only has a small section of fish which could be bigger.

Lidl is my go to store. I like the deals and I know that things are changeable but I feel like the things they offer are definitely worth that change. Good for certain basics, I always get my cupboard fillers here for that reason. The store is generally clean but does get busy, so if you aren't happy about being in close contact with lots of people then check the busy times before you go.

The Gipsy lane store looks tired and needs rejuvenating. The shelves are untidy stock on floor or not stacked properly. Shelves could do with regular facing and some staff need refresher training on customer care. No hellos No thank you, no good byes. Its generally not bad but can soon go down rapidly. Could do with a mystery customer visit on different times of the day and weekend.

Great sized store. In store bakery. The store has an extensive range to choose from. Just keep in mind that you only have a maximum of 90 minutes in their carpark. Blue badge holders if you park in a disabled bay you too only have 90 minutes unless you have registered your vehicle registration plate details with the company that records the plate details on entry and exit.

The only thing that bothered me and my friend was that there were no attendents at the self checkout and one of our bills/transactions was cancelled due to long inactivity only due to the fault of the attendant, however we were charged £20 twice instead of once. Dissapointed with Lidl for the first time.

Definitely one of the best stores in the UK for me. I have been shopping in Lidl for almost 4 years now. I grew fond of the store the very first time I came here. Not only does it provide good quality marchandise for cheap prices, but the store also has a variety of goods from different European (mostly) and non European countries. If you are looking for freshly baked croissants, doughnuts, mini-pizzas and others, you can find them in Lidl. I usually only shop for food in there but they do have other convenience stuff. The most important thing to mention is that they devote a section every other week to goods brought from one specific country. I never miss the Italian week. They do some discounts most of the time, so if you are into saving, Lidl is your next destination. I'd really recommend though that they expand the variety of their goods to other Asian and African countries as many immigrants like myself shop from there. This will definitely increase their profits. I also recommend that they devote as much tills to check out as the number of their clients because I have to wait in a long queue every time I go there.

Not a well designed layout. Bakery near the entrance is a chokepoint and with people inexplicably visiting in large groups - shopping is not actually "going out,out" - it just makes shopping here stressful. If there is a queue, I go round the corner to Sainsbury.

I don't really shop here. But I do come here to get their freshly baked goodies that are baked in-store every day. Their baked goodies are brilliant especially their croissants and cookies. They also do savouries such as mini pizzas. If you go in the morning when they open you'll get freshly baked goodies before any rush and you'll have access to the full range of goods!

I go here everyday for my lunch. Great store and a good selection of lunch options. Bakery offers a fantastic section of pastries and breads. Small Eastern European woman with blonde hair is always at hand to support customers with their needs and always offers a friendly hello whenever she sees me. Yes self service can get crowded at times and yes I would like to see more staff on the tills but there are a number of brainless customers using the self service and often can be seen taking 1-2 minutes trying to find the bar-code on their products. These people should be banned from the self service.

good quality food at great prices. Due to the high turnover of stock there never is any old fruit or veg about this is a very good sign if your looking for fresh products. Excellent in-store bakery too with very reasonable breakfast items such as croissants, pain au chocolat and pain aux raisins to name a few of the many fresh bakery items available. Be wary when you get to the till tho, the cashiers are very quick so have your bags/boxes open and prepared ready to slide stuff in as soon as it's been scanned!

Lidl is my preferred shopping store, love the fresh smell of the bakery section and love the experience of the weekly items you bring into the stores especially the DIY tools etc, children books and accessories. Moreover, prices makes a huge difference to our choice of shopping and are glad Lidl provides that. The only criticism I have is the self check out which for little shopping is ok but for a full trolley can be frustrating.

I like Lidl. You have to take it for what it is but if you don't mind a bit of randomness with your shop you can save lots and occasionally get something amazing (smoked tuna for less than £3!!!! 😋) take your own bags and if you're budgeting write a list as even at Lidl prices you're bound to put some extras in that basket and rack up the cash (I went in for leeks and spent £20 😂) this branch is big and clean with a good selection and self checkouts.

Attractive looking for a discount store. Fantastically cheap, cheaper even than Aldi. An enormous range of varied produce, from loose pic-and-mix nuts to steaks to melons and beyond. A good world food section including Polish produce. The vegetables are fresh and well presented, no mouldy potatoes or onions here (unlike it's competitor across the road!). Friendly staff who are happy to help and don't mind if you turn up ten minutes before closing time and attempt to do a full shop. Ample parking available. Beats Aldi without much effort. Self checkout is available so you can nip in and out fast. Not bad. I was impressed.

I have used this branch of Lidl a dozen times the low rating is due to: The store toilet, I know not many Lidl's have customer toilets but more often than not its out of order. Self service tills ok if you have a basket of shopping, not good if your basket contains age restricted or reduced goods, if you have a trolly full of goods you wonder around until you find a member of staff, they then just shout a till number at you becsuse you have inconvenienced them, that's why Aldi I my number one preferred grocery shop. In store bakery is a no no unless you get there as they open, people /creatures with very poor hygiene standards using their hands to pick out items touching other items getting theirs out instead of using the tongues provided, disgusting 🤢

Great value shop in the city centre giving some healthy competition to aldi we prefer lidl for its fresh pastry and bread ad well as seasonal goods but aldi is the go to for regular shops that are usually slightly higher in quality to lidl. Parking is hard to find often times but is free.
