This is a great grocery shop, it has plenty of variety of dinners teas fresh bread daily, lovely bacon and sausage, cooked meats,freshly cooked chicken, pies it's just great for everything. The staff are all lovely. This is the best shop in kirkby

The people are lovely but I mean this is listed as a chinese market and I can never find any chinese food except korean noodles, even the sweet potatoes are british so why is this listed as a chinese.....market?

Locally known as "Thora's" Broad Lane Food Market is like stepping back in time to your local grocers. They pack a lot of products into a small space which includes a well stocked meat counter selling fresh pork/flavoured sausages - cooked sliced meats such as chopped pork, best ham, brawn, stuffed pork, beef - bacon etc. There's three aisles and two tills serving customers. What can you get here? Foodwise: Tinned products - tea/coffee - biscuits - bread - milk - sugar - cereals - eggs and noodles - packet sauces/soups. Tomato/brown sauces - soy - pickles - mayo - chilli sauces. There's a deli section selling cream cakes - pastries such as pies/sausage rolls - yoghurt - cheeses. You can buy fresh fruit&vegetables here too. There's a small but well stocked salt/pepper/herbs shelf. There's several freezers as you walk in with pizzas - ready meals - meat products - bags of siu mai! Household products from light bulbs to toilet rolls, detergent to air fresheners and bin bags. Candles - matches - shoelaces - drawing pins. . .I could go on forever it seems! The staff are really helpful and pleasant here too!
