Reviews of Marks and Spencer
K. G.
Busy store and cafe. My partner and I stopped off at the cafe, for tea, hot choc, and a light lunch, before setting off for more shopping. Plenty of tables and staff clearing them regularly as people leave. The queues at the till are dealt with quickly
I. G.
Very friendly and helpful service by Kath at the Home Dept. Even though the queue was very long, she took the time to make certain that the car pick up service can be used. It occurred seamlessly.Thank you very much and have a blessed Christmas
B. F.
Had a bra fitting on Wednesday in Church Street ,Husband has Alzheimers so I took him to a bar he knows ,told him to stay there, told the lovely lady my situation, anyway he left tge bar to find me missed him by seconds, the lady who's name I didn't get brought him to the bar ,I was nearly in tears ,so lovely of her
S. B.
Had a lovely experience being helped around by a young gentleman by the name of Ryan, I was struggling to find some clothing for my Husband for him to wear this cold Christmas season and he walked around with me showing what product was better than the other and walked me over to the till and served me himself.
But while I was being served another member of staff going by the name of Pat came over and had such a horrible attitude treating Ryan with such disrespect that even I myself was in complete shock that I didn't even know what to do or say.
Quite frankly I am disgusted and still am by the actions of this member of staff, 0/5 stars.
5/5 would go again if Ryan was going to be the one to serve me.
D. S.
Very tasty afternoon tea for a very cheap price at its own cafeteria. Lots selection of best quality cheesecakes and desserts can be found in the food court. The staffs were friendly and helpful.
J. H.
Today I was early Christmas Shopping for my grand kids and I met the loveliest M&s worker… her name was Algida and nothing was too much for her.! She helped me choose what to buy.., served me on check outs and stopped to have a little chat about my grandchildren. It was so lovely to chat to her, she truly made my shopping experience enjoyable. Well, as enjoyable as Christmas Shopping can be! Ha ha ha
Thank you Algida, you are a true asset to Marks and Spencer 😊Xx.. Jackie x

Great plant based options. The bakery is delish too.
D. W.
Always love m & s... food is always quality..and has a good range of different things to try and eat
J. S. (.
Great variety of produce at Liverpool's Church Street branch
D. P.
Food of great quality, many times I prefer it from the typical super markets and do my regular grocery shopping here!!
S. K.
I shop here regularly its a well set out store staff are friendly and helpful , great food be it fresh or ready made meals when you just want something quick because you've been at work all day ! Also has great offers on meal deals and fresh meat products .
s. g.
Great store, well laid out, very well organised social distance, staff polite, friendly and professional. Highly Recommended.
E. B.
Maturing my walk in Marks and Spencer is just regular. Stunning but pricey
Just the way I like it
C. L.
Shelves for some items look a little empty. But that is to be expected. But got want i need.Staff helpful as ever.
C. A.
Great M&S food Hall always well stocked, very helpful staff, can get busy best times early morning or early evening
A. A.
It is so delicate and high quality store ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
M. P.
Excellent quality food, beautiful flowers and excellent service at the till checkout. Very helpful staff.
E. E.
Nice shop and everything is nice but expensivee
T. H.
Usually well stocked and a good variety of items on the shelves, although my last Saturday PM visit some of the shelves where getting a little empty. It's best to visit early on in the day to ensure you can pick up everything you wanted. Staff are always friendly and are on hand to guide you to the items you're looking for.
K.
when I feel like spending bit extra or feel like a treat ill always pop in for something from there plant kitchen range, never disappointed and the store is always clean
L. N.
Love M & S food.. always a good selection, and I haven't had anything I didn't like yet.
P. C.
Well stocked shelves, lots of choice.
Busy, but still easy to get around with trolley.
K. W.
Great range of food. Some on special offer.
A. C.
Stacey the lovely lady who served me was so warm and welcoming 🙏 thankyou so much for helping me out.
M. F.
Excellent choice of top quality product .
Not cheap but never disappointing .
y.
Very helpful staff. Excellent quality for fresh and frozen food. They even got frozen itsu gyosa! Lovely!
S. B.
The foods on offer here are wide ranging and always good quality. I like the range of fruits and vegetables and also the bread-sourdough is usually available (and brown!) And also Cholla bread if you are quick-it is delicious 😊
E. M.
Staff are very helpful and friendly
J. P.
Good products, slightly expensive but expected from an M&S. They seemed to lack any control over customers during the pandemic period, absolutely chocker with people.. Other than that, not bad.
S. K.
This is a lovely shop and was being renovated outside when we visited. The cafe was efficient and serves great food!
N. D.
Beautiful clean great products great staff a shop marks and Spencer should be proud of
L. M.
Busy and streesful dont like it find southport 1 quieter and less stressful.
R. C.
I went to get my bar fitted the service I received was excellent the member of staff was had loads of patience and loads of knowledge about the product I would certainly go back there my appointments was 12.30 on the 22nd of May thanks you for your kindness
L. R.
Top quality great service always nice to visit
G. R.
Small choices short on food to fill shelves
C. D.
Got what I wanted, well laid out
e. b.
staff are lovely…. not much more to say
J. B.
Love the food in here always fresh good choice.
M. P.
Love the foodhall here, best microwave foods out of all the supermarkets. Crispy duck is a 10* absolutely lovely food well better than anywhere!
N. W.
Nice place, the most local loo as well if you're shopping and you need a pit stop.
J. M.
Early morning visit so nice and quiet, quick checkout and plenty of choices
J. R.
Food good quality and staff good
W. T. G.
We were served by Ryan Nee. Great and helpful service! Well done!
S. C.
I hadn't been shopping in Liverpool M & S food hall since Feb 20 + didn't know what to expect
I shopped around 17.30 and it wasn't crowded and easy to move around safely re: social distancing e.g. stickers placed 2m apart on floor at tills so felt safe throughout plus staff were friendly and helpful so am confidant l can repeat this experience again
C. R.
Lovely lady served me (Sue) I saved 40% on my purchases for 1) being a Sparks cardholder 2) it is my birthday and 3) there is 20% off trousers and leggings. Got £67.50 worth of goods for£35 - I am delighted, M&S is and always has been my favourite shop, thank you go for making my birthday extra special xx
w. c.
Just brilliant staff. Always willing to go the extra mile when you cannot find something.
M. M.
Pleasant helpful staff. I suppose it's the time of the year but some of the isles have more than 1 stock cage in which can make it difficult to get to the things you want to buy. Any other time of the year I would have given 5 stars, but they are not alone most food shops are the same
G. U.
Desperate for a refit. So dark that we couldn't distinguish the different shades of grey when choosing school trousers. Everything else was Ok. It was quiet and there seemed to be reasonable measures in place, so felt covid safe. Staff were pleasant.
K. B.
Brilliant shopping experience.
A. H.
Nice staff & good bakery
S. D.
Lovely shopping experience,
Shop floor staff so pleasant and always on hand to help... till staff so lovely and always helpful,
Such a nice place to shop
B. B.
This store is always beautifully laid out, and it's great to have a central Marks' to pick up high quality basics. Per Uno also often have clothes that are a little bit different with the same high quality but not insane prices. Some good bargains to be had in their sale today
C. B.
Great choice and always something worth trying.
K. J.
The food on offer is wonderful, especially Bread selection, but make sure you check the use by date on the fresh produce.
T. B.
Very tidy and organised. Shoe area was a bit cluttered and not very pram friendly.
T. K.
I only visited the food hall, I'm sure that as usual the food that I bought will be delicious and is surprisingly good value when taking into account the 'meal deals'.
This would have been a five star review but despite my going early to beat the lunch-time rush there was very limited choice for one of the meal deals I wanted to purchase and after speaking to a member of staff it appears that no further stock was available.
f. l.
Well organised for COVID-19. Big store with lots of stock.
When you visit the store make sure to look up at the building because it is one of the most beautiful buildings in Liverpool, very ornate and baroque.
L. S.
Went with my wife who got what she wanted so no problems there, though both of us agreed that M&S have lost their way with the women's fashion. It looks old fashioned and the quality looks cheap. Shame.
m. t.
Quality over quantity is this place. Lovely
R. H.
Enjoyable Lots of various bits and bobs to take home seems to be crowded again but staff friendly will return very soon
R. D.
Always fresh produce and great for that little bit special extra treat
R. P.
One of my favourite shops although mostly for food. Will be better when refurbishment on front of building is sorted. Church Street gets rather congested with all of the railings at front of the building.
Great offers on Chinese/Indian food at present.
Two sides and two starters for £10 Great value.
D. M.
A very nice store for food items covid alert social distancing in place must wear mask in store staff very plesent and helpfull thay have moved mens clothes downstairs not a lot though, but still good well worth a visit with most shops closed Derek moores 🇬🇧👍😁
h. b.
LOVE the staff in here! Every time I come in the team upstairs always chat to me are so friendly and funny too. Good prices, could do with a little more choice in styles feels a bit safe at the moment
L. C.
Plenty of tasty gluten free food available in the shop.but only soup available in the cafe with rolls .I didn't ask if they had any Cake so I went to the good catch in at Johns precinct for a lovely gluten free lunch
V.
After a short wait outside, I eventually got in store after coming back from Cheshire oaks. Picked up a basket to shop in food hall when fire alarm started going off, we was all ushered out of nearest exit with social distancing in place. After around 20 min it was found to be a false alarm. Let back in again and continued with my shopping. Not many tills open so went through the self serve tills. Member of staff on this section was very efficient after each customer used the tills she went to them to sanitise all areas and move the baskets used. Didnt get chance to shop anywhere else as it was nearly 5.30pm so cant comment on other floors and departments
m. W.
Yo can't go wrong here, great shopping and loads of free parking, although it can get gridlocked at weekends
R. T.
Good food Hall nice food
L. C.
A lovely well presented store. We have purchased many items from here in the past but not in this occasion. The staff are very helpful and the toilets are very clean. There is a serious lack of trollies which is a problem for parents with young children as it is on a shopping estate so not often we would use a pram.
G. A.
It's an M&S ofc it's going to be nice! The biggest downside is that I could only find one spot of 4G in there so if you're buying things for mates and want advice make sure you're 100% first. While there's plenty of self-checkouts and manned checkouts there's a fair bit of queuing but I gather this is more user ineptitude with machines than any particular fault, as staff move things along nicely. From what I've seen the staff are top notch and friendly. If you want a quality birthday cake I recommend the chocolatey-ist one, t'was brilliant 👌🏻
P. D. A.
I loohed everywhere for ladies hankies. In several shops I was greeted with a confused but at Marks and Spenser they understood what I wanted. They were out of stock. Please stock them again. Make great presents.
T. L.
Big M&S, good foodhall and now has started doing Aldi big 6 offers style thing on fruit and veg.
The self checkouts are good, and always open.
They haven't got a reduced section as such, and lots of reductions available on the shelves
P. T.
Good.Wss this the one in Liverpool or Sutton as done both recently
P. B. (.
Almost no staff available to help, clothes on the floor on the ground floor. The first floor was slightly better but queue times were long. Staff member was helpful and friendly when we found them.
The layout and in store directions are poor making finding specific things difficult e.g. The Collection range was not marked out. Got there in the end thiugh.
V. H.
Returned an item because I have lost a little weight. Very efficient and speedy service. Great coffee shop, lovely cakes with good choice. Would recommend it.
l. k.
Shopped in the clothes department, reasonable prices
M. M.
Good old Marks and Sparks. Good location. Not happy with decision to remove Cafe to go bar on the ground floor, had to go all the way to the first burning calories.... who wants that 🤣
r. B.
The service is friendly helpful and very quick. I was directed to the department I needed and helped once there. The aisle are lovely and wide so wheelchair accessibility I imagine would not be a problem. A huge variety and also the food shopping is great
C. B.
I do love M&S but like all the supermarkets it's trying hard to compete on prices. Offers e. g 3for £10 etc and market fruit and veg etc. all good buys but cakes and pastry goods still a lot more expensive.
R. N.
Called in today for my wife's favourite cakes pineapple fondants a lovely store to shop in
L. B.
I am over 60 and was looking for a dress but they only seem to cater for the young now.
It's very sad that my age group appear to have been forgotten.
5/10 years ago I'd have been spoilt for choice.
There aren't many shops that cater for my age group anymore.
I want elegant and reasonably modern but I don't want it split to the top of my thigh and cut almost to the waist.
It's very sad 😕😕
I would love to speak to someone high up and ask them what their designers are doing.
A. C.
I love it here can not afford it all the time but when I can the food is delicious. I want everything
A. C.
Just been served by Christina here today .... didn't have my size jacket so she phoned through to our Chester store to reserve one for me.
Many thanks Christina for your wonderful help & super customer service.
c. l.
I was at Mark's and Spencer today I wasn't feeling well I had a migraine so I asked an assistant to help as I couldn't read the labels because I couldn't see out of my wright eye she was extremely helpful in helping me to choose which grocery I needed she also took me to the main desk to serve me and supplied me with water so I could take some medicine she was the concered about me getting home I told her I would be. I would like to highly recommend her on her help and assistance unfortunately I didn't get her name I thought it would be on the receipt so I could thank her again .I live on the Wirral but I like the food and other things from Mark's and Spencer .
A. T.
Typical M & S, what more could I add.
Chuffed because I wanted a lightweight summer dressing gown and M&S had one for me. Many other shops did not stock them.
M. (.
Always go here for me & my daughter underwear good quality. I made the mistake going to Primark for me and my daughter a few year's ago the underwear didn't last long got holes in them and shrunk in the wash after a few washers
M. M.
It has good items and when on sale they have some bargains. It's big over 3 floors and has a supermarket but I find it difficult to navigate. However it's the only place that I can find selling brushed cotton bed sheets and duvets. My only problem with M&S is that clothes styles are very dated and even for me over 40 would not wear anything from M&S.
F. L.
Prices quite reasonable but choices not so great. Personally I feel M&S need to get a grip on reality, check what the competition is doing and provide people with what they want.
M. M.
Lovely shop lovely good on offer, clothes old fashioned and pricey. Clothes need to be brought more up to date and a reasonable price to encourage a younger clientele who spend a lot of money on their attire.
C. S.
Always good food here, staff are very helpful.
P. B.
I don’t often write reviews but I felt a member of staff from Liverpool needed recognition for her fantastic service !! My daughter needed some urgent help when choosing a bra today. Paula from lingerie was due to finish work, but as no other assistant was available, ( we hadn’t booked) she stayed and helped with the fitting .We made the right purchase because of Paula’s commitment and great customer service which we really appreciate !! Thank you !!!
E. G.
M&S food still lovely, fresh and sometimes surprising. Love the breads, veggies, vegan meals and fruit. High quality with no waste.
A. J.
Good place to go to,but not at x'mas time it's pack with people N cannot enjoy yourself. And D X'mas dinner was 50/50 as D Turkey was too dry N D rest is Ok N I won't be ordering that meal again.
阿.
The foods are ok but I find them expensive. The clothing department is not my ideal place to buy my clothes as I think they are more suited for the older generations. I could buy a good brand name clothing for the price they charge. The prices they charge for clothes are more expensive in Asia.
O. A.
Always lovely to come here. Things are always neatly placed and well arranged no matter how busy the store is, the staff are very knowledgeable about the products especially on the lingerie floor and they will assist you in making a good choice where you are not sure what to look for .
J. M.
Clothes not very inviting for myself, my daughter and definitely not my granddaughters. Age ranges from 70s down to14
Food still very good
D. J. (.
Bought pair of shorts here, because I had voucher. They are very well made and looked and felt good on my recent holiday.
A's a man I always find shopping at M and S difficult, as there are very few staff to ask for help.
Because of this I usually shop locally at Matalan, which also has few staff but now has a coffee shop.
c. b.
Great store got every thing got to go early as stock go's quick
s. t.
Stock levels can be a bit hit and miss. Staff great
P. G.
Pleased with how easy the on-line process was. They were ready as promised at the time of collection. Payment made and the whole process completed. Great. Criticism? The Lamb joint! Serves four it says! We will be lucky to serve two!
C. C.
M&S seem to have woken up recently regarding what their shoppers may be looking for. I hope so. Today's visit could have persuaded me that at least they are listening.
Beautifully set out store.
W. L.
There's something slightly depressing about this store now and hope M&S can get their mojo back. I seemed to be the youngest person in the store which is a shame because their clothes are still of good quality and a good selection. So why did I shop there? Well I needed a somewhat boring white shirt that was going to last. M&S sprang to mind but it's a back handed compliment.
The staff touch points are now reduced to the till as there are very few staff on the floor. As a result they really have to make the effort to provide a point of difference. I was served promptly and efficiently but it was no more than that. No smile, no thank you, but pleasant enough.
The menswear section is dark. Halogen spot lights and dark wood all lead to an oppressive feel that makes you not to want to linger. There's little in the way of displays or suggestions of outfits which is how a store can significantly upsell items when compared to online shopping. Yet even online shopping has the usual "you may also like these" type of suggestions, so why this store only has a rather bereft manaquin in a pair of shorts, is beyond me.
So 4 stars for quality and choice. I really wanted to give 3, but I still love this store and it deserves to do well.
The choice is good and the different lines are on trend so it's certainly worth an explore, especially as it's so conveniently situated.
A. C.
Nice store and very friendly staff. I was there to buy a suit, unfortunately the trousers were a very poor fit so ended up just getting the suit jacket and will buy some trousers from elsewhere.
I. P.
One of my favorite stores for men's fashion in Liverpool. The store is big with 3 floors and has great selection of formal apparel for men. You can get your stuff tailored and the staff is very helpful and friendly
C. D.
Staff on liñgerie fitting room were very helpful, I didn't feel very well whilst there but they were very kind. The assistant at the tills was also very helpful and gave me details of item to order and phone number for Liverpool in case I wanted to enquire if it was back in stock. I only gave four stars as the item I wanted was not in stock .
M. S. C.
Being a slightly younger than the usual customer, I was unsure that M&S could provide a suitable suit needed for an upcoming occasion. I found the staff to be helpful with plenty of advice and always eager to point out my options. I am sad to say I had tried three other well known stores, two did not offer any help at all and the third tried to convince me that a tent looked good as a suit. So thanks to M&S staff for your help, you made one aspect of dad's passing easier.
l. s.
Love marks and sparks for there Jean's. Best fit ever with decent deep pockets .very helpful and pleasant staff . Sales are good as well for picking up a good bargain .
g. j.
Went in to buy jeans. They now have members of staff that are there especially to help u choose and give advice. The girl that helped me couldn't do enough., was really helpful
Thank you Rachel
J. T.
I went there today to buy a suit and a man in the suit department was very helpful. He took my sizes, helped me find a suit, gave me a shirt and shoes to try on the suit with and guided me through the process. Very good customer service. Very rare these days.
B. T.
Nice to be able to go shopping with husband and find clothes that fit him! Most shops cater for young, slim people not older, rotund men who still take a pride in their appearance.
G. S.
We went to mands to get our 2 small boys their new school uniforms. We feel that the quality is good and the price is reasonable. Would recommend
J. C. S.
A big store with plenty of variety, however it's the food section I use more often so that's what I'm reviewing today.
Just like the rest of the store it's big, with lots of rows of products. At the end of most days you can get great offers on reduced products. However the bigger store unfortunately leads to busier shopping space, so on a busy Saturday when everyone is rushing around before their Saturday night plans it can get a big too hectic. My advice? Go in with a plan (e.g. 1 x Christmas Sandwich, 1 x BBQ Crisp, 1 x fruit, 1 x bag of chocolate peanuts (they are amazing)) and get to the tills and get out - don't think you'll have time to think in the store.
L. W.
Excellent variety and fresh food. Even vegans are well catered for, I hope they continue to increase the range for vegans.
V. B.
I am sitting in the cafe at M& S Liverpool after enjoying a warming bowl if spicy lentil soup with bread rolls. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient
E. C.
A pretty standard Marks and Spencers, across three floors, complete with men's and women's clothing, homewares, cosmetics, a cafe and food hall. Staff are friendly, the store is easy to navigate and prices are typical for M&S.
J. P.
Visited Aintree Retail Park M&S and enjoyed a good shopping experience as usual. The staff are very helpful and were able to offer information about certain items I was looking for 😁👍
C. G.
The cafe used to be the best M&S cafe I've been in but recently it seems to have gone downhill a lot. Went at dinner time today and they had no children's meals or drinks, very disappointing.
T. M.
Better if you're an old person, most clothes appear designed with pensioners in mind. Food hall excellent, but aforementioned coffin dodgers will be wandering around aimlessly, like the zombies in Dawn of the Dead, even though it's Saturday and they could have gone on LITERALLY ANY OTHER DAY.
T. B.
A large M&S store, in a good location for shopping trips. The staff in the Men's suits section were very helpful when I was deciding on the right fit for a lovely navy blue blazer.
They also have a number of shirts of all sizes that you can try on in the dressing room, so you don't have take a new shirt out of the packaging to try it on.
I. B.
Plenty of choice for clothing food & home. Pity those on outskirts of the city & neighbouring towns lack such choice or the company closes local shops. Not conducive to many Inc elderly & others who find it difficult to get to places 10 or 12 miles from home.
S. D.
My husband bought a suit really nice quality, no waiting at the check out staff great and 20 percent discount as I used my sparks card , excellent
S. j.
Very slow in the cafe, pleasant enough staff, but they lack s p e e d!!!! When it's busy you need more serving.... cakes should be near to tills your loosing sales as you are in queue to pay and can't be bothered 're queuing.... have a look at Gordale cafe...
G. R.
I am a fan of M&S,, buy a lot of my clothes there, but really miss the Blue Harbour range from a couple of years ago,, great fitting jeans, much better than the pricier ones they sell now,, still a great Chester store though,,
擠.
V day
G. M.
Good selection of food and friendly staff 😊
G. T.
Very quiet when I visited after work around 1745. Felt covid safe.
R. H.
This is a typical large M&S store conveniently situated right in the middle of Liverpool, Church Street and near to Central station and Liverpool One bus station, also Queen Square where many buses stop.
The shop is often quite busy. M&S have a loyalty card called Sparks Card. Although I use my Sparks card, I am often disappointed at the offers - you rarely get much more than 20% off selected products.
THe cafe on the first floor is always popular and very busy around 11 am to 2 pm but that is to be expected as the food is good and service quite quick.
At the back of the ground floor there is a large section selling food which is of good quality but that is reflected in the price which is often dearer than other supermarkets but, as they say, you get what you pay for! Personally I find the Meals for One very helpful and often buy them.
J. 1.
Lighting is all wrong in M@S in my opinion.
Brighten up, show off the beautiful colours around the shop. A good makeover will make a difference @ getting people spending in your shop.
J. J.
Shop and goods are sound, but need to make aisles wider sonall the old customers can navigate at their own speed and non-disabled customers can walk normally
L. B.
Realised when I got home there was a security tab on my jacket. Contacted M&S Liverpool. They sent a staff member to remove it so I was ready to go to an occasion. Thank you!!!excellent customer service.
R. D.
Staff very helpful in cafe. But as in other branches you never seem to have enough staff on duty in your cafe. Food delicious and fair value.
S. B.
Super food great choice excellent customer service 👌
G.
Feel safe they have made more room between racks etc for social distancing but disappointed they have almost got rid of homeware completely
G. P.
Lovely clothing that’s worth the price. They have quality and fitted clothes. Is a nice place to shop. I’ll always come for more because the clothes caught me.
S. W.
You can get some nice clothes but some are a lil expensive. Food is lovely but same as clothes it can be expensive for a big shop. Staff are friendly and the currency exchange in there is usually quite decent.
m. m.
Possibly the best bargain I ever had! I bought 24 items which should have been £91.20 and I got them all for just 10p each, and so I paid £2.40.
m. f.
Shopped here for many years but over the last few years most of the time i can't find anything i like. My friends say they don't bother going in now. It's a shame because it used to be the one shop we could always find something we liked
S. E.
Straight into the shop. Plenty of cleaning stations for customers. Queued for 5 mins at the reduced number of tills but that's fine.
J. F.
Some staff in lingerie section could improve their customer services skills.certain staff where helpful.returns from other branches should be excepted as most other stores and department store do. Especially when stores like speke retail are closing.staff at Speke where more customer friendly.so some staff should learn from Speke branch as they where great! Hopefully church street will improve next time I visit to give them a 5 star rating as I've never had problem in past in church street.

When we went this morning it wasn't too packed people were observing social distancing and we didn't wait too long to be served
S.
Very average. Too many tables full of dirty pots. Clinical furniture. Not cosy. Scones lacked sugar and small. Coffee ok

Typical M+S,I'm an average sized male, size 32 waist, everything I liked they never had in my size,I never seem to get this problem with other stores,it's no wonder they are struggling, when are they going to learn, and to top it all I paid a visit to the gents,it's the only gents I've been in ever that dosent have urinals, there is a line of cubicals you queue up for.
T. F.
I feel that they don't seem to have much choice in gluten free food in cafe they used to do a nice cake but they have stopped having it so we don't go there for the cafe any more

One of the flagship stores in the heart of Liverpool's city centre, Whether it's clothes shopping or the vast array of lovely foods they have to offer it is always a pleasure to visit with also a relaxing cup of coffee in there restaurant to take a break from the hassle of shopping a long day..

I can rely on M&S food hall when I want to buy special ingredients for continental recipes - all the seeds, seasonings and charcuterie, plus superb mozzarella and burrata cheeses! Plus exceptional bakery products of course.

Went into m&s Liverpool to look for a suit with my husband who hates shopping. Brian from the men's dept came over to ask if we needed any assistance, as my husband finds it hard to get a suit off the peg to fit perfectly, Brian's help was a godsend. He knew exactly what size, length & suit would look better on him. With his help & assistance we left with the suit, a shirt & ( with some persuasion from Brian & myself) a tie! Brian was very helpful , courteous & polite at all times. Thankyou Brian from Paul & joan

Visited cafe, cake & coffee were excellent.
Visited men's toilets. First dedicated men's toilets that I have visited that didn't urinals, so allow time.

It's the same old M & S, with an excellent food hall and wide variety of clothing for all. This trip was only to visit the café.
J. G.
Shop was clean, tidy, well stocked. The only down side was that I was served by someone whom it seemed a chor to so, not what I get in the Nottingham store.
P. W.
Set over several floors this is a large storing covering food, clothing, house ware and bureau de change. Very good store with plenty on offer in the heart of Liverpool city centre. Parking is not near which could be its only downfall.
G.
Big M&S store with a good selection (unlike our local one in Stafford!) bit of a maze to find what i was looking for as the wife had sent me in with a specific list of products to get for her and the little one but managed to find it all eventually in just enough time to get back to the station for my train!
P. B.
Fabulous service from the bra-fit team at m&s church street Liverpool- especially Becka who put my grandaughter Poppy at ease because she is only 12 yrs old. Thank you Becka !!!

Don't get to marks and Spencer much but always a grand atmosphere, brilliant quality products and very friendly and helpful staff. A big credit to M&S.

Staff on ground floor were very helpful, checked if we had any points for ladies garments on our Sparks card .

What has happened to the seats near the bottom of the Escalator, us old men find it suitable to wait for our wives shopping !!!! None buy the main doorway as well. I'm not very impressed !!!!
R.
Went in with the wife to purchase some under crackers and braziers. Not a enjoyable experience for a bloke. No where to sit a wait. Also to warm .
R. N.
A typical M&S food hall. Nice place to shop.
D. P.

It's a M&S - not too much to say. Bit pricey, but good selection at this one, including a good food section. Not car friendly, but very pedestrian friendly.
L. O.
Great quality food, as always. Pricey, but worth it.
P. F.
Excellent store very helpful staff good quality items, however a little overpowered by the lack of space to actually walk around and look at the items more space please.

Marks and Spencers in Liverpool can be an extremely busy store, and with most Marks and Spencers, they often try to fill the shop floor with as many products as possible, meaning it can feel very congested walking around the store. The currency bureau staff are very helpful and this is usually my reason for going into the shop. Though rates for Euros and US Dollars are often lower than competitors, however for other currencies 'exotics' they are usually better value for money.
T. D.
M and S is really good you will get good quality and variety there
O.
I buy my Jumpers here and great cakes. The cafe is expensive but very good. Recommend the pie and mash.
c. b.
Its a very good shop and I go there often.I have only given it four stars because it is a big chain and not as interesting as individual shops and tea rooms etc.
J. S.
Layout of the store seems to change quite often which won't be ideal for everyone. Staff are helpful. Best time to go is during the sales.
P. H.
Always a pleasure to visit and even in these difficult times the staff are always so pleasant and helpful
T. B.
Nice big store but nothing out of the ordinary, had a cooked breakfast which was not very hot, would not have another one if I went
V. N.
Great experience, with baby in tow, the cafe staff offered to help me by carrying my tray ( with a tasty bramwell tart and cortado) to my table.
N. D.
I always shop in here for my clothes: brilliant, staff are so helpful polite and pleasant, not like most shops they stick to your a--e and dont let you breath
a.
Wheelchair access is good, and this store has a better selection of Gents clothes than the ones near my home in Somerset.
S. O.
If you want to see blue rinsed candy floss Tories then Marks and Sparks is the place, it's rare now to see these creatures in Liverpool but your more than likely to see them here.
The custard tarts are the best by far.
