Fantastic shop. Always has my favourite foods when I go there. One of the best tamil food shops in leicester. The staff are friendly aswell. I once went there and they were so helpful, They called a taxi for me to go home as I had alot of shopping.

This shop is always open whenever I drive past, but I never really had a reason to go inside up until today. Last night, I was suffering at home with the standard seasonal cold and flu that we all seem to get at this time of year. Posted a pic of my ginger, honey and lemon drink on Instagram when a friend of mine messaged me and recommended "samahan". I had no idea what it was, so looked it up on Google. I then discovered it is an ayurvedic tea from Sri Lanka, so immediately thought of the Suganthey store. Nothing to lose. I've just gone in and bought a packet of it for £6 - Cheaper than Ebay, got it right away and supporting a local business! What more could you wish for?! (Except I hope it sorts out my man flu!) IT'S TEA TIME!!

Very good place, big range of fresh produce inc real banana leaves, and many more. Quite reasonable prices but not everything has price labels so bill can go easily up without knowing. Love their fresh cooked range too! Very yummy kottu, rolls,fish buns and more!

Amazing place to shop at for any Sri lankan goods you need. The staff are friendly and the quality of the products are great. They have a good range of vegetables that are fresh and they have a range of foods. Would recommend!

Sri Lankan and Indian groceries are available here. You can also buy fresh Sri Lankan short eats. Very friendly customer service. You also get frozen Sri Lankan koththu, biriyani, frozen fish, crab. There is also wide range of fresh Sri Lankan vegetable which is sent via air cargo all the way from Sri Lanka. You can order idiyappam, make sure you call and order in advance, mostly before Thursday.

We usually make a visit to this shop when we visit Leicester, from Nottingham. Most of the time, there is great produce and we usually leave with a number of bags of shopping. If possible, there should be a variety of fruits which would push my rating to 5 stars.
