The only decent Japanese grocery store in Finchley area, my only place to get "edible" sushi 🍣 and sashimi.

Best fresh tuna I've eaten in London!! I'm a Spanish expat from the Mediterranean coast, we know our stuff about fish there. This is the only place I could find bluefin tuna, the Atlantic one. The fishmonger is super helpful and will answer all your questions. I made my tuna steak on the grill, I can't describe the smell, the taste... they've got also iberico pork loin here. I will definitely come back!!

I found this place on google maps and was blown away by the freshness, quality and the level of customer service. They are probably the best fish mongers in UK. Nothing I've seen comes close. You can tell by the cuts and the way the fish are prepared. No western fish mongers come close. Also, they carry some of the best quality fish, cooked food and Japanese groceries at reasonable prices. Highly recommend you check them out!

Local Japanese grocery store. Excellent raw fish. Decent amount of frozen and Japanese staple foods. Definitely not cheap, but cheaper than Japanese centre near Soho. Bus stop near by and can usually park in front on the high St.

Great fresh fish and seefood ready to eat. All very good quality and you can always ask for the sashimi cut you want. Also lots of other delicious food from Japan. I would highly recommend this shop to all not only sushi lovers.

I was really happy to find a place to get our staples and the prepared food is good quality. It's necessary to check hours and be prepared to queue and pay by card only. Dissappointed to find many items I was looking for not in stock and the prices much higher for the same products I can get at Wing Yip or Loon Fung. I saw that there was another shop in Golder's Green and decided to make the 45-minute walk there to see if they had more selection and stock, only to find that closed two hours earlier than their posted hours.

If you are looking for Japanese food, especially sushi this is the place to go. I promise you will find stuff you haven't seen anywhere else. They sell fish that you won't easily get anywhere else in London. Try the mackerel, the medium fatty tuna and the butterfish. You can choose to have the fish already cut into Sashimi. The shop is just amazing! It's not cheap, but the quality of the fish is amazing. Best sushi fishmonger in London!

Come here to get my sushi and Sashimi fix, has fresh fresh and sashimi along with pre packaged sushi and other Japanese cooked foods. Also a japanese supermarket carrying lots of ingredients. The sushi is reasonable and pay for the quality. Some of the ingredients can be expensive but assume as a lot of it is imported it carries a premium.

A little slice of Japan in North London. Good sushi in the Golders Green branch and the north Finchley branch has most things you need for Japanese cooking. At least I think so as my wife always comes out with lots of products and cooks up a storm. Pricey mind you and rice wine shop in Brewer Street is cheaper if you can get there.

Excellent fish mongers here. All fish is sushi grade and can be prepared for either sashimi or sushi. Everything else you need for japanese cooking is also sold here. The price is quite high but unless you're willing to go to Seoul plaza in golders green or wing yip at staples corner then it had everything you need. They now sell hot snacks such as tempura, karraage, croquettes etc and have a wide range of fresh veg and frozen produce as well as dry goods like osemba, rice, sauces, nori etc.

Finchley branch of the Japanese ran London based fresh/ dried/ sushi Japanese food and sushi store. An essential destination for the local Japanese community, the High Road Atariya has definitely got the traditional Japanese market vibe to it, especially during the busier hours, with many Japanese market trader greetings coming from the fresh fish kitchen side. Very good selection of soya sauce, mirin, fresh sushi ingredient, good selection of noodle, frozen goods and some selection of general dried Japanese goods such as instant noodles and snacks. Till staff are helpful and friendly, chefs are friendly when treated with respect.
